It's overall fairly average and feels a lot like missed potential. It looks very pretty (with the exception of some god-awful post-processing slapped on top of certain scenes). Other than looking pretty, it feels like it has fairly little substance due to how episodic it is and how other characters beyond Violet hardly matter. It's not very interesting to watch unless you want episodic tearjerker attempts. Violet herself is generally fine, but the bits in her history about how she lost her arms and generally everything involving her actual military activity are fucking atrocious, especially those scenes where she literally had her arms shot/blown off a few minutes ago, is not bleeding anymore and somehow survives. Is she supposed to have literal superpowers?
The setting is rather boring too, they do absolutely nothing with it. I would've hoped that a setting where they can build and outfit people with arms like Violet's would've been more interesting and different than basically being generic Europe in the past. Nothing is explored as to how or why they can build and connect such arms to a person, or how having this sort of technology (magic?) would influence the world as a whole. It seems to exist strictly in order to justify Violet's snowflake status in-universe and nothing more. That's very lazy, but not necessarily uncommon in LNs/manga/anime, so I guess it's just mediocre missed potential in the end.
