I think the main problem was Mami since she saw the potencial that madoka had at the moment, Brainwashing sayaka wouldn't have done anything since it was Mami the one that wanted Madoka to be a Mahou shoujou, it would have been the same result "Kyubey calling madoka's name and so encountering Mami"

That might have actually worked in the first few groundhog day playthroughs. But before long Madoka was way too strong to be stable as a Puella Magi, she would oneshot Walpurgis & then immediately go witch herself. (Presumably any use of her poewers would likewise overkill her soul gem with corruption) No time to use grief seeds, assuming there would even be enough in the city to cleanse her gem.

It's a hypothetical "what if" world where Homu, after resetting time only a few times beforehand, meets a girl during one of her timestops that tells her to go to a certain city if she wants to save magical girls.
Somehow, this world was unaffected by Meduka's wish and Madokami can't directly intervene into it.
