Probably since Akiza was literally turned into a cheer leader and the Arcadia movement was brushed under the rug. People argue over the Carly thing ruining 5Ds others say its fake while many say it ruined 5Ds but Carlys VA was in a cult and in turn 5Ds had to remove a lot of the cult-like things it had (dark signers,arcadia movement)

The cult scandal happened while 5D's had already been well into its narrative and genre shift. The sci-fi transition had been planned long in advance.

Yugioh is about one very rich man's autistic dedication to a card game combined endless ambition eventually reshaping all of society to revolve around this card game. To the point where there are entire private schools dedicated to teaching it, gang violence is replaced with it, and the police use it to catch criminals. Honestly the fact that someone decided it would be cool to play card games while riding on custom made motorcycles is one of the least weird aspects of the series

You're looking at the score as "songs." Functionally though, the point of all this is to convey an atmosphere and mood to help better drive the narrative. These two OSTs are doing almost exactly the same thing. It's not something like a Faulconer Production v Kikuchi score type of situation, where they were completely tonally different.

The only real thematic statement in the dub scene was for Yusei's move, so yeah, in that sense, that's a notable difference. The dub reframed it to the protagonist's perspective as opposed to the antagonist of the situation.
