Akane was supposed to be Hajime's rival originally. As Nagito got more developed, he took over the role she was intended to have.

Makoto is praised because he is exceptional, going above the norm, and that's what matters. The rest, or at least most of them, act as one would expect in that position. Nobody's going to praise them, but it's easy to talk shit when you're not in that position. That's why we, as humans, are sympathetic creatures who understand that not everything is black and white and nobody is perfect. Stop dealing in absolutes. Because not even the legal system does.

Not that user, but don't fall for this. Junko isn't insane. At her core, she's just like Izuru. Ultimate Analysis allows them, or rather forces them to act like machines because they understand everything around them much too easily. Hence "how boring".

Unlike Izuru, Junko's just a tryhard desperately seeking something to get off to and she thinks that's despair. Play her scenes and there are many instances where you get a show of her true nature and she's hollow underneath. Kodaka even says he just wanted to create a pure villain, without any backstory and such to try to detract from that status.

I can think of a handful but no, the fanbase indulges too much in making characters into dindus or ship-material. Even the only good 'Akamatsu Lives' fanfic/Trade mY Life For Yours did it, although only in a separate epilogue piece. Also too many people take characters' first statements at face-value (Junko/Mukuro being homeless) or ignore relationships that get in the way of their ships i.e. Mondo and Leon being friends pre-Killing Game instead of with Ishimaru, Sayaka being the girl Naegi hanged out with, and Matsuda being into Junko even with her despair-side. If they can't be made into soft-bois or parodies of LGBT+, the fanbase isn't interested.

There was this one fic where Natsumi is Ultimate Yakuza and was pretty kino. No ship-shit beyond what wasn't canon already.

Shuichi, realizing this is going to lead the group in the wrong way, says the impact would've been instantly fatal. Maki, who in the investigation said the impaled target would have some time left alive and Tenko kept still and silent slowly through her own will for the ceremony, 100% just lies with you about it. Kokichi gets upset because he can smell it's a lie but has no way to prove it wrong when two people go with it.

Pretty sure Tenko kept still and silent because the blade pierced her throat and she was bleeding out fast.

I think Maki is alright but my favorite backroute is the one in Chapter 5 where you corner her so hard that her only rebuttal is basically "no u".

She felt more... dynamic than Chiaki and Kyoko. Partially because of how much they kinda went to "Tell them, Naegi/Hajime." and Maki was more active and even fought you at times.

One of my favorite parts about V3 was finally getting to play as the go-to investigation buddy instead of following one around for almost the entire game. It was also nice that every single chapter had someone different taking the Watson role instead of you having to follow the same Sherlock every chapter like in the past two games.
