Apart from the rape scene the only hing I remember about this anime is that the MC was a dumb cunt that got beaten up in every single episode, it's almost like he was a masochist.

He refuses to kill or harm, which is insane, given the absolute shitshow he's in.

>heavy torture, hazing, knifefights, and loli rape
This is nothing. Keep digging in 80's and 90's anime.

I don't think I want to.

Notice how he breaks at the end and beats the shit out of Hamdo, showing he couldn't live up to his ideals.

She's also damaged goods.

Not for her choice

I claim this thread for Hamdo, the rightful king!

Heartwork. Would not advise.

You ruined it

>What the fuck am I watching. The 90's were a different time, man.

Yeah, Now and Then doesn't hold anything back.
I don't really have the words to.. Really explain how I feel about it, but: Now and Then. Here and There. Is easily one of the best anime series I've watched despite how much I didn't like it and how little fun I found it.
It was alarmingly engaging and I couldn't draw myself away from it. I think I ended up marathoning it which is probably why I only have a vague subconscious memory of it.. But boy was it "good" despite what an awful time it put my through.

Isekai done right.

you dont need fucking screens if you actually watched it, i dont recommend this show though not because of this stuff but because it was just not very engaging

NO ABORTION FOR YOU

>This is nothing
Now and Then, Here and There is considered among the darkest and most fucked up TV anime of all time though.
You're only going to find "darker" anime in OVAs, but even then that darkness is mostly meant to be fun like people getting their heads blown off or cute girls being raped for the viewer.

This but also go watch Brigadoon too.

>NO ABORTION FOR YOU

I get that people found this offensive and thought her decision to not return home, get an abortion, etc.. was 'stupid', but I didn't think it was stupid? I didn't like it, but I understood why she wanted to stay?

In the sense that she had 'grown' a lot in a very short amount of time and she had done it in 'this' world; so much so that if she did indeed return she would be more or less a stranger compared to her past life. Her decision may not have been what people wanted, but it was the 'mature' decision to make.

hehehehe
nice one user

OP go watch Brigadoon. Here's a link as a preview. youtube.com/watch?v=E6Wh2nSsmAY

The fact is that according to this story Sara's change of mind and her decision to remain there is considered a sign of maturity and the "good thing" to do, which pisses me off, because the author is basically telling me that going back to her timeline implies some sort of "running away from her responsibilities" - something that's not true at all, she's not responsible for anything, or for the orphans' lives.
In the scene where Sara is introduced she's visibly traumatized, avoids physical contact with the kid MC despite he's also an innocent victim, and whines like a bitch about wanting to go back home (a perfectly understandable reaction).
Since she had to play an active role in that mess of a conflict and was 'forced' to muster up her courage in order to survive, does that mean that it wouldn't be natural for her at the end to want to go back and see her family, parents, friends? Not only she kept the child of her rapist, that's really the problem here, her decision lacks any logic and nobody saw it coming because it wasn't what her development as a character suggested.
Hell, if the MC decided to stay there instead, it would have made more sense since he never questioned anything or showed nostalgia of home.

They killed 75% of the cast by the end of the show. One of the most ruthless isekai around.

>she's not responsible for anything, or for the orphans' lives
Responsibility is the matter of personal choice. Once she decided that she has the responsibility, it was impossible for her to go back.

Hamdo did nothing wrong. Uniting the world under a single kindgom is a good thing.
Whats bad is flooding the whole world bible style.
Fuck la la ru, long live king Hamdo.

>Fuck la la ru
That's the idea

Boku no Pico

He is the only reason the story can work. The show ask if modern first world morals can actually hold against true adversity. If the MC wasn't stupidly optimistic and hard-headed, he would break down in the first episodes, and so would the story.

The real question is what's up with this generation's sensitivity. A girls gets a scratch and everyone is crying. Three generations ago kids your age would be on the frontline killing other kids.

Best girl is Sis

She was pretty bad ass when she went upstairs to get her rifle. The scene was litty.

>literal porn
No thanks

>like people getting their heads blown off or cute girls being raped for the viewer
Ah, Violence Jack.
