Is he nobility?
Zoro's bloodline

Reminder that kuina "died" from falling the stairs in a world where people can survive being struck by lighting multiples times
Iva turned Kuina into a man and he just didn't cry during the funeral because boys don't cry.
He probably became Dragon's personal bodyguard or something not related to the goober commander patrol of Sabo.
But why would her father lie about that?
You mean, just like in our world?

I don't think thath happened in the span of less than a day
It was at the beginning of One Piece when the story had much more plain fantasy elements and "realistic" situations, so I can buy it. However I wouldn't be surprised if Oda decides to bring her back and reveal that she never actually died.
>tfw you're a girl
>you're actually the strongest young in a fucking sword dojo
>beating the shitty green-haired arrogant kid thousands of times
>even beat adults
>then you wake up one morning, go downstairs as usual
>oh shit you fell
>you're dead
Bullshit
He is the son of the unrevealed Scabbard, Denjiro.
This is actor Okochi Denjiro as his most famous role Tange Sazen.
Also of note, Okochi not in costume looks a lot like Koushirou so I think Koushirou is Den's brother who escaped Wano and took baby Zoro with him after it fell.
So he isn't royalty. However his son will be.
She killed herself come on
Oda hates women confirmed
Her character was a plot device, no matter how absurd her death looks. She is what motivated Zoro to become the stronger swordsman, that's what her role was and why her death was necessary for Oda. Same could be said for other flashback characters. Kuina just died in a silly way, many people find it hard to accept it that it's true.
user, you might be onto something.
Clearly stairs are a vicious monster that prey upon unsuspecting young girls.
But why did Oda make Tashigi look like a carbon copy of her?
I suspect Kuina is Tashigi, and she was just sent to the dojo to train as was later recovered. I think she's some elite Marine's daughter. Garp had Luffy and Ace raised by mountain bandits so they would grow up strong.. it's the same case for her and this is a regular custom for some Elite Marines.
But how come she doesn't recognize Zoro?
Brainwashing of some kind, maybe. That would also explain why her skills diminished. I just don't think she's dead and that's the best explanation I can think of.
Literally how shit works IRL
most free solo climbers die on easy stuff they've done hundreds of times rather than when they push their limits
Ok...
Isn't Im implied to have memory powers? Could explain Kuina's raw natural talent and provide a big twist at the endgame.
you know... it sounds plausible and this way Zoro would not be the direct son of some bigshot, 'only' related, yet with no actual and emotional ties to Wano. It would be a great balance and not making his suspected relation to Wano forced
Zoro D Zorros
Whoa so thats his full name
This is Zoro's dad, he sent zoro away so he doesn't get killed by kaido
Screencap this
Screencapped
Thank you
That's his adoptive father. Zoro was saved in a village in East Blue by him, brought to Wano and then sent back to East Blue.
We all know that Kuina's father knew of Zoro's bloodline which is why he raised him so carefully. He killed his own daughter to set Zoro on his path.
kek
It was the work of the Stairs Stairs Fruit Assassin.
this has already been debunked in vivre card
>noble
>brown island mutt
that being said I think Zoro being from Wano originally is a fun theory. It would be the ultimate development of his lack of directional sense, like he gets in a rowboat ship to fishing one day and some how ends up in east blue, and because he's stupid he never even realized it. It'd be a fun twist, but not very likely-gozaru.
That's only normal for the grand line
The real question is how this old fuck got Kitetsu I and how it's going to end up in Shiliew's hands for Kitetsu Bowl
I'm pretty sure Kuina is still alive just like Sabo, the whole "died from falling stairs" was a lie to keep her away from Zoro back then, now what I want to know is if Kuina is really Tashigi or if she will be revealed as a brand new character later on the story.
so how is kyoshiro related? zoro's cousin?
Holy shit. Reading OP is like observing real life.
Yeah I can't wait for Zoro to secretly be an elite noble warrior that was bred for swordsmanship for generations. And I'm sure Robin is actually half celestial dragon, and Franky was a direct descendant of the legendary shipbuilders who actually designed Pluton, and Chopper is a lost member of the most powerful reindeer tribe that located and conquered Raftel centuries ago.
Ah, so she became Hack. I see
He literally just fucking said it. He's his uncle.
Unique hair color is not uncommonly an indicator of genetic lineage in One Piece.
And Ryuma obviously has green hair.
I don't necessarily think this lineage will ever actually come up, but it seems implicit.
You're missing the point. Forcing a chosen one prophecy or some special lineage bullshit on an already established character who has never needed it and does not benefit from it is retarded. I'm tired of shonen pulling this same dumb fucking "twist" that cheapens the story and characters. Oda would be undermining literally decades of work if he goes too far with this hammy garbage. Funny enough it was one of the biggest reasons Naruto and Bleach's narratives went to shit.
She lost her will to live. That's the only thing that kills you in OP. That and being shot.
so kuina didn't die?
Zoro being from samurai lineage actually makes sense in the story though. Roger had Oden as an ally, and Wano is a big part of the story.
And it's not like he's royalty, he's likely the kid of one of 9 elite warriors.
Do people seriously think Oda is going to write a second tragic backstory for Zoro out of nowhere when he already has an established one? It's unprecedented.
That's the entire point of the story though. She didn't die in battle or through some epic sacrifice. She just died in a stupid freak accident with no meaning.
That's what makes it sad.
