Re-Destro´s seem pretty high tier for me, maybe having to stress yourself out most likely has effects on your health, but so far it doesn´t seem to have more drawnbacks.

I really doub that Muscular, Rappa or Sugar-man could achieve this level of strenght by training, so far this is the strongest phisical booster quirk that isn´t OFA.

As strange as it sounds when you consider how many MLA members have died, I seriously think ReDestro is trying his hardest to minimalise civilian casualties. He turns away all people trying to enter the city, and has that whole “nothing is more precious than human life” speech. The only people currently in harms way are those who agreed to be there

It kinda goes to show OFA isn't really overpowered. It's just tons of people training and accumulating said strenght into one host, but it's perfectly possible people like Re Destro are born with city-destroying powers and just match it. OFA is a team effort but not exactly godlike.

And I maintain All Might probably added most of the power to it. Past users might have used the strenght and speed as a crutch combined with their own Quirks, and they probably died young. All Might was the one training beyond his limits like Endeavor.

I'll never understand this meme, DB can be a lot of things but generic isn't one of them. Actually, OG dragon ball was a more generic since it was based on the monkey king and martial arts, but the part that people don't bother defending (Z) has a pretty original story.
While Boku no Hero's guidelines are pretty predictable if you've seen any hero story, dragon ball z keeps shifting tone and hitting you out of nowhere with new plot. We start with an alien coming to Earth to claim Goku is an alien and his brother - gets killed and that's not relevant. Actually most of the cast gets killed and Goku gets put into a hospital. Next arc is a few secondary characters going Metal Gear on Namek to find the dragon balls while the villain Vegeta decides to betray his army and fuck them up. Then androids kill everyone and Piccolo is now relevant except he's not and they also aren't relevant now we gotta save them. And what the hell was up with Buu's arc no one knows.

Compared to that BNHA feels pretty standard. Not gonna say it's completely predictable, I didn't see any arc coming (but I expect a prison break / nomupocalypse) , but in the grand scheme of things the writing is pretty tame.
Only villains kill each other with the exception of Nighteye and Snatch who got introduced just to die. Heroes go on missions. MC is a whimpy kid who gets the ultimate power to fulfill a prophecy of defeating evil, a rivalry that makes no sense since they're heroes but Hori really wants to have one...

It looks like Dad's actions are what got the family killed. Shiggy clearly felt the beginnings of Decay just before Dad came out. If Shig would have been given a chance they might have managed to figure out what was going on and contain it. But Dad started slapping him around instead, and after that Shiggy was in such an extreme emotional state it started coming out fully as he was clutching his dog and sobbing. I imagine once the Corgie disintegrates, Shiggy's going to lose it completely and run to family members for help. Which will start a geometric escalation of terror and shock for the kid, and the end of the family

It's supposed to be, if he activates ANY quirk the guns go off and he dies. I know Horikoshi wants to make the story lighthearted, but the story has reached a point where it can’t do that as much as it used to. The moment All might won against all for one, the story couldn’t be all optimistic as it was in the past. The Yakuza arc tried, there were many bullshit moments in the Yakuza arc. An example can be Midoriya, when he yelled “I’m gonna change the future!” Never cringed so much before in my life. Or Mirio standing up to Chisaki for several minutes, even without a quirk. I refuse to believe Mirio could have hold his ground, against a man that can kill him with just one touch.

I think a lot of people expect too much. I don’t see it getting more dark than Naruto or One Piece. I’m not putting it past Horikoshi, but Hunter X Hunter had a lot of earlier signs of being a dark series, as MHA doesn’t have as many. That doesn’t mean it can’t explore the sick reality of people while still keeping a serious tone, but there’s a difference between keeping a serious tone, and becoming “dark”. People dying isn’t super dark. Cannibalism, Rape, Showing deformed bodies in the utmost grotesque way, child murder etc. is some of the things that make shows like HxH breach that certain darkness. In a sense Eri's arc almost went there, but it's all implied/off screen.

I started to lose interest in the Deku vs Overhaul fight. It just became a matter of Deku getting a bigger number and Overhaul going through more and more transformations to the point where it started to feel like DBZ, and there was that unnecessary shit where Nighteye looked into the future and saw Deku dying for no reason other than to add artificial drama. I don't expect high art from BNHA, but that was the worst garbage I've read in recent memory. The whole thing is also segmented conflict, where each character gets their individual fight with little overlap between each of them, because Hori can't write conflict more complicated than simple fighting.
