pretty great for something that actually adheres to physics instead of going pure balls to the walls.

I'm curious if there's anything else out there like it. If there is, please inform me.

One of the best and comfiest manga, but the greatest is pushing it.

People actually enjoyed this from beginning to end? The male MC got annoying and became one dimensional

Best girl

That fucking piece of shit is one of the worst. Origin by Boichi is probably the Best one, followed by gantz and edén its and endless World.

>followed by gantz
>gantz
>good

you can't be serious, user

>Origin
Got really lazy towards the end, started out great though.
>gantz
>gantz

>Gantz
lol. After the obese retarded German woman reading out numbers in bed there was no turning back.

I enjoyed it ergo its good

whats the op

>greatest
Hol up

Hard sci-fi?
Moonlight Mile, Futatsu no Spica or Rocket Girls.
I've heard good things about Uchuu Kyoudai, but I couldn't get past the first chapters.
Also Stratos 4 if you want some moe in your Armageddon.

that's not 2001 nights

I need to reread Planetes and 2001 Nights. I have physical copies of both packed away somewhere.

2001 Nights

>physical copies of both
Oh man I'd love to have those. Though I did buy "TO", the CG DVD OVA of 2 or 3 of the 2001 nights stories. One was the one with the mining ship visiting the space station and the time dilation meaning his mother was younger than he was. The other one was about the pre-ftl seed-ship and its legacy if I recall correctly, though it could have been the temporal-migrating planet, or that war-torn planet with the lake-making colony.
Shoulda done the medusa system and the symbiotic planet, those are my favourites, alongside the original trip to Lucifer of course.

moot pls go

The CG looked so offensive to my eyes I never picked that up. I'm definitely buying those tanks at some point even if it's unreasonably expensive.

Yeah the animation was hardly stellar, but at the time I couldn't find it online and the price was cheap enough. If they're going to do CG they should at least try for a product like Sidonia no Kishi.

Actually on the topic of Planetes, the anime never got to the end of the manga, right? It got a bit surreal there didn't it?

>Rocket Girls
>tfw we still haven't sent lolis into orbit to save weight
>tfw we still don't have skin-tight space activity suits
why even live

>Planetes doesn't adapt everything the manga does but adds filler
But why god why

Yeah, I didn't find the extended third-world "space suit" arc terribly interesting, focussing more on the Von Braun would have been much better. Though the liberty of a manga is that you can read through parts slower or quicker as you see fit, so perhaps I'm misremembering what was extended and what wasn't.
That terrorist arc was good shit though.

anything by Nihei Tsutomu. seriously this guy has the most whack ideas and the skill to bring them across in his work

Even in the future, allahus gonna snackbar

French guy called Gerard du Galle made a music album called Megastructure as a tribute to Blame!

>anything
Yeah I'm enjoying Aposimz more than I expected, especially as it has more of a serious atmosphere than sidonia with interesting characters on all sides, but he's been getting pretty lazy with his colour palette lately.
And if I remember correctly, all his manga are set in the same universe.

Alright this user is based.

appleseed is also good

Phoenix is only partially sci-fi.

>that one story where the widow said that she would repopulate her village after they were killed

i dont see how they could all be in the same verse. i can see biomega and blame being related but its not a solid link, but im reading sidonia right now and earth was shown to be cut in half on that where as in biomega the earth .... well turned in to a sausage

Eden - It's a Endless World!
Battle Angel Alita
Blame!

one of the rare cases where the anime is better

what are some good sci-fi anime shows/movies?
