So a murder mystery next volume? Well, I guess the manga can't go straight for WW3, but I was hoping for more of volume one when the police shot up a school rather what we were getting recently. A lot of foreshadowing in this volume though. The murder strikes me as a plot by the Japanese government which should give a casus belli to Himeno after it is resolved. I am predicting the traitor wasp was injected by loyalty blocking drugs and has some grudge against Himeno.
Also just where is the manga trying to go with Mizu? She is a pretty interesting character, but she is still a human in a nest full of wasps. I bet she gets insect powers at some point.

But that's the wrong philosophy, brah. A translator is supposed to be as invisible as possible, conveying not just the original message but also the original tone, flow and style. Tone, flow and style all get fucked up when the reader's eyes get yoinked away from every other panel to read TL notes.
It's on the translators to fill the speech bubbles with dialogue that captures as much nuance as possible. It's a lazy approach to put one literal translation in the text bubble and another literal translation in the margins.
The right way to translate that would have been a word choice that had both "friendship" and "political" connotations. "Let's be comrades" or some shit.
Except sometimes something is literally not translatable, such as furigana where they give one word two often entirely different meanings, the nuance of which may intentionally be made known to the reader, but not the character the other is speaking to. You can't adjust the '''flow''' to capture something like that as english just doesn't have the furigana add-on installed. Any attempt to adjust dialog to match the 'nuance' is just a translator pulling shit out of their ass instead of translating. I want to know what was actually said because I'm not a brainlet and I can deal with reading a line telling me a secondary meaning real quick.
