Outdated animation with a cool stoic protagonist

So you know those old chinese movies where it's a really awkward cheesy scene of guys in the air screaming for like 3 minutes followed by impact like that plus the animation is wonky where they don't even touch each other some times but he hits and then the protoganists personality (Terminator-Badlands). Goes around kicking ass while tanking everything.

Oh plus they'll stare at each other forever. Some times the episode mostly all of em I'm not gonna kid they're just looking at each other..... Like cowboy sundown stare for 4 minutes.

Any moderately violent scene being just a silhouette with white blood.

Read the manga instead; I dropped the anime a few episodes in while I binged the manga and loved it

a bunch of fillers because Toei, some recap episodes, and some legitimately fun times as well.

A stoic badass who can be surprisingly moved emotionally travels post-apocalyptic Mad Max China and tries to help others stay alive and maintain hope despite his own issues. Kenshiro destroys most mooks but it's often entertaining regardless, and the story really picks up when key characters are introduced.

The anime extends the first arc to over 20 episodes when it was only 10 chapters in the manga. You might get a better sense for what the pacing and themes are supposed to be like if you read the first two arcs of the manga before watching the anime.
