It was the personality of the white zetsu named Tobi. Why wouldn't Nagato take him seriously? He thought it was Madara. Plus the anime makes him a lot wackier than the manga. In the manga he's silly around Deidara, around the others he's just disrespectful which is no different than members like Hidan.

His mannerism and fight style was wacky as fuck against team 7 when only Zetsu was around. He could've acted playful and aloof as he did before/during Kage summit, not going full kid. Shit just doesn't mix well with his character.

He let Zetsu do the talking until it was time to take the stage and fuck shit up.

I dont think anyone liked Madara just being tossed aside after 7 years of build up.

It should've ended with Madara and save all the alien shit for Boruto. Madara and Hagoromo had already hinted at Kaguya, there was no need to shoehorn her into making an appearance, it made it feel rushed. They could've done a proper introduction, buildup, and resolution in Boruto.
However I think that Nagato -> Obito -> Madara was great. Each one built on the last. Nagato identified a core problem with the world, and produced a solution under the base assumption that the world can't be fundamentally changed. His best solution was everyone nuke each other and experience enough pain that it forces them to stop fighting for awhile. But he fully acknowledged they would forget and the nuking would need to happen repeatedly. Obito builds on this, because although he identifies the same core problem with the world, he refuses to accept it. Classic is-ought problem in philosophy. Nagato sees the world is a certain way and accepts that it ought to be that way. Obito sees that the world is shit but rejects it. Like Hashirama, he wanted to remake the world (different plans, but still). Nagato wanted a world where people felt pain, Obito wanted one where pain was erased. Madara builds on that yet still, because he sees the world is shit, knows it ought to be changed, but also knows that peace is impossible because people actually want conflict. Hence his plan: put everyone in an illusion. On the surface it's the classic "haha i'm not the real final villain" trope, but really each one is building on the last. Thematically there's nowhere to go after Madara, which is why he should've been the last enemy and then immediately pivot into the Sasuke fight (which makes sense because Sasuke has sided with the Nagato -> Obito -> Madara progression, whereas Naruto has rejected it).

It was pretty much the same, but Obito didn't have the same thought process that Madara did. He refused to accept the world as it was, which is just like Hashirama and Madara, but Madara is the one who had the insight that you can't work within the world because people will keep fighting no matter what. Obito wanted to remake the world into one where suffering was erased. Madara was the one who gave him the specific plan which he thought of because he had already lived through one version of "remake the world" and knew the village system didn't suffice to erase pain.

I wish the Akatsuki weren't stuck in a shounen where an old woman is stronger than the strongest kazekage in history since Deidara admitted Sasori was stronger than him.

Deidara and Sasori are mid bosses at best though

Sand village was full of scrubs and puppeteers was the only thing they were good at. Also wasn't it cannon that Sasori kinda gave up in the end?

Only mid-bosses in the sense that you had guys like Itachi, Kisame, Pain, Obito, and Madara to contend with. They were quite strong and deserved better during the war. C4 Karura disintegrates matter at the atomic level, C0 has a 10km blast radius, and red secret technique canonically felled a nation. But no, let's have edo tensei Sasori fight without puppets and edo tensei Deidara- who outright states he can blow up edo tenseis like Shin repeatedly- not use C4 or C0 at all.

also: gaara lost to deidara cause he had to protect the sand village. he wasted pretty much all his chakra when deidara attacked them, and if i remember that's what left him vulnerable

This is wrong, by that time Deidara had already mixed detonating clay with Gaara's sand. All he needed was to force Gaara to defend with it. Attacking the village was a double feint, he threatens the village, then he sends a small bird to attack Gaara which forces him to defend, then his defense backfires. The attack on the village and the small bird were both distractions. Without being able to threaten the village he would still have been able to force Gaara to defend by attacking him directly. His Sasuke fight shows he has several more tricks up his sleeve that could have forced Gaara's sand to protect him.
