Nothing wrong in the narrative. On a metanarrative sense however, Hisoka being on the top Tier when the Spiders say they won't go there until they kill him would be a waste of everyone's time and Hisoka just managing to end up as a bodyguard next room to Kurapika by coincidence would be lazy writing.

Plus, the other bodyguards in 1014 were killed before anybody in Kurapika's class got in and now everyone in 1013 is trapped in a parallel dimension, making Veleirante the main suspect of being Silent Majority. Which is a big deal considering the only other suspects who haven't been cleared by their thoughts are Satobi and Mushasho. And Mushasho is no longer part of the plot, so making him SM would also turn that plotline into a huge waste of time.

Late, but Musasho isn't guaranteed to be cleared from the plot. Belerainte killing from the very beginning of the voyage would be really odd, and there's still the matter of the last person hiding their nen with Satobi as incredibly unlikely candidate. Ready for a curveball, but Musasho being the killer and maintaining relevance after his prince is taken out of the picture seems like enough of one.

Was it confirmed that Mushaho would stay in Sale's room? He could have been assigned to Halkenburg or the twins, I think, but I actually haven't thought about this before. He is the captain of the guard, but Sale apparently did want to get rid of him so he probably kept him guarding areas like the queen's area away from him if he was in the room.

That aside, I think it's important to note that while Rihan is better at analyzing nen abilities than a vast majority of people, he's never shown any knack for determining a hidden nen user like Furykov. Rihan, Babimyna, and Furykov are the smartest of the soldiers from what's been seen so far. Rihan parses out the purpose of nen actions, Babimyna is good at rationalizing higher level thought/intent, and Furykov is the best person in the series so far at registering body language, especially with regards to nen(I wouldn't be surprised if Fury and Babi have abilities similar to Rihan that either played into these talents or encouraged their development). Furykov pegged the guy hiding his nen knowledge from his retina, but would he have told Rihan? From what we've seen him and Babi haven't fully shared everything with one another, so it's not out of the question that Fury hasn't told any other guard, especially when he said he'd let Silent Majority keep going on for awhile.

Yushohi could've taken Rihan at his word and left How To Get Away With Murder on Sale, so he wouldn't be testing anyone. Then wouldn't Mushaho stop the ability if this was the case? Possible explanations:
A. As mentioned, Sale likes to keep him out of his business. He could've never had the chance to spot it, especially if it was planted under his fat or something.
B. Can Guards change allegiance if all princes they would serve have been eliminated? If so, he could've let it happen.
C. Machiavellian scheme involving Swinko's hidden nen guards. He spotted it and they faked his death.

We know by inner thoughts that Mushaho is loyal so him letting the prince die wouldn't make sense. Fake death is technically possible but highly unlikely and wouldn't make too much sense for many reasons, and if we're going this way we can find a reason for every piece of info we have to be false and nothing has value anymore. Same for him not being with the prince, possible but not really reasonable and we've never seen him assigned to other princes (plus he can't be assigned to Halkenburg since Swinko Swinko is a lower queen). The way I see it we have two major pieces of evidence in him leaving the lessons and Rihan's words that clear him as a suspect and you're forcing this overly convoluted plot and unnecessary attention on a fodder minor character just to support a dead theory you don't wanna let go of.

Well, I can tell you my experience, if it might help. It was 5 years ago when I was 46. I had read all the philosophy I could get my hands on, but something felt missing, I wasn't getting anymore value from my studies. That is when I decided to go into the mountains with nothing but the full collection of Hunter x Hunter volumes and a laptop with wifi. I sat in one spot and would read the entirety of HxH while BTFOing shonenbabies on Yea Forums in between each volume. On the first day it took me 18 hours and I collapsed from exhaustion, but I persisted. I did this everyday, and two years later I could read all of Hunter x Hunter in under an hour, which just left me more time to BTFO shounenbabies on Yea Forums. When I finally came down from those mountains after 4 fruitful years, I was at long last a Hunterchad.

Everything I said about proficiency at noticing hidden nen users, Sale not wanting Mushaho around, and Furykov noting he would let it be is laid out pretty openly. The needle going unnoticed by Mushaho on Sale, especially when he sits down 24/7 and doesn't like being around Mushaho, is very likely and is more of a showerthought. The other options are way less likely but I figured I'd drop them in there. You're right about Halkenburg though, I wasn't remembering the system correctly so it would have to be the twins and still isn't likely. If it sounds too convoluted, that's probably because it's been a plot element for over 20 chapters in an elaborate mystery arc.

Satobi is basically also cleared. Belereinte? If he's the assassin, there are more answers to be given than if it was just Mushaho; a HA member was partaking in the succession contest from the very beginning and Satobi is a hidden nen user for somewhat contradictory reasons or Mushaho was for apparently zero reasons save serving as a red herring. Sounds about as convoluted, but still within the realm of possibility. Kurapika probably dowses everyone after baptizing them to check if they're the assassin so it should get resolved pretty soon. It's interesting that SM killed Woody first and he's apparently belonging to the 5th queen(but would be very new blood since he's assigned to Woble). The last two surviving guards belonged to Unma and Duazal.
