Putting too many flashy effects and too much very unnatural animation (off-model and weird limb movements usually) on scenes, to try and make them seem more "epic".
I too used to think the term was a stupid meme term, but then you'll see some actual example of it, and you think it looks stupid as fuck, and is clearly pandering to 12 year olds.
