If you've got anywhere nearby competent writing, then stuff happens before that doesn't seem immediately memorable or relevant, but will be important later.

If you want that degree of compartmentalisation, just watch two separate shows.

A recap is a golden opportunity to remind the viewer of important things that span the gap between production runs, whilst not forcing him to rewatch nine hours to f stuff he's already seen, and removing the need to shove annoying, time-wasting exposition into the actual first episode.

Compare this with AoT, which really really needed a recap and didn't get one. The overwhelming reaction to the first episode was "who is this and why should I care", and thus the long-anticipated continuation of one of the most popular series ever was met with a resounding "meh". She is a bit autistic in the LNs, but the anime really overdoes it. She's a lot more emotive in the LNs, and isn't just some doll like JC Staff portrays her to be.

If you don't want to read the LN, then check out the manga that this user suggests. It does a lot better job of showing Aiz's actual personality than the anime. And it's not just because they took out her internal narration.

Also does a good job of portraying and expanding on Lefiya's interactions without going for the Yuribait like JC did. Since it's actually her dynamic with Bell that's the more interesting, than her dyke spazzing.

I don't think that was in the LN. As far as I'm aware the only reference to Hades in the LN is the "Hades Head" item. Anyway, there's a different god of death in DanMachi than Hades. Hades is most likely chilling in hell, since even in mythology he didn't leave very much if ever. So it's probably not likely you'll see him.

Welf doesn't let Bell browse other blacksmiths. Just uses Bell as an experiment. Remember the White Dagger/Knife Bell was staring outside a blacksmith shop's window? It was unfortunately never mentioned again in the story.

This is a bad thing because according to Oratoria, Loki Famila members each have their own shops, merchants, blacksmiths they are patrons off so the stuff they get from the dungeon can be sold for more money than just selling everything to the Guild. Due to Welf's stubbornness and selfishness in a way, Bell is clueless about the city's economy and Bell is essentially living inside a small business bubble. He never tries to explore or buy anything from a stranger, only his small circle of friends.
The concept of market price or market economy never enters in his head and he just basically does whatever Welf tells him to do.

This can become a major problem when the familia becomes bigger one day. Welf should not be angry or jealous if Bell wants to try out the difference from other blacksmiths or vendors/merchants/shopkeepers. It won't happen because the author is a pussy but imagine if Welf gets killed in the dungeon one day and Bell doesn't have Welf as a blacksmith anymore. He's gonna be so clueless at finding new weapons or equipment just like Day 1 because due to Welf, Bell literally stopped shopping.

To me, it feels like Bell hasn't really explored the city.

Welf is literally the best smith aside from Hephaestus herself because he has the blood of a spirit in him and it allows him to make true magic swords. Between that and the Hestia knife that Hephaestus made, Bell doesn't really have a need for other weapons. Especially since the Hestia Knife has a falna and levels up with Bell. Maybe Bell could use armor from other smiths, but even then he's mostly limited by materials, and Welf can make top tier armor when they get high quality drop items, like the cloak he makes out of the Goliath's skin that can stand up to the freaky skull-spider thing that kills like everyone else.

Author might be forced to kick out the blacksmith since he only was suppose to join temporarily until he reached Level 3 and that is when he is allowed as a blacksmith to engrave his or her familia's crest onto their products.

It wouldn't even make sense for him to keep dungeon since he isn't really a fighter. Only battle freaks like one particular blacksmith reached Level 5 and she is suppose to be unique and eccentric. And if author acually follows the logic of his own writing, it should be many, many years before Welf could reach Level 3 because he isn't someone like Ais who held the record for quickest leveling until Bell came along. To be honest, the female blacksmith I was talking about in my post doesn't have any famous customer at all and its increasingly likely Bell's new blacksmith might be her. She already rejected Ais as a customer by the way. Not only that but unlike Welf, she is capable of dunegoning in the Deep Floors while that would be suicide for a Level 2 like Welf.

Tsubaki mentioned she fixed Bete's Loga so he may be her customer. She didn't reject Aiz as a customer, just that she thought past aiz was shit. Current Aiz is a-okay with Tsubaki though Aiz' main patron is still that old man god.

Its clear Welf isn't leaving when his current goal is to surpass Pai-chan. It'd be stupid for him to go back and become part of her familglia again since being away from it at least differentiates him from her other children.

The only one that has a chance of leaving is Mikoto but she may choose to stay now that Haruhime is there.

It's good enough that they got someone like Welf to do their weapons. That he can supply Lili and Haruhime magic daggers is already much more help than any other weapons they can buy.

Problem is Ryu apparently told her God to run away from town and live in hiding forever in case Evil Familia members try to seek revenge.

Honestly, wouldn't be suprised if Ryu's goddess is hanging out with Zeus in some mysterious location. As for Aisha, she would have joined but Lili was being a bitch and rejected her.

I have a hunch the volume after the current tone (which was just another anthology one) may be them going out to look for Astrea so Ryu can maybe join up with Hestia senpai.

This is more because it seems like Enyo is about to let shit hit the fan soon and there's no way they can implement that into the main story like they did with the Xenos. So it'd be likely for Bell and co to "coincidentally" leave the city as the main SO villian wrecks up shop in Orario.

But Welf stated it was just a temporary thing when he first left Heph. He isn't supposed to be going into the dungeon. He's suppose to eventually reach Level 3 and open a shop just like the other blacksmiths who reached Level 3 and expand his customer base. He won't actually improve if he just makes the same weapons for Bell and never sells to anybody else.

In Hestia's familia, because Welf is the only blacksmith, he never gets a chance to receieve critciism. When he is with Tsubaki, Welf actually becomes moody when receiving criticism from other blacksmiths. It's not like Bell would ever tell Welf to his face that his shit sucks.

If Bell just remains Welf's customer, Welf would never have the opportunity to make axes, spears, bows and arrows, and other shit for other customers based on gender and species.
Like I expect elves would need extremely light weapons for example while Dwarves wouldn't mind big and heavy weapons, something Bell would rarely ever use. Welf will go back to his original familia because of all the reasons I mentioned. It's because being in Heph's familia allows Welf to be criticized from all different kinds of blacksmiths from the Heph familia and he could recieve feedback 24/7 and people would actually tell him when his weapons are shit or not.

You may not realize this but it's only very recently when the dungeon diving has become relevant. It's never really been that important a plot point because Loki senpai is already doing that. it's only when Fels told bell to go to the bottom of the dungeon that Oomori remembered that dungeon diving was a thing.

I really don't think Hestia should be compare to Loki which has, what, a hundred or so members? Hestia familia seems better off as a special task force unit of some sort since all the members are super specialized. Loki's level 6's are great but they all don't really have potentially broken skills like Welf, Haruhime, or even Lili does.

Meanwhile, at Level 6 Loki senpai are mainly just stat buffs. Maybe Welf's Hati could be good but eh.

Lili might be just good for War Games but shapesifting is not helpful in the dungeon since Monsters can sniff out fakes. The current anime will prob only cover Apollo, Ishtar, and first anthology volumes which are all outside the dungeon. The next big arc, the Xenos one, has the dungeon but its not really about going into deeper floors.

The latest arc was about dungeon diving though which made it fun but I think the author is going to shift away from the dungeon once more.

Well, I read the spinoff and the famous Dragon's Urn in Volume 1 pretty much makes me think it is 100% impossible for Hestia Familia to even enter the Dragon's Urn as they currently are.

You have hundreds of dragons surrounding this big mountainous hole and dragon fire can ignore rock and stone and acts like laser beams. Hestia should not have disbanded Apollo's Familia. As the victor of the War Game, she actually had the full legal right to absorb Apollo's Familia which had 110 members, many of them already Level 2. If Lili and Hestia didn't cockblock Aisha, Aisha could have gathered several Level 3 and Level 4 Amazons from Ishtar's familia to join the Hestia Familia when all the Amazons became free from Ishtar. Hestia Familia could have been the 3rd strongest familia after Loki and Freya by now if Hestia just absorbed every familia that Bell was involved with in defeating.

He also makes a unique magic sword that works like a regular magic item - consuming wielder's mana - and it only works at full power when wielded by a Crozzo.
