It's a pretty low-tension isekai. Slightly calmer than, say, Isekai Maou, and maybe about the level of Slime. It's rather fun, and I think the staff have picked up on that aspect to an extent as well, in spite of their very low budget.

I hope the mum isekai will be fun too.

But it holds the promise of everyone involved knowing full well that the main characters are absurdly overpowered. One of the most obnoxious things in these types of shows is if the OP characters act as if they are even remotely on a level playing field.

govt is trying to reconcile parenting issues by having kids and their parents adventure together in hopes they can repair their relationships. several parents don't show up because of business emergencies or needing to leave because of them and infrequently show up. MC's mom is a stay-at-home wife which is why she's around 24/7

Lots of cities are built straddling major rivers though, my own hometown is one. Typically what happens is people traveling to the city from the other side of the river start coming in enough numbers that a small settlement builds up there so they have a place to wait for the ferries, eventually a bridge gets built, and the settlement becomes an outer neighborhood, then eventually swallowed up into the city proper as it expands.
