I actually think it's Turn A. It gets a lot of flack from people like OP but it's head and shoulders above every other Gundam except 0079, Zeta and some of the OVAs/movies, and it's nowhere near as highly rated as those generally are.
And if not Turn A then ZZ, which isn't nearly as good, but also not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
Wing and everything after Turn A is complete dog shit.
