Versace as final boss manifesting an even more horrifying stand would have saved the entire ending. Part 6 didn't need to have a reason for Giorno to get involved, but it would have made it so much better. SO is great even without the "confirmed sequel to VA" ending I would have liked. Araki shouldn't have teased the idea that Giorno might be fucking around in Florida doing mafia stuff.

I don't understand how you can maintain interest in JoJo for long enough to make it to Part 6. It's a good manga, but it's not good enough to go as indefinitely as it does.

Part 6's problem is the paneling. Half way through, Araki started to really experiment with new ways to lay out the panels - and it was a mess.

If you can make it through the first 20 episodes of part 3 or the first half of part 4 you can stomach any of the newer JoJo slogs.
I will admit though that some parts of part 7 actually dragged

I've always liked part 6 but it kind of felt like it had the least amount of characters I cared about on the "good" side. I was in it more for Pucci and Dio's sons towards the end of it.

Not lame, but I do hate how King Crimson's ability isn't done justice. Sure every character says that Diavolo is powerful, but really I was never sold on that idea. Because it seems like a down grade to The World by how it's presented. And it shouldn't be because King Crimson's ability is to see something he doesn't like and say "fuck no", and avoid it. "Time erase" ability is ultimately the issue, it's too confusingly shown when it is straight forward. If there is one thing I don't like from the Anime, it's how King Crimson's ability activation feels like just a reskin of the World, and people just assume that Diavolo has time stop powers that's just has no stealth aspect to it. Diavolo should be more stronger than the World just because King Crimson is literally a plot armor before GER.

Giorno loses and Versace with whatever stand ability Dio's prophecy gave him just barely scrapes by and is weakened allowing Jolyne to get Giorno's disc and insert it into her face which causes the two stands to fuse and be just enough to end an injured evil Dioson or maybe MiH happens from this point the same way it did in the real version except it's Versace using it and they are fighting at the top of a sky scraper in the rain. Events play out in a similar manner except the location is different and more dangerous as the building starts rapidly aging and falling apart near the end of the world's life cycle.

3 was good on first viewing but there's no desire for a rewatch. That makes it the worst by default. I can even view 1 again and not get bored.

That's because you're correct. There isn't a single bad JoJo part, all parts have way more good to offer than flaws. SO is underrated as fuck, it has its low points but its highs are some of the best of the series up till that point.

But he's still entirely his own character, and better yet, he's the most active villain in the series. Every time he shows up he owns the stage and his ruthlessness in pursuing his goal was always fun. He's the first villain since Dio in part 1 to actually show up so early and continue to have presence until the end.

But the ending is arguably the best part and one of the best moments in the entire series. It's the perfect embodiment of why JoJo is a classic and why it stands out no matter what year it's adapted in, Araki's storytelling conventions and the way he wraps things up in his own style is done perfectly with part 6. He could've easily made another generic hero-wins-all-is-good ending but the more somber ending of part 6 is easily one of the series' most iconic and memorable moments.

No jojo parts are bad, anyone who actually reads the series out of enjoyment instead of reading it out of irony would know that. SO slogged a bit through the middle but it arguably has one of the strongest final thirds out of every part in the series. Not really at all though. Versace is a cool dude of course, but Pucci easily shined as the best character of the part. Everything from his personality to his means of manipulating people into following him to just how ballsy he is and how it manages to pay off as if he's gifted with that Joestar-luck.
I'm personally fully content with all the Brando kids in part 6. Ungalo was a rat-bastard with a depressing life which fit since he got the Dario Brando genes, Rykiel was genuinely a great character and his development from a whimp into an honorable fighter would've made Jonathan proud. Versace has the best music reference in the entire part, a sick-ass ability, a cool design and a really memorable personality like his Dad.

I also saw one response criticize the story regarding the characters, and I don't know. For Bruno and Narancia, it felt more like they were expanding on why they made the choices they made in Part 5 (I won't discuss the illusion sequence since Fugo points out these are far from the same people he knew), Abbachio I didn't really notice much about him, this could be because I listened to it and didn't look at it as critically as I would have had I read it.
Giorno's character I feel like was given insight and added to. I like the explanation for how he got control of Passione, his talk with Fugo does feel like we're talking to a different character at times, but when Fugo thinks about Giorno throughout the novel, and rationalizing why the gang thought about him the way they did, talking about his charisma and all that, I feel that really adds a lot, as I've seen some people question why Bruno's gang would listen to a recruit they knew for only slightly longer than Trish.
And the fight where Fugo launched himself into the air with Purple Haze was great. Also, All Along the Watchtower is best PHF stand, and I will always accept this novel as the canon epilogue in my heart.

As someone who hated SO (only JJBA I rank below average), I still think Jailhouse Lock is one of the more interesting encounters in the entire JoJo series.
Lot of really neat stuff before they left the prison, hidden amongst shit like DD and Meteorfag.

Nah SO is good, Westwood, Weather Report vs Pucci, C-Moon, Jail House Lock, and everyone vs Made In Heaven are some of my favorite fights in the series.

I don't hate it. I like it less than every other part and I only really dislike it when it's praised by normalfags and reddit as the single best Jojo part ever at the expense of shitting on other parts, especially Phantom Blood.

I don't like Young Joseph and I think he's more of a collection of catchphrases than an actual character, and I hate that he hogs every battle to himself.
It has the worst supporting cast in Jojo with only Stroheim really standing out.
The art style is ugly at first and it doesn't really get better (unlike Phantom Blood which was fucking abysmal at first until the shift halfway through)
And The Pillar Men are really, really cool characters conceptually, but they are throughly wasted, with only Whammu getting some proper spotlight.

The Battle Tendency anime is gorgeous and kicks ass in presentation and soundtrack, that's indisputable and that's what brings me back to it.
But overall Part 2 just leaves me cold and dissappointed the more I think about it on it's own, as a manga, as a story.

Hell I still think the Battle Tendency albums are the best soundtrack of the series and pretty much the quintessential music of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure as a whole.
Presentation and style are like 60% of what makes Jojo and the Battle Tendency anime delivered super fucking hard on that.

But it's also part of why I really can't stomach reading the Battle Tendency manga, where as every part I usually go to the manga when revisiting it.

Jobin doesn't care about anyone or anything. His wife and kid could die and he would just shrug it off and keep being a psycho.

I don't think many people disagree that it's handled better in JJL, not to say it's handled poorly in SBR, but people generally seem a lot more taken with things like Kira being a mix of Kira and Jotaro than they are with the kinds of references in SBR.

Almost everything he does is for Tsurugi's sake, though.

Yeah I agree. I like that JJL doesn't really do straight up counterparts to previous characters but rather bits and pieces here and there.
In a way I like to think that JoJolion is to Part 8 what The Return was to Twin Peaks, where it takes the basic iconography and characters of the setting but, rather than play it for nostalgia and the charm of the old series, it fractures their identities and places them in a bleaker, more modern setting that calls reality into question and puts a different spin on the people you think you knew.

In some aspects, maybe, but the core of what drives them seems to be opposite.
Dio's ambition is to be the best by any means necessary. He is driven by a purely selfish desire to be number one no matter who he has to crush, and he takes pride in being "evil", because evil is what got him far in life. Everything Dio does, even his interactions with Pucci, revolves purely around himself and his end goals.

Jobin's ambitions seem to stern from what he perceives as natural necessity. He had it ingrained in him by Kaato's words and he believes that he has to gain power and rise up in life because it's a sink-or-swim world and he has to protect his family. So far, everything we've seen shows Jobin's ambitions are for the sake of his family, whether it's uplifting the sinking family business or saving his son from a deadly curse. We'll see how genuine this desire is, but given how Araki developed Pucci and Valentine (characters who have an indisputable certainty that they are in the right and their actions are good and just even if they are deluded, rotten hypocrites), it seems Jobin will follow suit.

He could have awakened the ability to do the same thing except on a global scale and they wouldn't just be memories but physical manifestations of those memories.

I want the last villain to have a gimmick where he's essentially two souls in the same body. So physically his appearance doesn't change, but his personality and stand ability changes. It would be a great mindfuck why one guy has two stands before its revealed.

And you wouldn't have to be buried under the ground to be fucked with. They come out of the ground and stand on your level. He could have an army of fully armored 13th century knights fighting you if he really wanted to.

Those memories would be just like whatever he summoned, even Jonathan Joestar in his prime because the ground has a memory of him at that time. He would be able to summon literally anybody he could think of in any state they were in before they did and they would be out and about permanently, at least until Versace managed to die. His stand would also now gain a bit of physical strength as well, allowing him to use it for basic attacks while he's conjuring up platoons of Vietnam War soldiers that are shooting at you.

SC it's easily as "good" or decent as DIU, both have issues (manga/anime) in their own way, but they're entertaining flicks.

PB it's average but the characters are full of charisma and the climax is decent, BT it's literally PB but actually good, despite how comedic or BS the writting seems in comparison.

VA has nice designs but garbage development and exposition, not to mention both the MC and the villain are worse than either jonathan or kars. Araki should've never made JoJo into a serious thing, the amount of inconsistencies don't help either.

Stone Ocean was the 2nd attempt of Araki of making a serious Jojo, but now with actual character transition and learning, and the climax it's fucking sweet. (if you actually understood what happened)

SBR it's peak jojo, best climax out of the 8 parts, (though gyro is better than johnny) pretty much every relevant character has some hits.

Jojolion it's less ambitious, bizarre, slower part than SBR, as how it is right now, i don't think it'll be even as decent as SBR.

Part 1 is the worst one, followed by part 3. Part 1 has the worst characters, the whole middle section is kinda boring and when I look at the future parts and look back to part 1, it just feels like something is missing, it feels like Araki was less creative when making this part. Part 3 also has its fair share of problems like the awful fart jokes and the stand of the week format that it uses for way too long.

All the other parts (at least until part 7) are at least 8/10

Requiem stands only occur if the stand is pierced by the arrow. If the physical body of the person is hit, it either gives them a stand or enhances one they already have.
