youre absolutely right, King Crimson
heh, i wonder who is that DIO guy, since he gets mentioned in literally every part
animefag here
1: just 9 episodes, essential (speedwagon) foundation for all of jojo
3: a lot filler fights that you can skip (looking at you oingo boingo), last third is a fucking great tho
6. same as 3
>animefag here
>6. same as 3
hmmm
Good taste, Diavolo.
>skipping parts
fucking plebs I swear
>Skip part 1
You miss the introduction of Dio, hamon/ripple, and the Jostar curse.
>Skip part 2
You miss Joseph and the speedwagon foundation's introduction.
>Skip part 3
you miss the introduction of stands and the conclusion of Dio.
>Skip part 4
You miss more of Jotaro/Joseph development and the introduction of the stand arrows.
>skip part 5
You miss some cool fights and the introduction of requiem, which was only introduced and concluded in the ending act.
>Skip part 6
You miss the entire conclusion of the Jostar bloodline against the villain that continued Dio's legacy
Part 5 is the worst part. Just accept it. Once the anime is over, you'll soon see that all you can remember are some cool moments here and there.
>skipping the first half of Dio's story
>skipping the second half of Dio's story
>skipping the end of the fucking universe
This has to be bait.
Damn how did the Stone Ocean anime turn out future user
You can't skip oingo boingo.
This is illegal.
>6
You're an animefag stfu
Since we got quality queen back in jojolion. What stand would you want to see back?
>All the skippable parts are with Dio
>>Skip part 4
>You miss more of Jotaro/Joseph development and the introduction of the stand arrows.
what development? that best JoJo has dementia and cheated on his wife?
The hand used by someone smart
>Higashikatas have a 'King' in their stand names.
King crimson.
DIO IS LITERALLY THE "TRIPLE H" OF JJBA, BURYING YOUNG TALENT AND HOLDING EVERYONE BACK FROM REACHING THEIR FULL POTENTIAL, PUCCI WAS JUST ANOTHER GRUNT FOOT SOLDIER HENCHMAN GUY FOLLOWING DIO'S STUPID ORDERS.
Would pillar men succed against stand users?
NON STAND USERS CAN'T SEE STANDS, AND ONLY A STAND USER CAN HURT ANOTHER STAND USER. THE PILLAR MEN WOULDN'T LAST 1 SECOND AGAINST A STAND USER.
Only ultimatte kars, and thats only because he would probably get a stand too.
Still, GER would obliterate him
>he would probably get a stand too.
No he wouldn't get a stand (naturally) unless a he got shot by the arrow or if his family got shot by the arrow (kars doesn't have any family) also the arrow wouldn't be able to pierce his skin.
aren't stands just subtype of hamon or was that retconned too?
It should have a slightly different design, and ONLY have the power of seeing into the future and erasing periods of time, nothing else
kys
Depends on the Stand User, but those who rely on doing damage that is lethal for humans are screwed.
Pillar Men can perfectly ignore The Grateful Dead, Ebony Devil or Sex Pistols for instance. However, the higher tier Stands can perfectly kill Pillar Men.
Even then, Pillar Men are also faster and stronger than the average Stand User, making them perfectly able to kill them; there's practically nobody who can protect themselves from the Holy dubstorm, Wamuu would destroy most Stand Users and just suffer inexplicable wounds as a result.
>Skipping parts
Plebs. If you truly loved Jojo, you wouldn't skip all the parts
>aren't stands just subtype of hamon
Stands were never a subtype of Hamon, Hamon requires training and breathing (it's literally just Hokuto Shin Ken) on the other hand anyone can become a stand user (invisible baby, stray cat) and it doesn't require any training at all.
Ping crimson could dodge holy dubstorm, so's both the worlds. GER would just bring it back to zero and kira only needs to touch him once
Higher tier Stands do fuck Pillar Men, but below time fuckery, there's practically no one.
i finished SBR and i feel so disappointed
-Golden spin is too arbritary, why you have to be in presence with an in-nature Fibonacci to do it? visualing it with your mind is not enough?
-Hot Pants death was bullshit
-Last confrontation with Dio had no catarsis since it was not base Dio, bringing back Za Warudo was so much cheap fanservice that it hurts and base Dio still had character development left regarding his family
-And worst of all, no closing gag with Pocoloco
so many wasted characters, this part had way better writing but had no closure at all on the ending, feels so freaking bad...
>NON STAND USERS CAN'T SEE STANDS
Since when did piller men need something as simple as sight to fight their battles?
At least part 8 is better so far
what about tusk act 4?
The Hand could get lucky and erase their whole head
i will wait at least a couple weeks to pick Jojo again, SBR left me too frustrated, SO had some of the worst arcs in jojo but the ending was soo much better than what we had in SBR, the way the fans praise this part so much i thought i was gonna love it, bu well.....
Tusk Act 4 is surely able to beat Pillar Men, provided they don't know what it does beforehand. Otherwise, they can perfectly slice off a limb to get the opportunity to kill Johnny.
Likewise, The Hand can probably kill Pillar Men if it attacks first. But for instance, Wamuu could also attack first and The Hand cannot erase the whole attack.
No
Finally, a redpilled post on part 7.
1. You have to see the Golden Rectangle exactly. Visualising a rectangle with the perfect proportion is impossible.
2. Agreed, though I never liked Hot Pants so I don't care.
3. I disagree. I was invested in the fight and was completely sold on Johnny basically fighting DIO from part 3. The stakes were perfect and the fight itself quite good.
4. That's a nitpick.
part 7 is really good with some great moments, but it still has all the flaws of a regular jojo story, and all the praise of "perfection" and "magnus opus" being thrown around just play against what the part really is. The hype ruins some of the experience since the flaws you may otherwise had ignored are much more prominent to you when they arrive.
Part 7 is great, not perfect. People tend to go for absolutes when they shouldnt
>skipping 1
>skipping the god tier to be continued endings
na you gay af
6 isn't a great part but it's highly worth reading if only because of the batshit insane Stands that show up and that Jolyene is actually one of the better Jojos.
yeah...i didn't wanted to feel frustrated like this but the shit Araki pulled with Dio at the end broke me, base Dio deserved more than that
1, then it should be explained in the story, the way it was introduced was pretty bland.
about 3, i cant take that fight seriously at all, it was well made but the fanservice was too 'on the nose' and i was invested in Base Dio, not AU dio, i didnt care about him at all and im not a big fan of johnny, im indifferent about him, i liked Gyro a lot more.
as for 4, Araki showed Pocoloco a lot and he even had a stand, having no closure on his character was bad, a little gag would suffice.
Part 4 monkeys and their hatred for part 3 is pathetic
Name 5 stand users wouldn't be fucking obliterated by the divine sandstorm
skipping any Jojo?
Skip 4, its own storyline.
1-2-3-5-6-7-8 are all linked
>a part’s worth is measured by its relevance to later parts
>5
>unskippable
>6
>skippable
No wonder you didn't get your arrow
1. I think Gyro explains lengthily that it must be the Golden Rectangle and that imperfect rectangles don't cut it. How you like the way it is introduced is up to you.
3. That's your taste again. I'm willing to swallow a last fight against a two dimensional villain who comes on of nowhere as long as it's THE WORLD. Besides it's not like Araki indulges in this stuff too often so I'm willing to tolerate it. Finally, I think that the fight itself is so well made it compensates for the lack of personal link between Johnny and this Diego. And well, if you don't like Johnny there's little chance you like a fight with him only; I do like Johnny a lot so seeing him struggle is cool for me.
4. I think that for Araki, Pocoloco sorta became irrelevant in chapter 55 when Johnny and Gyro outplayed him. If one character is beaten, then he's beaten (in Araki's mind). That's pretty much Araki's way of handling minor characters. He usually doesn't give much thought about them beyond their base personality and Stand power. It's been this way since forever I think. That's Araki's style, like it or not.
>I don't care
your caring is not relevant, cheap nonsensical deaths like that are always bad for the story
I’m pretty sure that the ultimate being would be able to awaken a stand naturally.
>skipping any parts
pic related should be the reward of being a heathen
For starters, I don't read JoJo for the plot. How complex, or tight a plot is irrelevant to how I enjoyed the story as a whole. I don't care so I don't care.
Besides, Hot Pant's death is not cheap or nonsensical. Someone had to die so that readers can get that the space distorsion is dangerous. Hot Pants just happened to be there. Otherwise, nobody would understand Gyro's death.
What about castration?
Golden Brainlet not getting the point.
Part 5 is the most disappointing part because it doesn't really bring anything interesting to the table without immediately forgetting it or ending it there. So much potential from Giorno, the setting, and the requiem stands but it really just didn't matter in the end. Out of any other part, Golden Wind feels the most optional and unimportant.
There should’ve been a few panels in the final chapter of Pocoloco and Hey Ya celebrating their victory.

4 is a shitty mess but 7 is kino.
>Unskippable parts

that and a life lobotomy
well, if this boils down to a matter of taste then its useless to talk anything further since anything i say you will rebut with 'no u', it always boils down to a measure of egos with defensive points like that, the most important thing in jojo are the characters and the end of part 7 was severely lacking it, the last fight with Dio didnt do anything for Johnny character, it was a fight for the sake of fanservice and that alone, the powercreep with the spin was too much and the power was was visually boring, srsly, get kicked by a horse and now you can do infinite damage, this is a pretty bad power system.
and frankly, all your points in favor off SBR was talking "it was cool for me", its impossible to take anything seriously from you if you defend it like that, its just blind fanboyism

>skipping all the Dio parts
Heh nothing personnel
You won't get your arrow unless you watch all the parts and read everything that hasn't been animated yet. How 'bout that, bossu? Also, suck my dick.
>blast through parts 1 & 2 with immense enjoyment in just a few days, getting excitement up for part 3
>take almost a month to trudge through the first ~18 episodes of part 3 and am struggling to keep going
the stands are cool but it's such a fucking slog with the villain of the week shit and with how joseph is somehow still the best character (barring polnareff, he's good and nice) even though his personality has been incredibly neutered in order to make way for jotaro. please please please tell me it gets better when they get to egypt, or at least when/if i get to part 4
The D'arby brothers are Vanilla Ice are pretty much the only good arcs in Part 3.
It does get better in Egypt.
But by not much.
Part 3 is a slog on your first watch/read but you kind of appreciate it hindsight when you realize that you'll miss all these dumb moments since it's meant to be a comfy roadtrip. At least without knowledge of the end, it's not helped by the looming threat of Dio.
Also Polnareff sort of hijacks the plot away from everyone else, it's why he's infamously popular since he actually stays relevant till the end. The climax is good though and features a lot of Joseph, Jotaro and Polnareff.
Please don't use Happy Crimson for your low quality posts.
But Bucciarati, if I go through all the parts properly, how will I be sure that you'll stick around to give me the arrow?
i'll keep an eye & ear out when i come across them then, thanks for the heads up
that's somewhat reassuring. i don't think part 3 is -bad- by any means, but when i talked to folks (on here and otherwise) about picking the series up, a very common sentiment was "parts 1 & 2 are alright, but feel free to skip them if you don't really like them. part 3 is where it gets real good anyway" and i feel like i got kicked in the balls because it's been the complete opposite so far
damn alright, i'll keep that in mind. "dumb moments" is a good way to put it, because outside of the actual fighting and violence, a lotta pt 3 seems way campier than the first 2 were but if it gets serious later on i'm sure it'll be a nice balance or transition
big thank for the responses folks, i'll do my best to keep going with it
Yeah, I didn't like it the first time after enjoying Parts 1 and 2 so much, but in hindsight, you really appreciate it for the dumber moments of the cast just being idiots especially after shit hits the fan in the climax and everything's said and done.
I still prefer Part 2 out of the three, but 3 grows on you in retrospect.
>skipping parts
the anime has made weebs fucking weak
skip 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6
only read 7 and 8
he was dead, theres was nothing to prove, it was just padding to make fancervise, theres nothing creative about it, we already saw the world, this new dio didnt add anything to the plot, it was just valentine last shot to keep jesus in the u.s. for his boring uni-dimensional plan, it felt flat since this Dio is forced on the story, his base version and most of the characters were left unconcluded.
everything interesting in SBR was left unfinished.
So I've been thinking about this for a minute, in a The World vs King Crimson situation, I think The World would win.
Because even though King Crimson's ability is said to be "Skipping past time", he's really locking the future actions of those around him in, acting according to what he sees, and then noone but him remembers that time period. To his opponents it looks unstoppable, but I think if we were to be able to view it from a completely objective viewpoint he would appear to be winning only by the barest skin of his teeth, although doing so very, very, very consistently.
If DIO and Diavolo were to fight with the intent of killing each other, Diavolo would be able to foresee himself suddenly being killed by THE WORLD, and while he may be able to move for a counterattack, there's nothing stopping DIO from seeing that his attack failed and simply activating The World again.
Part 2 is best part and has best JoJo. Completely undeniable Joseph is the absolute best.
>ONLY have the power of seeing into the future and erasing periods of time
So, the exact fucking same then?
how could you skip 6? it's the most relevant part
>how could you skip 6?
Through King Crimson's ability, of course
What ethnicity is Giorno
half jap, half british
Which is fucking retarded, Jolyne is more italian than him
>starting with part 7 and ignoring the previous parts
>wojak frog poster is also a sbretard
Who would have thought
>he was dead, theres was nothing to prove
Is this a joke? Showing that Valentine had one last backup plan absolutely contributed to his character.
>it was just padding
>this new dio didnt add anything to the plot
He did prevent Johnny from winning the race, prove that Johnny still isn’t invincible, and gave the two surviving side characters a chance to help.
The Volume title is a reference to this song youtube.com
So who's Jim Hellwig then?
>Skips 3
STANDS? Who the fuck is Jotaro? Who the fuck is Dio? Why are those two showing up on every part?
>Skip 3, the one that made JoJo appear on the map
>Can't skip 5
Remember when Golden Experience returned all damage to the instigator and being hit by GE sent the recipient into an outer-body experience?
Remember when Diavolo couldn't interfere with anything during skipped time, so had to tactically position himself during the time skip
Araki sure as fuck did, and it's the 2nd sign he gave up on actually planning out this shit heap past 4.
Part 4 fags still salty Kira got killed by Jotaro and not Josuke.
Part 5 is the definition of a skipable part
This.
4 is literally a filler
1-6 is all filler user
Real Jojo begins at part 7
You should never skip parts, however, lore-wise part 5 adds nothing important to the series, VAfaggot
Just because you don't like what it added, doesn't mean it didn't add.
Origin of stands, what put DIO onto getting stand power, and the setting itself (what if I just made an entire organized GANG of stand users?). Hell, the fact that Giorno even exists gives flavor to DIO's character if that's the shit you actually care about.
Part 6 was the most bizarre part
>Jojos
>Origin of stands
yes (origin of the arrows sounds better)
>what put DIO onto getting stand power
arrow was introduced in part 4
>the setting itself (what if I just made an entire organized GANG of stand users?).
nah, what's the point if they barely fight together? for obvious reasons they're always divided
and the gangster setting in theory sounds awesome, but there isn't any actual mafia shit after the first episodes
>Hell, the fact that Giorno even exists gives flavor to DIO's character if that's the shit you actually care about.
"bruh, dio fucked a woman, maybe he's not that bad of a person woah" and that's it
>wanting to skip this
No part is unskippable, feel free do whatever the fuck you want with your life, just know that if you skip anything no one will take you seriously.
Don't forget the absolute bullshit treatment Sandman got.
>Origin of stands
Reveal of arrows being made out of an alien virus imbued meteor is fucking retarded and you know it. Also, literally midichlorians.
>the setting itself
Great idea and potential wasted.
>the fact that Giorno even exists gives flavor to DIO's character
Giorno being Dio's son is completely irrelevant other than cheap fanservice so he can say muda, that is it. Wasted.
If there's one part that needs a completely different story to make more proper use of its characters, setting and powers, it is definitely 5.
I'm really liking Part 5 because where i live irl
>want to read part 7
>its about medieval horse racing
wtf
should I do it
stray cat, rohan kishibe, giorno, anybody with time stop, koichi could probably just 3 freeze wamuu into the ground, magenta magenta, funny valentine, vanilla ice, kira with bites the dust, illuso, that guy that from part 5 with kraftwerk, D-I-S-C-O, diavolo, actually kira using sheer heart attack might be able to beat wamuu
idk there's probably a bunch more but i'm not done with part 6 or 8 yet and i'm tired
>part 4
>planned out

>this level of mental defect reaching unimaginable levels
Holy shit, how are all part chads able to survive in this crazy world
This avatarfagging shit, I assume that these reddit-tier opinions are all part of the funny joke and you're being ironic, right
Didn't the stand asteroids come from pieces of Ultimate Kars?
Well it's the best part so yeah
how about you skip all the parts then, fuck it just skip Jojo
i understand that you want to get to the good stuff but the good stuff wouldn't be enjoyable without the other stuff , you know
So embarrassing that people enjoy this awful series. Has so few redeeming qualities, but then again people who enjoy anime typically have an extremely low IQ.
Yes.
The hamon parts are shit and skippable
Kill yourself Douchevolo.
>The hamon parts are shit and skippable
who is DIO and why are these guys going to Egypt to kill him
yeah ok user
litterally noone cares about that, its miles better than giorno stu beating everyone
Josuke is more of a Gary Stu than Giorno.
In fact even with the better healing ability in Golden Experience, Giorno consistently gets more fucked up in his fights than Josuke ever did.
Gary Stu my ass.
Except Josukes healing being better never matters as Giorno never has any problems with healing, and Josuke unlike Giorno stu uses his same ability in every fight, whereas Giorno has a new one each time he starts getting his ass kicked
what's the difference between josuke beating everyone and giorno beating everyone?
Yeah the King theme is so oddly specific I have to wonder where Araki is doing with it. Why King? I know the Higashikatas in general have a playing card theme but every one of their stands has King specifically.
this is some bites the dust level shit
Part 3 is far and away better in the manga. Araki's art really improves and he adds in so many fun little details like the custom tarot designs, and the sense of detail is amazing. The characters are all more expressive too.
giorno getting new powers every fight instead of brainstorming a way to defeat the enemy you fucking retard
Part 2 is the actual worst part but no one wants to admit it because the anime has cool music and fixes Araki's awful art (at the time). It really is a slog to read that's only held up by Joseph. Hamon gets so dumb and bad here, like that time Caesar controls a girl to beat up Joseph (And then later complains about ACDC doing the same, you people love to point out plotholes but I never see this brought up). Lisa Lisa is absolutely worthless and everything about the Red Stone is the most cliche thing Araki's ever written.
However the final fight is amazing.
Josuke has the power of killing all tension
lmao what, he can't even heal himself pt5fags are so delusional they keep grasping at straws
I still can't believe that Josuke's time travel incident sent Kars back to prehistory who then crashed to Earth which caused his cells to mutate into the stand virus and then many millenia later some crazy old fart made arrows out of them.
Since injuries are irrelevant to Josuke and he can just fix anyone, he brings the stakes to the lowest point in Jojo.
learn how to formulate a sentence, pt5tard.
Jojo pt4 is the high point in the series, according to araki himself
>People take shounenshit this seriously
Part 1 was the best, by the way. That's still a "meh" though.
Jojo is not some pinnacle of entertainment.
That ghostly ripple shit was just some horseshit Araki made up so the transition from hamon to fighting ghosts with abilities didn't seem too retarded but there is no correlation between the two
Was Johnny the highest IQ Jojo for instantly figuring out timestop?
When the fuck was this said exactly?
go watch your moeblobs about everyday life you asocial freak
>Koichi is seemingly killed.
>Jotaro is seemingly killed.
>Viewers are getting emotional
>*Josuke easily heals them*
>Same with Rohan
>Same with Okuyasu
Part 4 really had the lowest stakes and Josuke was a Gary Stu. The way he got his energy back against Yuya Funagami was ridiculous but hey keep spamming "Giorno Stu" like it will move your argument any further.
If you skip parts 1 or 3, you are absolutely disabled and should kill yourself.
>>Koichi is seemingly killed.
>>Jotaro is seemingly killed.
>>Viewers are getting emotional
just because you got fooled like a retard doesn't mean "viewers" did
>rohan
josuke never healed rohan, you're a speedreader so i won't respond to any more of your bait
I can understand that scene because that just meant Diavolo was going to do that regardless and he just followed fate
>I only watch mature anime for mature people, such as myself
You have to be at least 18 to use Yea Forums.
>watching every season of god knows how many series of cute girls doing cute things
>not disabled
definition of insanity
Feels good to like every part while accepting their flaws.
Part 4 basically had no major character died.
>grandpa died
Who?
>shigechi died
Die you little shit
>the doctor died
Meh whatever
>Rohan died
Yes but actually no.
The part 789 trilogy will be Araki's opus and the only parts that'll matter.
holy shit dude do you know english?
Josuke healed Rohan after the highway star incident and they had a huge argument you dumb bitch. Jotaro was there was well.
I'VE COME TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT: BRUNO BUCCELLATI IS A BITCH ASS MOTHERFUCKER. HE STOLE MY FUCKING DAUGHTER. THAT'S RIGHT, HE AND HIS FRIEND GIORNO GIOVANNA TOOK THEIR FUCKING STANDS OUT AND THEY RESCUED MY FUCKING DAUGHTER AND THEY SAID THEIR RESOLVE WAS "this biiig" AND I SAID "FATE CHOSE ME, NOT THEM"

Jotaro gets stabbed and punched, so no.
Josukes stand puts a hole through his mom, so no.
Stands can interact in the world just like anything else. They just don't have mass or take up space. They are ghosts that can move shit. Unless you mean that a non stand user cannot attack a stand, which i don't believe has ever happened in the series.
