Anime fight

>Internal monologue
You need it to add drama and also help the audience understand the circumstances of the fight. Any series that has fights without internal monologues are badly done.

>Any series that has fights without internal monologues are badly done.
Yeah. Any series that doesn't need to fill out screentime with characters saying what we already see and doesn't let things up to the viewer's interpretation is pretty shit.
>enemy brags about his strength
>MC shoots him dead
good
I know this is manga but take this example The audience can't see Hizu turning phone pole into Styrofoam so if we weren't told that, most people would wonder how Saike was able to punch concrete all of a sudden. Shounen fights need explanations for the same reason detective series need summations. Also, it's satisfying for fans to hear the explanation that they guessed right and all part of the fun.
>What's that, you're enjoying the climactic battle with the villain? Time to bring the pacing to a halt to flashback to a scene from 10 fucking minutes ago.
>There are three possible scenarios:
What’s wrong with this?

you can't bump your own thread on /pol/, retard
Yeah it's fucking stupid. You don't start thinking about numbers in a battle. Like in arm wrestling, once you start pulling you aren't thinking about how this guy can pick 100 lbs off the ground with his side pressure or whatever, you're laser focused on finding any possible advantage in leverage and position. In a real no holds barred fight it'd be even more pronounced how little thought is spent on such things.
>Anime fight
Name 3 anime that don't do this.
It does have some historical basis.
Samurai for instance would seek a worthy opponent to challenge, so power levels were a thing of sorts.
It's also a bit of a trope martial artists announce their fighting style or moves, which is overly common in Chinese kung fu movies. This also includes some consideration of strength and ability, and in part serves the purpose of avoiding casualties or injury.
You acknowledge the other guy has a higher power level and submit.
Of course none of this makes it any less cringy in anime 99% of the time.

It's true for close ranged melee fighters sure, but what about the ones who keep their distance and analyze their opponents?
>anime fight
>characters stop and start explaining how their power works with dumb animation analogies to represent it
Are Japanese kids really this fucking stupid? All it does is pad time and condescend, then again I don't watch anime with that shit anymore because they're SHIT.

Fights in shounen series are like murder mysteries in detective shows. Why doesn't anyone ever complain about the detective analyzing evidence or summing up the crime?

I'm fine with people explaining their powers, what really annoys me is when they explain everything that happens.
I don't need someone to tell me that the bad guy punched the good guy, I saw it happen.

What's really bad is
> fufufu I'm the big bad evil villain
> I am practically invincible unless you know my one weakness
> allow me to explain my one weakness in detail so you can defeat me
> NANI!? THE MAIN CHARACTER EXPLOITED MY ONE WEAKNESS! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
