I pass my turn
Let's see how you'll handle THIS
This should have been the first reply. Disappointed in you, Yea Forums.
Does this card prevent the flip effect as the card is destroyed and banished?
>190461653
that's a spell, not an attack
user didn't dare
I DON'T THINK SO!
Yes, the card isn't flipped face up when it's destroyed.
Think again!
Hell yeah gagagigo story guy
that's a big card
Yes.
STOP RIGHT THERE
Also thick.
Ofcourse, it's a god card
...
heh...
>chaining a continuous trap to a counter trap
lrn2 spell speed.
You cannot chain that to solemn judgement you fool!
JUDGE!! He's using a fake card! It isnt even the right color of an effect monster!
FOOL, YOU FELL FOR MY TRAP'S TRAP!
my friend always played this card and it pissed me off every single fucking time because he'd rush it to the field ASAP and fuck my entire strategy up (I had an OG deck with no tuner or fusion monster cards)
FUCK YOU TOO!
Remember when 4 star 1900 atk monsters were good?
4u
remember when monster cards didn't have an entire paragraph if effects and stipulations?
You can't chain a monster effect to a counter trap.
I don't know what you could possibly be talking about
Yep I don’t understand this zoomer xyz/tuner/pendulum bullshit
Yeah I remember when the game was boring as fuck and you just summoned Summoned Skull and flailed at your opponent's cards hoping they weren't a Man Eaterbug or Penguin Soldier.
Not really.
Nirvana High Paladin is smalltime.
For kids!
Relinquished was piss easy to understand though.
My brother had a dragon deck with a thousand ways to summon red eye darkness dragon, it was the most busted shit ever to my 14 year old eyes
>Pot of Greed is bad and should be banned
>Yet there are decks that literally can have you fill out your entire field in one turn with a chain reaction of bullshit effects
Why is Konami so fucking stupid?
that's just a small hand
It would just make those decks plus literally every other deck even easier to get all their shit out. Unlike archetype-specific cards, it works with fucking everything.
All the new convoluted rules made it so it’s a nightmare to program a video game based on them. That’s why we haven’t gotten a new one in forever.
you stand no chance
2-for-1 with no downsides is a lot of card advantage.
>he doesn't know
wimp
it doesn't fucking need them either, just put all those effects repeated across cards into the rules and use keywords
Do you have a card that is super valuable to you, even if it isn't actually worth much?
I play casually with a group of friends and one of them exclusively uses decks focused around dark monsters, so having this guy in my warrior deck has saved me more than once.
yeah now you just build a dino deck and win the game
even though it isn't a great card, I love chaos necromancer. So many times I held it in my hand until near the end of the duel, and I got all my shit together, and played black hole to destroy everything, then summoned chaos necromancer and 1 shot my opponent.
I think it's cool Konami references its own games in cards.
Based Dino CHADS
>why yes, I DO play superdonductor tyranno every single game and slowly chip away at my opponent's lifepoints until he either gives up or loses, how could you tell?
Because it's a card with no downsides to playing that synergizes with a wide variety of decks. It makes it easier to get what you want and basically becomes mandatory in every deck, which is the reason it's not even limited. I'm personally in the boat that it should be limited, but I understand the reason behind the ruling.
I'm also in the boat that they should just reprint Pot of Greed with Reckless Greed's effect (or at least something that makes use of its design) since you get three perks at once -- Pot of Greed's effect with a minor drawback, Pot of Greed's kino design, and a magic card instead of a shitty trap card. Just call it Damaged Pot of Greed and call it a day.
My nigger. My go to deck focused on cards with Chaos in the name and random things like Black Luster Soldier that use light and dark monsters and banish the opponent's stuff.
(Also, Reckless Greed isn't limited in any way, so you can have three of it in your deck)
I really liked spellcounter decks, in fact i lost interest in yugioh the moment it became even more unviable then it already was
rituals were near impossible to summon back in the day, so it's effect was justified.
Relinquish is an exception. It's the final boss card of S1 and deserves such a treatment.
Today, even cards that never appeared on the anime can have so much text walls
Don't fret no one else understands the rules anymore either.
This, the current record holder for longest card text, is an anime card >
>Paying half your life points
Just use magic jammer, jesus.
Is this CHAD the number one duelist now?
I don't have to. I win
yeap, those were the days *sips*
2500 atk for only 1 tribute
Based AF monster that dabs on Dark Magician
Really cool looking aesthetics.
Modern yugioh is pretty fun though very different. I love how the players are always grinding against Konami. Like the lead up to banning firewall, it was a roit to see Konami shoot archetypes in the head because they didn't want to ban their cover card.
No way am I attacking man eater bug.
But spellcounters is a good deck.
sure thing
that's cute
Why would you play Man-Eater Bug face down?
Too bad I also place Yami on the field Increasing Summoned Skull's attack power by 200 poiint up to 2700 attack points
How come this never got as popular?
Is it because it is rarer or simply because it never appeared on the anime?
I mean, he can also place Umi
This lil bastard.
Back when special summoning wasnt _this_ fucking dumb, getting him on the field was winning half the duel.
came later, not sure if its in anime (maybe it was in GX?).
I believe that when it was released there were more advanced tactics around so it didnt shine as much.
and while it might be the strongest 1 tribute normal monster, it has no real support. So ofc blue eyes will always outshine it (besides the Kaiba advantage ofc).
When I was like 10 years old Solemn Judgement literally seemed like the worst card of all time to me.
>okay you can negate ONE card but that can cost you like 4000 life points if you use it early on wtf that's such a bad deal.
Only now do I realize how busted it is and how little life points matter(ed).
I like this guy. He has a whole anthology of instances where he said no to things.
Yes, pic related. Yu-gi-oh! was just at its beginning in my country and many kids played it at school. Unfortunately, my family wasn't really that wealthy at the time and we had to many problems to deal with so I didn't say anything to my parents.
One day my father took me home from a classmate's house and he noticed the cards. He told me that I should have talked with him about the current trend among kids and that I should wait a bit. After a more or less a week he bought for me the “Yugi Evolution” Starter Deck. He gave me the deck and said that he appreciated my patience and understanding.
So pic related helps me to remember a nice memory of a father who tried to do his best to make his son happy.
I put my face down and ass up!
Go away, Pegasus
>paying
I don't understand.
underrated
>losing a card
nah son, I need that hand advantage
That doesn't work though
>tfw there's so much shit that stops destroy effects that bouncing is genuinely better
Sup dawg, I heard you guys are reminiscing about the good old days so I came to hang out.
I mean to summon Relinquised you just need to sacrifice literally any monster with the ritual card since it only needs a sacrifice of 1+ stars to summon.
>play Lair of Darkness
>enemy ragequits
If only this deck wasnt so damn inconsistent.
>Lair of Darkness
>Inconsistent
Wait what? How?
whats stopping the characters from running around the battlefield and beating the shit out of the other guy?
At least a pure lair one, far more traps/spells than monsters can lead to some damn dead hands.
level ups were the shit
I mean in most cases there is some magic shit involved that stops them.
My nugget jinzo Jones doesn't like you treading on his turf
>Raigeki is back
>2nd best boi is ded forever
fuck this shit sometimes.
You fool!
I use a grave keepers deck as a way of forcing people to do a vanilla beatdown, no special summoning, dead cards stay dead, and you have to put in considerable work to change that
Not anymore.
It's a bit cringy but it's my signature card I always run it no matter what.
This just reminds me of how trash the series and the card game became after introducing synchros and everything else that came afterwards
5D's was the peak of the anime and the synchro era was the best era of the card game too.
*literally blocks your path*
I always hated the logos on the backs of the cards, looks so cheesy.
SPUNK YES
There is literally no deck in existence that would not play as many copies of Pot of Greed as allowed.
IT BETTER NOT BE HANE HANE OR I'LL FLIP THE TABLE, I SWEAR.
you couldnt be any more wrong, duelling on bikes was fucking retarded and synchros were the beginning of the downfall of the card game and ruined the fun for everyone but competetive players
>implying early Xyz wasn't the best
You sound like the kind of retard who thinks summoned skull beatdown is the peak of the card game. No one is forcing you to play competetively and it's easier than ever to find people who want to play older formats. Grow up.
Also if we're ranking anime series 5D's >= DM > GX > Zexal II > Arc-V > VRAINS > Zexal I
If the original series didn't have such long and awful filler it would probably be ranked above everything else.
Lmao just run over it.
is there more porn of them now?
>evol is actually getting a new card in one of the upcoming sets
I mean I can understand if they're nostalgia pandering for a deck from the anime or something. A deck people would know.
But who the FUCK asked for evol support
Zexal II was equal or better than Dark Signers 5Ds
Kaiba's Gestapo turns up and throw you to prison.
Not enough
5Ds >= Zexal > DM > GX > Vrains > Arc-V
If trash like the sacred beast is getting new support, why not the cute dinos?
Eh, I think it would've been better if the deaths of all the side characters actually mattered instead of just having a "numeron dragon lol" ending where everyone is alive and friends with each other. The journey there was absolutely great though.
>Shark's character development
>all of Yuma's friends dueling the Barian emperors
>Galaxy-Eyes showdown on the moon
>everything with Vector
>Yuma vs Nasch
I just love whn old cards get either some support or become part of arquetipe, i loved how there Summoned Skull for every tipe of Summon
Sure thing bro.
The ending of Yuma vs Eliphas is probably my favorite duel ever
OCG has upstart goblin at 3 though
That was very nice, user.
t. people who haven't played the game in the past 10 years.
if only you guys could see what it's become today..
remember that time when they created cards that counted as both monster and spell cards?
At least you're not forced to build your deck around Pendulum monsters if you want to use your extra deck.
The damage is still felt to this day.
Fucking konmai
>summon Jirai Gumo on attack mode
>never attack as to not activate the retarded coin effect, but 1900 atk is enough incentive for the enemy to not start shit
i love you you big fat retarded spider
jesus what the fuck is this even
A generic form of non-targeting non-destruction removal used in many decks to out cards they wouldn't normally have an answer to.
Thunder Dragon is a based deck
>non-targeting
>non-destruction
Wait, what? First of all, the first effect targets. Second of all, that card can't remove anything by itself without destroying it by battle.
HAHAH, THAT WAS A GOOD MOVE Yea Forums. BUT NOW IT'S TIME FOR MY REAL STRATEGY TO BEING.
I ACTIVATE POT OF GREED, WHICH ALLOWS ME TO DRAW TWO ADDITIONAL CARDS
2200 attack.
SECOND I ACTIVATE POT OF GREED, THIS LETS ME DRAW TWO CARDS FROM MY DECK.
BUT I'M NOT DONE YET, NEXT I'LL PLAY POT OF GREED. THIS ALLOWS ME TO TAKE TWO CARDS FROM MY DECK AND ADD THEM TO MY HAND.
>TAKE TWO CARDS FROM MY DECK AND ADD THEM TO MY HAND
Damn, that's even better than Pot of Greed. Like a Frightfur Patchwork but for any cards in your deck.
>non-targeting
>non-destruction
He seems to have put the wrong card.
Specifically this version of Hiita the Fire Charmer. She was the first card I can actively remember basing a deck around. I can remember younger me loving the ability to take an opponent's monster and she was the first one I ever pulled from a booster pack.
If I recall, Toons was actually the first deck I ran due to starter deck Pegasus though.
but what does it do?
Would you let this dude fuck your sister?
Well I don't even know my dude that's just what Yugi says in the first result I found on youtu- I MEAN
AND NOW I WILL PROCEED TO PLAY POT OF GREED
AH, I'M GLAD YOU ASKED. POT OF GREED LETS ME DRAW TWO ADDITIONAL CARDS FROM MY DECK
You're gonna get it now....
Then i activate this!
If I had a choice? No. But it's Seto Kaiba so I don't really have a choice now do I?
This glorious fucker right here beat me to it
My sister doesn't fuck jobbers
THOSE ARE SOME SOUND STRATEGIES RIGHT THERE, HOWEVER I HAVE AN ACE UP MY SLEEVE.
AND THAT ACE IS CALLED POT OF GREED.
THIS CARD ALLOWS ME TO DRAW TWO ADDITIONAL CARDS.
You can't tho
Not so fast! I play Pot of Greed!
By activating this card, I can excavate the top two cards of my main deck. Those two cards are then added to my hand, and the tributed spell card "Pot of Greed" is then sent to the GY!
Dracossack, Utopia, and Tsukoyomi are probably my favorite cards. dracossack is a fucking dragon plane, it's just so cool, and Tsukuyomi was such a versatile and beautiful card.
You don't even have a hand anymore and can't draw cards for the rest of the turn.
>Billionaire
>Highest IQ
>Pure Adonis
Your sister is an idiot
BUT I CAN AND NOW I WILL PROCEED TO SUMMON POT OF GREED WHICH ALLOWS ME TO DRAW TWO ADDITIONAL CARDS FROM MY DECK
FUCK
>Highest IQ
>can't win a childrens card game
Does anyone have the screenshots of the online game where the guy played like Yugi?
Just activate the jug boss.
He can... just not against the guy who cheats using actual fucking magical powers.
>the card isn't flipped face up when it's destroyed
it's banished you pleb
spell reckless greed is a horrible idea, your opponent would never survive in time for you to actually feel the drawbacks if you drew it. I think reckless is perfectly balanced as is, and we have way to many +1 generic spells.
Yeah, but you need both the spell, and the ritual monster in your hand. If you draw 1 without the other, you're essentially playing with a neg 1, as you have a useless card in hand.
This card is retarded. I want to punch whoever came up with it.
>Umi
Umi does not increase water attribute monsters user.Pic related is what you need.
good for you I guess, we didn't have much money and a big family and lots of fighting so I was apprehensive about asking for things as well. I remember trying to work up the courage to ask my mom for a starter deck in target, but I never did. as for my dad buying it forget about it. the only thing I liked he ever seemed to take interest in was the movie small soldiers, probably because it had led zeppelin in it. I didn't go over to classmate's houses either, the only kids I hung out with were kid's in my distant family. I did try to hint at things through them at times, like talk about a game system I wanted hoping it would reach back to my parents and I'd magically acquire these things I yearned for but it never happened. makes my heart shudder to think of it, those moments where you'd be in a store staring at something you couldn't have hoping that some stranger would notice that you obviously deserved that thing and would buy it for you. fuck it though, I buy decks and shit with NEETbux now.
Bro that is no joke the worst duel in the series. Eliphas conducted multiple shining draws in that game, while Yuma only conducted one. Logically Eliphas would've destroyed him during that game.
>Jobber
>Usurped his father's zaibatsu as a child, cucking him so hard that he literally kills himself by jumping out of a window
>Cannibalized high-tech military technology to make childrens' games
>Accidentally created the perfect conduit for ancient egyptian demons to wage their timeless war through Duel Monsters
>Earthbound demons and an ancient sky dragon do the same years later
>Only truly lost against people that were canonically cheating (Pegasus, Atem, etc)
>Erected schools and universities to groom the next generation of duelists into more suitable opponents
>Society is so contractually obligated to obey the rules of the game that you can settle anything from prison sentences to race wars with a duel
>Shoot a bunch of cards into space, accidentally trick omnipotent beings into thinking their powers lie in a childrens' card game and give rise to intergalactic civilizations of duelists
>MotoX and Derby racing are absorbed by the game, simply to make it more interesting
>Also, he became a superhero once
>Jobber
t. Joey
Considering the fact that trickstars won't get anymore meaningful support. That card + droll is essentially their win con.
He also has six pack abs.
>speedreading
It's destroyed first afterwards, it's banished.
>Accidentally created the perfect conduit for ancient egyptian demons to wage their timeless war through Duel Monsters
Pegasus did it
>Only truly lost against people that were canonically cheating (Pegasus, Atem, etc)
Yugi beat him in a fair way in the new movie
>Shoot a bunch of cards into space, accidentally trick omnipotent beings into thinking their powers lie in a childrens' card game and give rise to intergalactic civilizations of duelists
Nice headcanon
Can atem be considered cheating? He's just that good of a player imo. Also Kaiba threatened to an hero, if Yugi didn't let him win a children's card game, lol.
Nice blog. I read it all.
Well if you are Batman, and you lose to a bunch of other heroes with actual superpowers, that doesn't really make you a jobber, does it? That just makes you a crazy rich person in over your head. Kaiba is the Batman of Yugioh, and I wouldn't call Batman a jobber.
But Batman is always winning. That is why people call him Batgod
If Clark Kent had thr ghost of a dead king who could mind rape people Batman would probably get the shit beat out of him and his brain fuckled too.
user the only life point that actually matters is the last one.
Even with 1 lp you can still activate Solemn judgement.
>Kaibafags
you fell right into my hands
No, YOU did!
I play
Flip the table and smash my chair over Kaiba's head in attack mode!
Inaba White Rabbit. That lucky animal saved me a lot as a child. Although, now that I play Duel Links, it’s probably something like Il Blud or Maneater Bug. My zombie deck got me all the way to the top back when Red Eyes was still meta. These days, I don’t care about rating, so I play a lot of Insect Trap Hole trolling.
I play Platinum Angel
>but Atem is a cheater!
>Joey beat him
Explain this, Kaiba niggers
wtf is this! you cheater! CHEATER!
Luck is just as shitty as magic.
this one is totally fair
Joey is the third best duelist in the world (pre-Jaiden) and he has the highest luck stat of every character.
Reminds me that I unfortunately deleted an old save file of yugioh world championship 2007 and forgot one cant download the online only ghost data for 10 years now, (somehow that hurt me deeply, it was like removing old friends), had every downloadable char before and that included Joey, I dont know if it had modified RNG, but that NPC managed to have a really well-working deck despite using dice cards and whatever joey gimmick stuff.
I'll never get why they made fucking don zaloog as the last download char though
Its over! With these 5 cards in my hand i automaticly win!
I miss this motherfucker
Is Master Peace the strongest monster to ever exist?
Are we judging just by the strength of its effects? Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon is probably up there too.
>Master Peace
Ultimate Falcon is stronger, but is harder to get out.
>ignore everything
>except a fart in his general direction, which will kill him
>Can atem be considered cheating? He's just that good of a player imo.
He literally calls out the cards he plays without looking at them. They finally acknowledge the fact in the duel against him at the end of the series.
>Didn't even bother to put tactical genius in the card description
Since when has /tg/ been this lazy to even put together a half decent shitpost
tbf thats what happened at Cadia
Creature swap on legs with a few cards that can summon her from the deck.
I'm retarded
>target
its shit.
I haven't been interested in the game in years, but there's something I really like about the ancient gear series.
they're a viable deck now. they got lots of support.
>not taking any of their monsters that isn't immune to targeting and giving them a gusto floater to run over in the battle phase to summon another gusto from the deck for synchro or link plays in main phase 2
Or you could just let them keep their big boss monster or give them one with a kaiju and ram floaters into it with her upgraded form, Sphreez, on the field.
This is part of the Jar archetype.
Do you want to attack it?
>Also Kaiba threatened to an hero, if Yugi didn't let him win a children's card game, lol.
Mokuba's life was on the line which was more important. Plus, Atem cheated even in that game by blatantly disregarding the rules and common sense. Polymerization can apparently work on your enemy's monsters and also cause them to rot, somehow, which apparently renders them useless? I'd've skipped the threat if I had to put up with that bullshit.
Back then, the rules were "Whatever Kaz thought was cool and vaguely made sense."
If you were running water monsters back then, you were most likely running A Legendary Ocean to normal summon lv 5 monsters or 1 tribute lv 7 monsters. lv 6 monsters just didn't benefit from it since they'd still need a tribute, and it would be better to use lv7 monsters at that point. As well Dark/Fiend monsters had a lot of support cards.
Why the hell is a wizard that is also a magical creature so buff?
I see you haven't heard the story of the Honolulu Pro Tour
Looking from the side he appears even more buff
You can't house powerful magic in the body of a fucking pussy. Does that look like a fucking pussy to you, because it looks like a WOLF to me. More muscles = more magic.
I attack it with my Shooting Quasar Dragon. Your flip effect is negated by Quasar's effect after which I attack you directly for 4000 damage.
Holy fuck how did I understand this shit as a five year old
Because there's a lot of words but it's a straightforward effect
>Equip an enemy monster to gain its stats
>>Face-down monsters yield 0/0 ATK/DEF
>Battle damage is dealt to both players when a monster is equipped, and the equipped monster is destroyed
Easy and straightforward
Links seem really fucking stupid
This guy.
>Cool as shit design
>Passable attack at the time
I mistook DD survivor as his retrain for a while thanks to Neo's description.
With pleasure (^_-)
INCREDIBLY based
>ITT: people who conflate what they played for fun with what was meta
You'd still have fun today if you played like that.
Go look at the 2004 world champ list before you reply.
D.D. Survivor is a retrain of Chain Trasher, the card you posted got a retrain with Trance the magic swordman.
La di da old man.
I play one card facedown.
I always loved the cyber dragons.
People misunderstand Yugioh through the memes. We know of Yugioh as a card game, but in the anime it's really more like having stand battles through cards, with the game being more of a sport. So If you watch Yugioh through the lens that it's just a card game, you're watching it wrong. Also, Seasons 0 and 1 of Yugioh were kino.
Everytime I think about getting into yugioh they add a new type of monster that seems even dumber than the last.
Everything past xyz seems retarded.
>the heart of the cards is with me, my next card is...
>fucking kuriboh, fml
>it's really more like having stand battles through cards
No, that's just with Duelist Kingdom, the Egyptian God Cards, and those two filler arcs.
Season 5 isn't really about cards until the very end, and the shenanigans in Battle City were nowhere near as common, besides just cards having different effects than the real versions.
Oh yeah sorry was thinking of borreload. No borrelsword is the generic otk monster pretty much any deck can use to otk with.
patrician taste
>Nugiohfag deflects to Yata
Every time.
It really was that bad though.
Early Yugioh was shit.
Every time I see threads like this I feel sad that there are so many people who screw the rules.
>being retarded enough to cancel his own trap card with a Jinzo
What happened to this game?
Nobody is saying it wasn't. That's why it got banned. Still doesn't excuse Nugioh cancer.
>psychic
how?
L O R E
no but seriously, that's a warrior
Blacklands Fire Dragon.
I really liked how it was the most classical looking dragon in the game.
Centaurs are usually Beast-Warriors actually.
meant Avram
I miss paragraphs so badly.
When will Konami make my boys good?
Why is actual relinquished not as good as in the show?
>that pic
oh yeah thats canon
Because his better self can be used with instant fusion
Just a meme used to summon fucking link-kuriboh
You say that like that is a bad thing
>I hate bad cards
literally every player that started post pends
GO JUNK BERSERKER!!!
My Junk Berserker's effect activates, and your card is sent straight to the grave yard.

My sister isn't an albino with blue-eyes or a dragon.
Nice digits. But
>>it's another "I hate kozmo" thread
You need to update your pasta.
Lithosagym did nothing wrong
Yugioh effects are too complex for a keyword system
The reason Pot is banned is that if it is legal every single deck (including decks that play Light of Sekka (which locks you out of spells and traps that aren't Light of Sekka for the rest of the game) would play Pot. There is LITERALLY no reason to not play Pot.
It is also rather powerful, to the point where opening Pot decides the game most of the time. That's really stupid.
So knowing this you have two options:
>3 Pot
>0 Pot
3 Pot is problematic, because then every deck you play has not 40 cards, not 39, not 37, but 34 cards and you have 3 completely FREE +1s.
That is why the card is banned.
Yes and you pay 0 life if you do.
Vrains era monsters have the best asses. Change my mind.
Master Peace is probably the best monster card in the game individually, yes.
But the strongest one is easily Firewall Dragon, or one of the two cards you used to make with Firewall Dragon (Gumblar Dragon/Rhongo)
Is mecha beast kings still a thing or far too outdated nowadays?
I summon Cyber End Dragon and attack. What are you gonna do?
But it's not, they lost the poll to Shaddoll.
You think you know the power of flipping? YOU KNOW NOTHING!
Duel Links and a new Legacy of the Duelist just came out. Also, YGOPro has been a thing for, what, 8 years?
Linkuriboh eff on cyber end
>implying second place isn't getting support
>Firewall Dragon, Gumblar Dragon, rhongo
How did we survive that era? It was just a year ago.
>It was a year ago
it feels like it lasted for so much longer
No, it's pre-errata Chaos Emperor Dragon.
I dont play the card game. I just play Duel Links and watch the anime, and even then I havent seen anything past Season 1 of 5Ds.
This.
I want to see my link 4 cardfu get animated but I don't think it'll happen
It's honestly not that great.
It was great for its time, but you're not resolving it today.
You think current Danger Chaos ThunDra wouldn't use it to discard your entire hand turn 1 and then end on a Colossus or a negate on top of it? You are delusional.
It's so easily searchable.
It's not that good, I don't think people would play it.
Hand loop 5 + Colossus is honestly not that great of a board.
You're not making a negate on top of it.
The best combo you can do with it is CED -> Send Dark, search Hawk, discard Hawk, summon Dark, make Colossus.
You don't really have ways to make much more.
And honestly, hand loop 5 + Colossus is honestly not as good of a board as what you currently make, you can't even OTK turn 3 with it. CED can be ashed too.
It's too janky and it does too little even if you do pull it off.
>Elpy summons Brotaur, search CED
>make Saryuja, summon Dragondark from the hand
>summon CED, use effect
>Dragondark adds Dragonhawk
>Dragondark summons Dragondawk back
>Colossus
Your turn.
Like I said, this isn't as good as hand looping for 2 + 2 negates and Colossus.
Modern Yugioh wins again
QUICK SOMEBODY POST IT!
My turn.
Don't forget to get your Hot Dogs!
Maybe against Orcust it wouldn't be, but I don't see how Rei or Salamangreats would be able to deal with a Colossus with 0 cards in hand.
With Eclipse Wyvern in the GY, you could time the CED effect with a Wyverburster search on top of the Dark search. You could then add Collapserpent, banish the Wyvern, add Levianeer, summon it, revive something. Now you can end at worst on Heavenly Spheres + Colossus.
I'm not a Danger TD expert (in fact I've never played the deck myself), so I can't really tell without taking a moment to understand the combos work how feasible that would be to pull off, but it doesn't seem too far-fetched.
>facing off against dragon decks
>find a way to get this guy on the field as soon as possible
Wtf is wrong with Nu Yu-Gi-Oh?
Look what you've done. Apologize!
*wins YCS*
To this day I still love this little bastard.
No
big brain move
The reason this combo is bad is that Danger TD wants to win turn 3. You cannot consistently OTK off Colossus + a draw, even if you get the baby Dragon search.
You just just don't do enough damage with that. You get 2 to 3 turns to do things, after it.
Another reason why this is bad is that Danger TD autoloses if you resolve Mystic Mine against it. You NEED a negate, you can't play Danger TD without a negate and you can't consistently make a negate after CED. This is why you would not play it, even it looks like a cool combo and you only need to splash one card.
get fucked
>Playing equips in 2019
It's like you want to lose or something.
I kinda get the xyz summons but not anything after
The most memorable card I got from my first booster pack. Shame I couldn't find it anymore.
It is still great. Ignore Go. Every ygo has an ugly character if not many.
Beyblade was fucking sick.
He's gonna have to fuck me first.
ideally if you ran pre erratta CED you would want to summon it main phase 2 and burn your opponent for game. Danger TD doesn't do that, they want to set up a bunch of negates turn 1 and win that way so at its best pre errata CED would be used as a free level 8 turn 1 for making number 38.
>I havent seen anything past Season 1 of 5Ds.
That does include dark signer arc right?
The only thing worth watching after 5Ds is zexal the rest is either complete garbage or just straight up bkring.
Even as a kid, I never truly understood the appeal of Ultimate. You trade three 3k ATK beatsticks for one 4.5k ATK beatstick, it makes more sense to just keep your beatstick army. All you need is some kind of attack buff to get at least one of your Blue Eyes to 3.5k ATK or above and you have no problems.
Pendulums: Monsters that are also continuous spells. If you want to activate them as spells you have to place them in the pendulum zones, which are the left and rightmost spell/trap zones in MR 4. When pendulum cards are destroyed they go face up to the extra deck (with some exceptions, if they're destroyed before the game recognizes their card type - such as if they're destroyed in the hand or have their summon negated by a solemn). If you have two pendulums on the field as spells then you can once per turn conduct a pendulum summon where you special summon as many monsters from your hand or extra deck as you want, so long as you have enough monster zones of course.
Links: Extra deck monsters that require monsters on the field to be used as material equal to their link rating/arrows. Link monsters count as link material equal to their rating, so for example knightmare phoenix is equal to two blue eyes white dragons in terms of link material. You can summon extra deck monsters to any zone on your field that a link monster points to, so if you want more than one extra deck monster out you need to play links.
So basically,
>Pendulums use their Spell effects when in the Pendulum zone
>If destroyed after played, they go face-up into the extra deck, but otherwise go to the GY
>Two Pendulums enable you to chain summon as much as you want once per turn
Does the last condition include destroyed Pendulum monsters, and are you able to change their position on the field?
So with him being level 2, he is minimum 600 base?
Just trade the pendulum zones with the left and right spell trap zone
I summon Frog the Jam! Attack, my beast, with Liquid Tongue of Doom!
m8, there is no main phase 2 if you are playing Danger TD, if there is ever a main Phase 2 you basically lost already.
If you play Danger TD there are 3 turns.
You make your board turn 1, your opponent fails to break your board turn 2, you OTK turn 3.
That is what you want to do.
Does CED help you with that?
No, it doesn't really.
(pre-errata) CED does two things in modern yugioh:
>break boards
>wipe hands
The first is kinda shit because if you resolve it you also hand loop yourself.
The second puts a hard limit on what you can do after resolving it.
CED just isn't very good.
Yeah, pendulum monsters destroyed through normal methods (not sent to grave or banished) can be resummoned. They are coming from the extra deck though, so they have to be summoned to either the extra monster zone or a zone a link monster points to. As for changing position, not sure what you mean. If you're asking if you can summon them in either attack or defense then yeah, you can do that. If you mean changing it after the summon, then no. You can't change a monster's position the turn it is summoned unless an effect states otherwise.
Yeah, I forgot the monsters you pendulum summon need to have levels between the pendulum scale numbers. So scales of 0 and 13 could summon any monster, while scales of 4 and 5 couldn't summon anything.
Sounds too lewd to be a thing.
But the filename says-
How is VRains? I dropped it around episode 50.
A mess, much like Arc V. Has terrific memes though.
Occasionally entertaining. I only really enjoy watching episodes where Playmaker's dueling. Otherwise, the plot and characters really don't hold themselves up. That being said, season 3's off to an alright start
>m8, there is no main phase 2 if you are playing Danger TD, if there is ever a main Phase 2 you basically lost already.
That was my point, the only thing CED does for TD is provide a free body since the burn effect also wipes your own board
my freind used to play a warrior deck so i used kinetic soldier
The only thing he provides is hand looping the opponent, which sounds good until you remember that you also wipe yourself.
Refer to .
I don’t think you realize that we’re agreeing with each other right now
You recognize that CED is bad, but you call him bad for the wrong reasons.
>These cards that basically created the ban list totally excuse embracing cancer
Nugiohfags, everyone.
>missing the point
Nostalgiafags, everyone
>whats stopping the characters from running around the battlefield and beating the shit out of the other guy?
the monsters that were summoned to protect their masters. Do you even shadow game?
I'll take powercreep, cancer and FTKs over "deckbuilding" where you need to play 25 one off auto-includes any day.
>Implying Nugioh doesn't have its own staples
>Implying archetype specific staple like cards are any different
what does pot of greed do again?
>shadow game
That only works in classic yugioh. Now the characters have actual super powers yet they keep playing childrens carf games instead of going full dragon ball youtu.be
i have a feeling that this is not my picture
Add a hard opt clase or even a once per duel clase, as well as must be activated at the start of mp1 or during mp2 and it will probably only see play at one at release, then they can limit it to one afterwards
I don't think he's worth much, but I pulled 2 of this cool motherfucker in a couple boosters, and I built everything around him. I think that my liking for the concept of spell-breaking knights come from him too.
We already have balanced versions of PoG that people play.
>Add a hard opt clase or even a once per duel clase, as well as must be activated at the start of mp1 or during mp2
That doesn't fucking do anything. The card would still be a must play in every single deck and whoever opens with it starts with a massive advantage over their opponent.
Nothing can stop my METEOR DRAGON!
What memes? I only remember few Mirror Force edits and people making fun of High IQ Go, but the amount of OCs that were made on the threads itself are extremely few. Especially compared to when Arc-V was airing.
I know this makes me a cunt, but I played Final Countdown almost since it's introduction as a card up until I stopped keeping up with Yugioh
I fucking love this card, and I hate letting my opponent have fun
Look up Mystic Mine decks
What will Yusaku do to AI and Roboppi once he defeats them?
based kirika invading threads
This stupid chicken, I can't count how many times some retard didn't fucking read it and decided to either destroy it by effect and it'd come back and nuke the board, even better if I had Nepthys already set up to nuke backrow too. Thanks to True Kings it made pulling off this shit even easier and I even get free banishes of Agnimazud and I can salvage a True King if I get Agnimazud destroyed by effect too.
i don't get it
dude that card is not orange?!?!?
Somebody know something about this card is shiny and look very weird and i don't know nothng about Yugioh
Pretty much all of the starter deck cards you would get in the World Championship series games. This and Sonic Duck were pretty much my power houses until like halfway through the game.
What do I type in to search for meme cards like this?
>sneaky cards & twinks in this thread? Not on my watch
I kind of hate how in the last few years, cards have been introduced that just completely fuck with established rules. Oh, destroying cards on the field takes too much time? No worries, you can destroy cards in your hand, too! Regular banishing not good enough for you? Just activate this effect that banishes FACE-DOWN!
O, MY ABSOLUTE NUKE SYNCHRO.
>you can destroy cards in your hand
Crush Card Virus is a 20 year old card
>banish face-down
Lightforce Sword is a 17 year old card
I send myself to the graveyard and end my turn. Your move, Yugi Boy
Yeah, yeah, and Kuriboh is an old card too. Still not remotely the same as modern hand traps.
The point is that these mechanics existed for a long, long time.
Mechanics are the same, just that they got faster Man Eater Bug's targeting destruction in a vacuum is handy to have, but it's a flip monster and it eats your normal summon. Now a shitton of things can do the same WITHOUT using your normal summon and more. The only things that have changed are the expanding banlist and the master rules in place.
It was changed later to Slime Toad because the Frog line had some special cards attached to it. But the original name is and will always be Frog the Jam!
Oh, so it's part of the Toad archetype then, right?
Dumb Dessfag this is the wrong thread
>Burn half your lifepoints to kill your opponent 20 turns later
What the fuck? What kind of amazing lame-out deck did you have?
>half
user...
Technically yes, but not in spirit. Lightforce Sword or DD Capsule do banish face down, sure, but that just happens to be a quirk of the card rather than something intended as a "super banish".
For me, It's Vampire Vamp.
5´ds was card game kino and the tcg was based during this time. I topped locals with my synchron tech deck every time
So it's not fucking with established rules, it's just taking other established rules farther?
Toad is not an archetype
wish i could tell you, i just saw these on a tg thread and got a chuckle out of them
This is the correct reason. When the only answer to a strategy is to also use that strategy the game degenerates quickly
Barring the fact that it can run over a bewd with buffs by itself, you don't need exactly 3 bewds on the field to summon it. You can use them in your hand, and even use a fusion sub, then reborn a bewd from your grave
>Running trap cards alongside a Jinzo/Royal Decree
No u
I don't think we have too many +1 generic spells.
We're pretty much limited to Desires and Extravagance.
While both of those cards already are fine, there are decks still decks out there that are running combos that can't play either of them and are left without any way of gaining advantage.
I don't think reckless greed effect is the right choice though because you're right, games don't usually give players that many turns these days
Post your favorite Yugioh OST
youtube.com
We play games that focus on our own "meta" with our own "banlist" which we update regularly according to what we currently play at the moment.
This card is limited in said "meta" because i kept abusing the shit out of it.
shit wrong pic. THIS is the one i meant
Gumblar and Rhongo meta didn't happen until after Firewall was already hit though.
We had gouki knightmare and then Firewall FTK before they finally said enough, so people swapped to dark warrior rhongo turbo and Gumbalr loop.
And you're making it exponentially easier for your opponent to take that last one by giving up a large chunk of them early in the game.
ayy lmao
You underestimate my power.
No, you are not, because any deck can OTK thanks to Borrelsword.
What if you need to stop them from summoning a boss monster that will OTK you like as said Borrelsword
Would you rather pay 4000 or just lose?
Or maybe they're playing a trap, so your magic jammer is now useless?
Hell, what if you just don't have a card to discard for magic jammer? The LP cost on judgement isn't fixed, so you can pay 4000 or you can even pay just 1LP if it came down to it. No matter what you can meet cost so long as you're not at 1 or already dead.
Rhongo meta was great, I played Rhongo Madolche
m8, if Solemn Judgment was a handrap and it cost you 90% of your life, people would STILL play 3 of it in nearly every deck.
The big deal about Solemn Judgment is that you can always use it, because it costs HALF your life and not 4000. It is never ever dead.
>turn 1 summon an unaffected by everything unkaijuable boss monster that prevents your opponent from summoning anything with a OPT one-sided complete field wipe attached
No, it fucking wasn't. What the fuck is wrong with you?
Pleb, watch this!
Close.
it wasn't an FTK
How's getting the 5 a close!?
DRAW
MONSTA CADO!
Sure it wasn't, but 2 turns of not being able to play while your opponent hits you with a 3k beater for free if not more considering most boards ended with bardiche as well.
I'd unironically rather face mystic mine burn, because at least mystic mine isn't unaffected by card effects. Ironic considering mystic mine would be a good counter to rhongo
Getting floodgated out of playing the game is shitty too. There are three main types of problem cards: Floodgates, FTKs, and Handrips.
momodou is a nogger
Judai is still the Chaddest the protagonist of them all.
Who?
>game and anime introduces Ritual summons
>only like 2 Ritual Summon archetypes and it's forgotten it ever existed
Why
???
Because both Ritual and Fusion are bad mechanics.
There are plenty of Ritual summon archetypes. It's just that Ritual is so fucking terrible that almost none of them function. Only Nekroz and Gishki particularly stand out.
Cyberse magician and Cyberse Witch are by far my favourite Protaggonist magician couple of them all.
These folks got the right of it.
Both fusion and ritual require a minimum of 3 cards, either in hand or on board, to summon.
What makes ritual wholesale worse in my opinion is the fact that the your investment can actually go up considerably if you don't have a one-card tribute for the summon.
To continue from here, even modern ritual decks still struggle with this a bit, and the only archetypes that can pull through are those that generate strong card advantage or use non-traditional ritual spells for the summon.
Meanwhile in fusion world: Every archetype is getting retrofitted with deck and graveyard fusion cards, making the card investment even cheaper if not giving pluses instead
>having a dad that loves you
Haha fag ;_;
>TCG costs like $300-400 for a decent archetype
>The closest card store and playing field is like 20 miles away
Welp, Duel Links it is.
You can buy super cheap cards in Ebay and shit
Current structure decks are all of $10.00 and are actually competitive. Literally just buy 3 and you have a deck good for locals.
Deck fusion is peak bad mechanic design. They should have dropped fusion a decade ago instead of keep forcing bullshit.
Just play on a dueling sim like YGOPercy or Dawn of a New Era. No shitty gacha mechanics like Duel Links.
>four copies
JUDGE!!
>or Dawn of a New Era
No
Nigger so is this and every other card in existence once you actually sit down and read them
Doesn't have as many cards but way better playerbase.
INTO THE VRAINS!
cute
I wish ygo had pantieshots. All the girls are gorgeous.
>dubfags.
The most expensive thing to get is the side deck most of the time.
Yeah, how about (you) fuck off
>he thinks he can stop it
Childhood.
As a matter of fact, I can.
is that all you got?
Well let's compare monsters.
I have Chaos Sorcerer, with 2300 ATK
And you have a Normal monster with only 200
I win, the duel is over.
When you think about it, you only have to stall for 10 turns because the card still counts down on your turns. In my deck, I could stall for roughly 42 turns as well as negate a lot of effects
I'd also run stuff like this little guy to burn away at my opponents LP before Final Countdown was up, so that sometimes the duel was won before it even reached the big 20
you really think you can win this?
I already have, the duel is over, that's literally what the card Last Turn does, it ends the duel! Even if I didn't win, you wouldn't get another turn.
>Opponent is clearly setting up some massive beat-stick that he's proud to get out
>Play last turn and cuck him out of the chance to do it, even though you'll end up losing anyway
Devilish
what if I did?
Did what? The fucking duel is fucking finished, READ THE FUCKING CARD!
You summoned and that was the last thing you did, you don't get any more turns, and the monster I kept on my side of the field was
it was a nice attempt, but with all 5 cards in play, you lost. It's over.
W A K E U P , E X O D I A T H E F O R B I D D E N O N E !
The duel already ended! IDIOT BASTARD!
don't be a sore loser, you should learn from your mistakes and try better next time :)
I can't be a sore loser, because I won.
And getting all pieces of Exodia on the field isn't what you do in an Exodia deck, so you summoning them meant you couldn't win by Exodia's effect!
Are you shit talking my son?
What if they played Magic?
>And getting all pieces of Exodia on the field isn't what you do in an Exodia deck, so you summoning them meant you couldn't win by Exodia's effect!
This only means that If I put all Exodia cards on the field, I win even more!. It's ok though, you can try beating me once you get the know how the game works.
Hello Yugi
YUUGO
We would get a gender fluid feminist protagonist.
Whats the biggest and shameful thing that had happened to you?
I love big moth but i had never been able to summon it
No, I know how the game works, and what you did isn't how it works.
Also, you didn't actually do it, because the duel ended with only one piece on the field, because Last Turn gets rid of all the cards on the field except for one of the monsters controlled by the person who plays it, and forces the opponent to special summon one monster, and then both monsters fight to determine who wins the duel.
Lots of getting scammed by changing expensive cards I pulled for common classic cards like Joeys dice cards, etc.
They did a poll which would let my favourite series get some support.
They got gyped by some series which was already viable.
Evols were legit the best
post your card-fu before the thread is kill
>literally unlimited
kinda bullshit
And this card works as support AND anti-support for that.
>make a draw oriented deck
>meme hard with more draw power than pot of greed
>its not banned because it requires setup but can still deliver more than pot of greed
konami is fucking retarded
>deliver more than pot of greed
Tell that to youtube.
I can tell you some tricks that involve one trap and one spell if you want.
Why is she so expensive. Can't complain though because I picked the whole core for < $80 and have been winning left and right though.
