Why is the 5k years old Queen acting like a careless kid when crossing the street? Was she even really in danger.
The reason for the rules about soul crystals seem like they have no reason to be kept hidden.
Considering she's the one who made the rules of a society built around killing humans she's oddly not racist and "he saved me" would seem like a weak reason to make an exception. Also doesn't address the idea that there could be a bunch of other witches in the same state of grief as Rurumo since the system is not criticized.
Resurrection as a reward or anything that doesn't have any price or downside is fucked in any context.
I liked the OVA but that was pretty stupid. Until right before the trial I was sure they were going for the sad ending. I'd have been more ok with an happy end that went for the artificial body route instead.
