Zorofag here, there is a lot of confusion about this particular panel, so I'm about to give my thoughts on what is happening. To understand the underlying motions, we have to look at 2 important details in the panel, Zoro's hand, and the building itself.

The Wrist: The action lines on the hand are very clearly coming from the left, implying that the movement of the arm is from left to right. His weapon being on his left hand, dictates that the movement being performed should be a clockwise spin from his standing postion.
The Building: The building is being blown away to pieces, but looking carefully we can observe it is being torn from the INSIDE to the OUTSIDE, that is, it shows an outwards destructive pattern. For this to happen, Zoro's shockwave must have come from below, collisioning with the ceiling. Since Zoro is using his left hand, the only proper movement here is, once again, from the left to the right, following a clockwise spin.

Overall, it is clearly obvious that Zoro's slash must have been a down to top, left to right shockwave leading into a 180º giration.

Well Oda had some little stories here and there for Usopp to learn more about him as time went on but he kept cutting them out due to time restraints. So while convenient it would felt natural and organic when they meet again. Its a good thing Usopp developed well and got a good updated look because he'd have a pretty weak character arc of "being a man to prove to his dad" and we barely know a thing about him with over 1000 chapters.

I feel like I was way more disappointed in Burgess getting wrecked by Sabo than I should've been.

I don't recall it being that black and white (been a good while ago since I read the arc though) His dad told him to trust the king but it felt like the portrayal was pretty balanced and without the added perspective, Cobra did look like the bad guy. IMO the focus was more on how the rebells got played due the set up, not how they were wrong not to trust their king. A lot focus was on the scene when both sides kept fighting, so more about mindless violence and so on.

It's super good so far, but I'm kind of bothered by the way the chick fights have been handled. It feels like Oda's too afraid to actually draw girls fighting - Nami's two fights so far have been her running from her opponent's dumb gimmick until she figures out something with the climatact, and Robin's fight was basically a curbstomp.

It feels like they could easily have proper scuffles like the monster trio if Oda just went against his dumb gender values and let Nami get scuffed a little. Does this change later, or should I not get my hopes up?
