expensive blurays and 2011 earthquake

Nobody except really weird people understood it.

Something something overpriced DVDs yadda yadda writers didn't properly translate the 4koma formate to TV anime unlike Azumanga.

forced animation and overpriced BDs

$40 per episode 2cour series

Forced humor

Extremely low quality, trolling outside of Yea Forums, and spamming

Unfunny shit

Dishonest animation.

Forced animation

Not enough Sakamoto

Too much Sakamoto

Kadokawa

No fanservice

Kyoani

Tadaima

kyoani

This. Oh fuck this.

I bingewatched half of the first episode, when does it get good?

Sorry...

Yuuko's legs are lewd enough already.

Because it was too good for this world.

>bingewatched half of the first episode

Honestly took me till the end of the second epsiode to start liking it. That chase scene about the homework with the BL drawing was so good

Unfunny shit and dishonest animation

People just weren't ready for something so perfect. Maybe they will never be ready.

I bingeread quarter of your post, when does it get good?

They adapted the 4koma format a bit too literally, so it came across as a disjointed collection of sketches rather than a coherent show. Plus the DVD prices didn't help.

You think that's funny, but wait untill you'll get a severe attention deficit disorder and then get unable to watch one episode without pausing it 20 times to do something else.

And it's surrealist as fuck. Kyoani can't do surrealism.

The girls don't fart, burp and piss out in the open.

Nichijou was a pioneering anime, really. Before it when KyoAni made something people expected a hit; now they barely care at all and Nichijou was a big part of making that possible

>tfw have actual ADHD and can't watch anime without pausing to shitpost every few minutes

well japan is a lot into scat porn, so shit taste

Because they did care more about substance over looks
Since then, never again

IIRC it had around 300K viewers per episode back when it was streamed on Niconico and nowadays its MADs and clip collections of have millions of views. If Nichijou wasn't actually popular in Japan, TMA wouldn't have picked them as their target.

People also tend to forget it aired in 2011 (picture related) and that gag anime don't tend to sell that well.

>forced animation
Excuse me, what?

First day here?

dishonest time native animation

/thread

Because it's not funny.

it's an scene that had unwarranted attention and budget put into it even though simpler animation could get the point across better. nichijou was full of those scenes.

Unfunny shit.
New season of Asobi Asobased when?

Aren't all BDs grossly overpriced?

such as?

Things like Yuuko hurting herself with a pencil, I guess.

But they were 2 seasons, when some show did only ever had 1. It did not flop at all.

This forced-animation ridden forcedly remembered time flop of a show is an absolute unbased anti-kino

Are people really complaining about shows having good animation now?

Unfunny garbage
Why Yea Forums fell in love with it is something I will never understand

Because it was about as fynny as some fat fuck walking up on a stage, shitting himself and waiting for the audience to laugh.

Only the very special people are amused by this autismal shit.

>Because it was about as fynny as some fat fuck walking up on a stage, shitting himself and waiting for the audience to laugh.
i'd unironically laugh at that

The fat fuck's hopeful face as he waits for the laughter to come in after his literal shitshow would probably be funny, yeah.

>The fat fuck's hopeful face as he waits for the laughter to come in after his literal shitshow would probably be funny, yeah.

Well that's why i giggled a time or two watching Nichijou.

This. Desperately downloaded it at 1080p and calmed my mind and entered flow and gamma frequency modes before watching it. Turned out to be shit.

>this Nichijou show is shit and unfunny

>MYA-NEE LMAO

not enough lewd yuuko

>exaggerated scenes for the point of joke is forced animation

>no one cares about how (Gosick) flopped because NOT KYOANI

Why are you Kyoani fans so fucking thin-skinned? You're the New York Yankees fans of anime. "MUH 27 RINGS" (never mind that 3/4 of those rings were before the playoff era) is the equivalent of "REMEMBER HARUHI AND K-ON" (never mind that they're now cutoff from those revenue supplies, which are now over a decade past).

like this is a normal thing people do, its a condition not something the creators should base there show around.

Hey don't get angry at me man, I'm just posting the infograph.

>GOSICK cost over 100,000 yen to buy the complete series
What in the actual fuck is wrong with anime prices?

Nah, the anus cult's equivalent of "MUH 27 RINGS" is "GODani AREN'T SLAVES TO KUSOKAWA, ANTICHRISTPLEX, AND OTHER EEBUL PUBLISHERS"

Piracy is built into the culture.

But nobody in Japan pirates.

forced animation is literally the joke you fucking retards

false term used by fags here who actually think they have any standing to criticize shows as if they were an legitimate reviewer

Japs had good taste for once

desuarchive.org/a/search/text/"forced animation"/page/200/
Frequently used to describe kyoanis style of substantless animation on Yea Forums for the past decade.
Usually they add effects that take up an animators time and effort which makes the scene worse due to poor leadership and direction.
Philosophy of "more is better" without any deeper thought behind it.
Like if you gave a retard 200mil to make a bridge while 20 mil would be enough for a talented engineer.

its when a studio spends 90% of its budget animating a character picking up some garbage and then drops them ball for actual scenes that require animation.

This but unironically
