Its too early to use bd sales numbers. It will flop, however, you can just look at twitter and pixiv to see that no one is watching it and that the first episode got mixed reviews. To be honest, even before episode 1 aired, the 10 minute preview got no attention whatsoever, which probably was a strong sign it was going to flop. Not sure what to think of this first episode I watched on a whim because Mangatsu's design reminded me of Houkaho no Pleiades and that made me smile .

It's nice to see a magic + mecha show. I have thought for a long time that this is very underutilized combination. I can count the series I'm aware of on one hand and I believe it has a tremendous amount of potential. However this show played out like almost any first episode of a mecha anime so that's a little disappointing.

Guess I'll stick witch it for a while, I don't know.

I think it just wanted to show what it would be about, and the next episode will be purely exposition.
I think a 3 episode rule will be good for people on the fence for this.

As far as I am concerned this show is isekai shit. It just pretends to not be. The constant screaming didn't make it any better and the horrendous acoustics were genuinely jarring. I doubt I'll drop it, since it at least wasn't boring, so even if it turns into a dumpster fire it has a higher staying power than Kanata no Astra.

However, I don't see how anyone could possibly consider this a good first episode or be hyped to see how this show progresses. The only reason the episode wasn't sleep inducingly boring was because a bunch of aspects were so bad they unintentionally gave you reason to laugh.

This is literally episode 1 of YuYuYu.
But I think the base requirement for an alternative dimension counting as isekai would be it being a full-scale world with full-time residents. The dimensions they enter in Granbelm, YuYuYu, Madoka and the like are just magical barriers used as temporary battle arenas.
