Are you ready, waga deshi?
I actually don't know much about Japanese singers but ASCA has a nice voice. Koe (Apoc ED song) is my most favorite Fate anime ED song at this point and from the 3rd Case Files PV, Hibari sounds very nice too.
countdown illustration by Ishida Akira (Fate/Apocrypha manga)
Did you know she sang Prime Number from Sakurasou? Still remains my favorite songs of hers, though Resister is good too.
Morii Shizuki (Fate/strange Fake manga and novel illustrator)
Konoe Ototsugu (Fate/Apocrypha novel illustrator)
Man, is that Sima Yi? She's my favourite servant. I'm happy she's finally being animated.
Hiroyama Hiroshi (Prisma Illya manga)
>this post
Toh Azuma (Case Files manga)
The last illustration will be revealed today
How did Waver become such a chad?
This Jeanne looks funny. Is this another alter?
>Mami Kawada Lover !aNRFNkpkG
Was almost glad I saw a thread for this show.
>Aldnoah Zero
Why.
>The last illustration will be revealed today
Please be Takeuchi drawing Gray in all her Saberface glory.
Cuz Iskandar.
Though since Waver also becomes Lord El-Melloi II in Tsuki/MB/Mahoyo timeline where servant can't be summoned and Holy Grail War doesn't happen, this is probably a Time-Lock and Alaya will force it to happen no matter what.
We got a Gray illustration already, the last one will be Waver for sure
>Asuka Ookura (aka ASCA) and her based music?
> her based music?
More like Kajiura's music.
He didn't even try on this one.
Troyca, who's animating this, was well known for doing Aldnoah Zero.
Waver's nice too. I just wanna see Gray drawn by Takeuchi for the shitposts.
>Troyca, who's animating this, was well known for doing Aldnoah Zero.
I know that, I meant more "Why is she so enthusiastic about that shitty anime?"
Wasn't this premiering at AX? Any impressions?
Is Kajiura really singing the OP? Don't think I've heard her sing before.
It's instrumental, though she has sung in some soundtracks and Kalafina songs.
She has a good voice, and is pretty versatile.
Seems like OP song doesn't have lyrics. You can hear it in the 3rd PV twitter.com
I haven't seen any Case Files post from AX, but i read some reviews and spoilers by JP fans after the prescreening before.
It is another new Saberface. Identity is Uesugi Kenshin. Voiced by Nana Mizuki, thus making her best Saberface.
fuck haven't watched fate zero yet. I'll just watch this first I guess.
even better than saber?
From those reviews i saw before, Case Files anime could still be watched without knowing Fate/Zero before since they pretty much explain it right in the first episode, so you really don't need to worry much about it and can go watch Zero later.
is luvia in this or will it have even less of her than prisma?
They skip the part where Luvia appears but she got a countdown illustration so i have no idea
They better shoehorn in Luvia somewhere
There will be some original content at first so maybe Luvia could appear in that part i guess ? She will not show up in ep 1 and 2 anyway
Was it she who was the vocals in Credens Justitiam and Sis Puella Magi?
She's likely psychotic ....so yes
Was episode 0 an early airing of the show or its own thing?
Why Waver doesn't fuck this? Is he homo for Bro?
Episode 0 was released back in New Year 2019, personally i think you should watch it before ep 1
Own thing IIRC
Some stuff from El-Melloi II Times vol 1 and vol 2, really helpful for newcomers who want to watch this anime:
>001. Mage (or Magus is fine)
A person whose body has magic circuits and is capable of using magecraft.
>002. Magic Circuits
A pseudo-nervous system possessed by a mage. It can convert Life Force into Magical Energy.
>003. Magical Energy
The necessary energy for mages to activate magecraft.
>004. Mystic Code
A support tool that has the effect of magecraft
>005. The Root
The starting point of all events. The place where every mage should aim at.
>006. Holy Grail War
A ritual where people fight for the Holy Grail - a universal wish machine that is able to fulfill any wish. Only the winning Mage (Master) and Heroic Spirit (Servant) pair can obtain the Holy Grail.
>007. Mage's Association
A mutual aid society formed by mages, an organization aiming to manage and conceal magecraft. Its headquarters is located in London, the capital of the United Kingdom - the Clock Tower.
>008. Clock Tower
One of the Three Great Branches of the Mage's Association as well as the headquarters. There are twelve faculties in this large academic city, and each faculty is ruled by a Lord.
(Vol 2. This image is not from El-Melloi Times btw)
The purpose of Mage's Association is to manage, conceal and develop magecraft. It is divided into three main divisions: the Clock Tower, Atlas Institute and Wandering Sea. Based in London, the Clock Tower is the headquarters of Mage's Association and also known as the name of the main building in this academic city.
>The power struggle of the Clock Tower - the Three Major Factions
The Clock Tower is divided into three factions, and every Lord as well as their departments belong to one of those factions.
+ Barthomeloi faction: headed by the Barthomeloi, the Aristocracy are those who believe in the reign of long, noble lineage magi. (Lord El-Melloi II is a member of this faction)
+ Trambellio faction: with Trambellio family as the leader, the Democracy are actively raising and embracing young talents no matter their lineage (Melvin Waynez is a member of this faction)
+ Meluastea faction: Meluastea family represent the Neutral faction who only focus on history and researches.
>Twelve Departments of the Clock Tower *note: the name in (___) is about the founder family, not the current Lord, you can understand it as "the faculty of (___)"
1. General Fundamentals (Mystile)
2. Individual Fundamentals (Solonea)
3. Spiritual Evocation (Eulyphis)
4. Mineralogy (Kischur)
5. Zoology (Chimera)
6. Anthropology (Brishisan)
7. Botany (Yumina)
8. Celestial Body (Animusphere)
9. Creation (Valuay)
10. Curse (Jigmarie)
11. Archaeology (Astaire)
12. Modern Magecraft Theory (Norwich)
13. The Faculty of Law
>The Faculty of Law
Mages who supervise other mages. They are a herectical faction that don't have any direct relation to the study of Mystery but exist for the purpose of developing the stability of the Clock Tower itself. They manage eveything related to politics in the Clock Tower.
I honestly can't get hyped up over a show centered around Waver of all characters.
Why..? Case Files is the only Fate work that Waver becomes the protagonist after all.
Because I don't like Waver. At all.
Just not being a retread of the grail war makes it worth checking out I think. Waver gets bullied a lot anyway.
You must be gay!
It's not about waver, it's about the magus part of the Nasuverse. Hell, the only thing still interesting now that everything is waifubait and powerlevels
>Lord El-Melloi II is a member of this faction
Shouldn't that be other way around? Wasn't Waver against the ideas of strong mages only being from long families? And that magical strength can be gained by study and hard work?
He's an irritating character overall. The Fate/Zero event in FGO was also hard to enjoy because he was there. Whether it's young Waver or old Waver, I don't like either of them. The most annoying part is he seems to be a favorite of a lot of guest writers so they keep shoving him in wherever they can. His entire character was a mistake.
He was taken in by the Barthomeloi family and made Fastwheels' successor. He owes them some heavy debts so it's not like he can get out of it.
>One of the Three
Where's the other two?
Chinkland and Burgerland?
He's bound by debts
Atlas and I can't remember the other one
Best Apocrypha boy
>Shouldn't that be other way around? Wasn't Waver against the ideas of strong mages only being from long families? And that magical strength can be gained by study and hard work?
Yes but the El-Melloi family are a part of the Aristocracy since very long ago so Waver also becomes a member of them despite his hatred. That's why Lord Valueleta always want him as well as Reines and the MMT department to side with the Democracy faction.
Atlas Institute and the Wandering Sea
Why would a faction of the London-based Clock Tower be in China or America? ESPECIALLY America, a nation that has extremely minimal magical history?
>tons of reines porn
Will this qt smug loli have a lot of screentime? Please say yes.
Yeah
What would Alice Kuonji's rank be in comparison?
Waver's shit. Grey's kind of boring. Reyes is probably the only worthwhile one. Luvia's good though. Her hatred towards Waver's extremely well-founded.
She's an exceptional magus in every way, but she doesn't seem to care much about the Magus Association.
What is Modern Magecraft Theory and what isn't modern magecraft theory anyway? Just the notion of a blanket curriculum of general ideas that any magus can apply to improve their own magecraft?
Probably has something to do with the differences between the Age of the Gods and the Age of Man. Thaumaturgy worked pretty differently before Solomon came along.
Atlas is in Egypt. Wandering Sea somewhere in Scandinavia.
And there is sort of 4th unofficial one in USA. That's where most of the new age magic comes from.
True witches are some of the most powerful magi in the world. She's stronger than prime Touko and Touko is a very big deal in CT with rank higher than most lords.
Atlas is in Egypt. And about the Wandering Sea
>It is a conglomerate of minor organizations of magi that are spread throughout Europe that was originally the original Association that predated the Clock Tower.
>This base is itself a moving mountain range. Normally it is wandering at sea as its name suggests, but sometimes it comes up on dry land.
>The Wandering Sea is located in a Texture of the world between the world of man and the Reverse Side of the World. Most of this texture is composed entirely of ocean, with the exception of the island that the organization uses as a base, which is a submersible landmass capable of moving around the world.
>Alice's magecraft is called Yumina in Mahoyo booklet
>Yumina is the name of the founder of Botany faculty
>Botany faculty is also called "the Witch Studies" and they focus on anti-aging and immortal researches
Heh...
Touko's a splendid Magus, but it's not hard to beat her in a fight. When it comes to combat, the most valuable are the ones whose powers are useless for anything other than battle. In the world of magi, those kinds of magi aren't all that valued, but when you're in a fight, they're the kings. That's why someone as useless as Shirou can be so strong, and why Bazett has almost no value in the Association beyond her talent for killing. None of the greatest and most talented magi are the strongest in a fight. The strongest are the useless ones who ONLY know how to fight.
That's why Aoko's a shit magus but an unstoppable juggernaut simultaneously.
Lord of Botany is also a witch.
Atlas>clock tower
change my mind
>Touko's a splendid Magus, but it's not hard to beat her in a fight.
It's the exact opposite. Touko is a combat monster because of her dolls and immortality.
Hopefully this blesses my gacha luck and allow me to pull Waver witht he GSSR
Well its likely to do with newer foundations/new age mysticism.
As for Age of Gods vs Modern Magecraft we know now from the recent volume of Casefiles that Divine Words/age of gods magic is based off making a contract and being given permission by a Divine Spirit to use a tiny tiny part of their authority to borrow their concept and power. Tunes meanwhile seem to be knowledge passes down with a DRM that kills you placed on the primordial ones that kill you if Odin isn’t giving you permission if you use them. It fits with the whole Runes are a “magic crest” thing. So passed on power vs passed on knowledge.
If you had the opportunity to specifically pick which one of the three institutes you could go to, where would you go?
For me, Atlas all the way. I mean all of chaldea's shit comes from there
>but it's not hard to beat her in a fight
Touko is known for traveling all over the world and defeating everyone she fought. How do you think she got all those crests in Mahoyo?
Fuck off tripnigger
Best girl who's underappreciated.
And yet, could she ever hope to beat the true combat geniuses like Bazett or Aoko?
Normal magecraft is about preserving mystery. Usually going back to the Age of the Gods.
Modern Magercaft is about finding new ways to do magic. Usually using the collective subconscious of the humanity. Waver even talks about using concepts from popular movies to do magic.
It just dawned on me.
Magecraft is described as something that can be replicated by science giving enough time within the same era.
So for the longest time,I've been wondering how the hell is science supposed to replicate some of their bullshit like creating reality marbles or entering the imaginary number space.
then it hit me, the science they're talking about isn't regular muggle science. It's Atlas academy science
It’s more that she’s so high tier she’s strong even in combat despite not being a fighter type. It’s like Kayneth and his mercury blob being so good and strong that he’s dangerous as a pure researcher.
If you say that her ability as a magus is A+ then her ability as a fighter is B or A. Significantly lower but she’s still dangerous. Besides her kind of magus is much better at making a familiar way better at fighting and killing than herself. Most magi are that way actually.
Aoko is in a different league due to true magic. Touko could definitely fuck Bazett in a fight.
They do completely different things in the end. One is a group that wants to reach the root and study magic while sometimes getting into politics and dumb shit. The other is a group of Mentats who all go insane because they’re trying to do the impossible task of saving the world. Also they make doomsday devices and are never allowed to leave.
The first episode is about how waver become el melloi II. He also went to iraq to search babylone after the grail war.
Yeah, look at Nasuverse stories that happen in the future and level of tech they have there. One has servant summoning as smartphone apps.
In the long run, modern magecraft will eventually surpass these old things. For example, challeng the sheer power of memes. no seriously, memes themselves and their ability to influence people and replicate endlessly could be used in some form of magecraft.
And then you add shit like information theory to the mix. Oh boy
Bazett can probably smash most Touko puppets honestly. Her job is literally to hunt people like Touko. Plus we know she can trade blows with people with servant parameter strength (Liz/dumb homuncumaid has B- strength and they fight blocking and parrying each other in Ataraxia)
What? Name? Sauce?
She doesn't use true magic in battle. She just shoots gigantic beams and punches the shit out of you. It's basically the same thing as what happened with Rin and Medea. Medea is overwhelmingly superior as a magus, but she has no innate talent for combat. She's not a genius in battlefield theory, she's not a martial artist, she's not a fighter. That's why Rin was able to clumsily draw her in and take advantage of her opening to beat the shit out of her. If Kuzuki hadn't been there, Rin could have defeated her with her bare hands.
Touko's probably self-taught when it comes to combat, but her talent as a warrior in indisputably inferior to Aoko or Bazett. Even Shirou could probably beat her due to his convenient ability to sense danger. I doubt there are any spells in the modern age capable of stopping a well-timed strike from a Noble Phantasm.
It’s stuff that’s possible but just like even if you can make a fireball by covering a ball with lighter fluid, lighting it on fire and tossing it at someone. It’s ultimately different from doing it via magecraft. Magecraft doesn’t necessarily follow physics but it also can’t do stuff that’s impossible on a theoretical level.
That said science is a lot better at big explosions and normal humanity gets really overpowered in the future in stuff like Tsuki no Sango. Making a fake Arcueid for the moon to control and terraform it, make perpetual motion machines... ect. That’s also just fake peak humanity who ended up blowing their load early and not making it to the next stage.
I would say you’re partially correct but all in all humanity gets really big dick in the future if they can make it.
Touko can literally fight servants. It happens in novels. Yes she's weak by herself but her dolls are great. And she's almost impossible to kill.
Honestly not as strong as stable mysteries. Memes are kind of not something you can really make a good use of. Something like using angels or the idea that pointing at people curses them will ultimately have better mystery and cooler effects.
To be honest you can come up with a lot of bullshit just by opening a big book on any random epic of a culture and adapting the stuff in it as a base of your foundation and magic.
Well, in terms of sheer destruction, isn't technology at the top? Only an EX-ranked Noble Phantasm geared towards destruction can beat an atomic bomb when it comes to scale.
Well in terms of scale and how easy it is to make bigger explosions science definitely wins out. You could probably manage some stuff with magic depending on your resources, how much time you have and your means. Like if you have the proper magic and a holy grail you could certainly do something big. But magic wins out against science through conceptual things and mystery.
>he's a mage in the mage's association
Imagine if Shakespeare was summoned by someone that’s a really good mage instead of a shitter like Amakusa. Imagine something like Touko’s puppets all buffed into being C rank Noble Phantasms.
That's true. But eventually, most of that shit will be surpassed. What they mean by "technology will win in the end" is that in the end, the results will be superior. In terms of means, thaumaturgy is already considered to be inefficient. You don't need to study study for years in order to produce fire, you can just light a match.
I mean, shit, look at computers and smartphones. Can you think of any thaumaturgy that can do what these things do? You don't need all sorts of spells, enchantments and mystical ingredients to create a worker golem when you can just churn a tractor or crane machine out of a factory.
This is related to Fate.
I don't know anything about Fate.
Can I watch this and not become retarded?
In theory, doesn't Scathach still exist somewhere? I'm sure she's better than any living modern magus by a landslide.
No. Run away and save yourself before it's too late.
In the end for being things made by a singular family Magecraft can get pretty crazy. But if one compares society and a family obviously a family will lose out.
There are used to both and Magecraft is suffering by being in its final stages before it transitions into either something like Codecasts by being information and humanity based unlike Magecraft that relies on the foundations engraved into the planet. Or it just completely fades out.
Either way mages (not spellcasters) are unironically the most fun part of Nasu. Then you realize half the Dead Apostle Ancestors are just immortal super vampire mages who spent a few thousand years both fucking around bored and also doing their things.
More Tsuki-timeline works when?
She's trapped in some other dimension or something.
Maybe at runes. Obviously not at other magic. She also mainly uses Norse runes because she wants to fight and Celtic runes are more for big prep time rituals instead of draw something in the middle of a fight.
If you’re talking about in a fight she’d be crushed by like Alice and her Ploys. Ploys are ridiculous and that’s considering Alice who is way weaker than her mom. You have people like Lorelei and Forte as well who are respectively people who hunt down servant + tier vampires during the time they get big buffs in their territory which is another advantage, as a hobby. And someone whose combat abilities are apparently burial agency tier who also hunt said vampires as their job.
Who knows what the 2000+ year old director of Clock Tower, Jewel Killer of the Sea of Estray or various hidden chad mages can do too.
I get it, they are watching Rin's porn?
Nigga Scathach is so strong that she can kill gods. You're seriously looking down on Heroic Spirits if you think they can be beaten so easily.
Waver was literally the reason why his master died and his family lost most of their magi heritage.
And now hes one of the lords of the clocktower, is the #1 most popular teacher in the clocktower to boot, is rich and the loli princess of the El-melloi family is offering him to fuck her.
So the moral of the story is that betrayal pays off?
>Waver was literally the reason why his master died and his family lost most of their magi heritage.
lmao, implying he would have won the war if he had Alex.
Fuck you, I'll be the one who's laughing when I reach the root.
Kuonji Alice is just a dollar store Nursery Rhyme.
>And now hes one of the lords of the clocktower, is the #1 most popular teacher in the clocktower to boot, is rich and the loli princess of the El-melloi family is offering him to fuck her.
She just wants his sperm.
She probably know he wouldn't put out because she's not a thicc greek hero.
They’re not divine spirits if you read Ataraxia’s talk on what she fought. They were nameless near-god beings or so. Still impressive but it’s basically just fighting a elemental at that point.
Either way she’s certainly not untouchable to modern magic either.
Old men
Why should I watch this shit?
Other way around actually. But yeah Nursery is also pretty scary. Alice’s ploys all have tradition protection like NR’s Jabberwock and stuff like the Thames Troll are probably superior. Then you get to Flat Snark which is some ridiculous shit. It just goes to show how insane Aoko is for being able to shoot that thing down.
>I mean, shit, look at computers and smartphones. Can you think of any thaumaturgy that can do what these things do?
Don't they have magical supercomputers and shit?. Then the whole brain modification. and then some servants literally have computing power that surpasses any computer on the planet
Normal human brain has more processing power than any computer on earth and its ridiculously energy efficient
Being able to create a few bounded fields doesn't make you invincible. You're blowing this shit way out of proportion. Even if she's a witch, she can't beat a Heroic Spirit that easily. The Nameless Forest and Jabberwock aren't her only tricks. The only problem is that due to her very nature, it's extremely difficult for most magi to keep up. A standard Master would probably die from over-exertion. Nursery Rhyme herself is a living Reality Marble. She is the living embodiment of all children's tales. Her theoretical potential is limitless. That said, the form she takes and what abilities she produces is fundamentally limited by her Master, so depending on the Master, she can be either really weak or obscenely strong.
Scathach is so absurdly talented in the arts of thaumaturgy and war that she accidentally lost the ability to die. And she can mass-produce Gae Bolgs.
For now. In general mages are good at processing vast amounts of info and they could make mystic codes to help with it like Sigurd glasses. But the internet is still a ridiculous thing.
As for stuff like actual galaxy brain Buddha sword. Suzuka’s thing is absolutely ridiculous but you can’t consider that normal by any means either. It also destroys her if she uses it too much similar to Xuanzang’s become Buddha noble phantasm because it’s a similar thing.
Alex was a way stronger servant than Diarmuid
Well she had a cyber ghost master which basically gives you a full license to go as full blast as you want. I certainly agree that NR is very much overpowered and underestimated by most people. But I’m just also saying that Ploys are a special kind of ridiculous
As for Scathach her Gae Bolgs are kind of shit. She can’t do the stuff that makes it so good that Cu has because that stuff is a mix of his legend and his technique. Her bootleg techniques are way worse
You guys think the root in Magic and the grand unifying theory of everything in science are like the same thing?
I mean come on. One is the end goal of magic and one is the end goal of science.
Seriously, why the fuck are you underestimating Scathach this much? You do know that she's one of the top Servants, right? And she's fundamentally unkillable unless you incinerate human history or have a rule-breaker like the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.
Well the Root isn’t just a magic thing. It’s everything. It’s just that mages chase after it because they want all wisdom and chase after perfection (the root) as an ideal.
Well, no one ever said only magic could reach the root. Maybe one day science could reach the root.
I mean, martial artist's can do it. Science can definitely do it
Yeah maybe, but DUDE and fastwheels have horrible compatibility as people and would have never been able to work together. Deermud only went so far since muh knight's honor is a piss-easy way to control a guy
Its perfect that she cant be killed, that way you can use her as a sex slave and do all kinds of fucked up shit without her dying.
She’s ok but she also has the unfortunate problem of basically being an inferior clone of an already existing servant so she’s not only a worf but a boring one. It’s canon that Cu is better than her after doing all his crazy stuff fighting massive armies alone on a daily basis and doing his hero stuff. She gets her ass kicked by him hard in Link. She’s also a generalist which also means she’s not as good at specific fields as other servants the same way Chiron can’t out shoot Atalanta or Arash, or outwrestle Achilles or Martha.
It’s more I would say you’re overestimating her.
It isn’t like things you can’t kill, only seal are new to mages. See half the DAAs.
It’s also not like she can leave the land of shadow so I would assume that any comparison would be with her in a servant container which can very much be destroyed normally too.
As long as you reach perfection/the best of something you can go to the root yeah. Case Files even has a family whose path to the root is to make the most beautiful person ever.
Fast wheels and Waga Algae have the worst compatibility tho going from interviews. One wants to serve without care about his master, simply that he has a master. One wants to be appreciated as a genius because he’s arrogant but also actually is legitimately super hot shit. If Diarmuid actually considered Kayneth as an individual rather than just as a means to serve a lord then they would have gotten along better. It’s a compatibility issue that’s too fundamental and contributed to by both sides to work at all.
You do know that Cu Chulainn is also a top Servant, right? I seriously can't believe you think Scathach is mediocre just because Cu Chulainn has more talent. Your entire logic is completely absurd.
You're also putting way too much weight on Alice's Ploys, especially Flat Snark. Any top-class Servant can destroy a beast like that with ease. Even a mid-class Servant most likely wouldn't lose.
Can I watch this despite never watching anything besides the original Fate/Stay Night anime and occasionally popping into Fate/Zero threads?
The El-Melloi in in serious debt and their magic crest was shredded so their pedigree is also tarnished and they're Waver's problems now as the current El-Melloi proxy head.
You’re definitely underestimating the super familiar made out of a god’s Body parts that flings meteors on the level of Brynhildr’s suicide primordial rune Venus meteor attack that’s compared to high tier Noble Phantasms in terms of power and value.
Hes still way better off than before. Without the war, he would have been a generic no named mage.
A life-and-death battle isn't a conclusion someone strength. Just like a weak person can kill someone who is overwhelmingly stronger than him.
But without a doubt, she is his Superior. She's the one that taught him everything he knows. Not everything she knows.
anyway, she's the cream of the crop. The type it's too close to a god so she had to be kicked off the planet.
cu himself said once she gets serious,t u he can't beat her.
also, he never surpassed her in mythology. He interfered with her fight against her sister.
There are a dozens of Heroic Spirits who can beat that.
Even as an old man he can’t even make basic bounded fields and had to rely on naturally formed Feng Shui ones. Isn’t it sad? Waver-Kun.
Yes. It's barely related to other Fate series.
He says that because he’s traumatized from her training and just doesn’t want to fight her. It’s blatantly suppose to be like Achilles and his attitude towards Chiron.
Besides when they actually do fight in canon she gets wrecked again and again so...
He's a slave.
If it was better for Waver why did Reines approve of it?
That's impressive thing.
Look, even if you have the stats to match t heros. Most likely don't have the skill intuition and control to do so. Take the homunculus maids for example. they have the physical stats to match a heroic Spirit but they will get bodied if they try to fight one
Also, a God's body part isn't a god. Many heroic spirits can easily play with such a thing like it's a child's toy
slave to a loli princess that wants his sperm. still not seeing the downside here.
It's her birthday tomorrow please give her a cameo oh god oh god please
He wants to play vidya and be gae for Alex.
Watched prologue, don't know what to think of it yet.
Art/animation looked very cheap for the majority of the episode.
On the bright side, Gray was very cute redpill me on her character beyond wikia page and soundtrack was great. Definitely waiting for the OST release.

All in all, what to expect from this anime?
>This does well
>Mahoyo get adapted
>What I want
A solid mystery series that expands on the worldbuilding and mage's world in Nasuverse
>What I expect
An average series that'll keep wanking off Servants and Waver's connection to Rider, so the world won't be expanded all too much.
I doubt it. Mahoyo is nice but it's much too slow paced to be adapted to an anime series well.
Maybe as a movie but would they put that much effort into it?
Bounded fields are tough, man. Fate spoils us heavily with all sorts of crazy bullshit but most bounded fields are just shit like the Emiya residence's security barrier or Touko's "go away this place isn't interesting" barrier.
I think it could be done. The Case Files isnt particularly fast paced either and Mahoyo does have great scenes to shoft the pacing and still feel natural. Having it done as a movie would really make the pacing feel all over the place with how much they'd have to cram in just to get to the Amusement park scene
Also, putting aside Servants and Reality Marbles, Araya Souren is the best user of bounded fields in the modern era, so don't expect anyone to surpass what he does.
>entering the imaginary number space.
But to be fair Chaldea use both science & magecraft to enter INS don't they...? They need a "bond", Paper Moon by Sion and the Shadow Border.
Yeah but he can’t do the basics of “don’t come here if you’re a normie” and stuff either.
>The mysterious box that transported Guda and company to the Sengoku Era is referred to as the Logos-Re:Act Generic -- of the same series as the Logos-Re:Act Replica used by Gray to seal the Rhongomyniad. Both are apparently replicas of the true Logos-Re:Act, which is referred to as one of Atlas' seven super-weapons.
>Sion describes the Logos-Re:Act Generic as a cheap knockoff of a Gedankenexperiment Apparatus (思考実験装置) created by an Alchemist of Atlas -- the purpose of which is to deploy a limited-scope Observational Space (観測空間) as to provide an environment for the implementation of thought experiments. The capabilities of the Logos-Re:Act Generic are sufficient to run a simulation of proximate detail to reality -- that is, a virtual reality.
>When da Vinci asks if the Apparatus would be capable of simulating in a limited scope an alternate history for purposes of [hypothesis?] verification, Sion confirms that it would be hypothetically possible. However, practically speaking, if the simulation is let to proceed, discrepancies with reality begin to accumulate, resulting in a situation whereby the Verification Space (検証空間) becomes a Singularity. Ergo, it can be described as a Singularity Generator.
>In any case, Sion doesn't know what will happen if a World Verification (世界検証) currently being simulated is forcibly terminated, and thus prevents O-Ryo-san from breaking the Logos-Re:Act Generic -- stating that even if it's a cheap knockoff, it's still part of the legacy of Atlas.
>Do note that the Generic was activated at the beginning of this event after the Gudaguda crew smacked it around using Servant-level physical attacks -- and so, there's a good chance that it's already malfunctioning. Sion doesn't know what sorts of bugs or errors could pop up if the device were damaged. Unrelatedly, she might've received it as a birthday present from Zepia.
Nice birthday gift, Sion.
It's not like he has much talent. Remember, his skill is seeing the talents of others. He'll never be more than a third rate magus on his own. It's just that in spite of his rotten personality, rotten soul and rotten existence, he's raised many fine magi who all feel loyalty to him for his teachings. He's worthless on his own. Absolutely worthless.
It’s just unfortunate for him since he just wants to research. Although he doesn’t make it to Lev levels of no-life book reading autism either.
>Modern Magecraft is a faculty that aims to summarise the thaumaturgy of the past centuries as a broader, shallower, more general magecraft that is "easier to use". Freely discussing and evaluating magecraft, even uploading images of it at times, it truly is a field for a new generation adapted to modern society, without the support or approval of the Lords.
>Without the war, he would have been a generic no named mage.
From Clock Tower 2015
>"If only there were no Lords this place would be pretty liveable, pointless though it is to hope. They're even more stubborn than the vampire knockoff that's been running the Clock Tower for nearly a thousand years. Ah, but wasn't El-Melloi ruined? And I've heard the Mineralogy top brass have changed too."
>The fact that El Melloi II, who is considered the foremost of the new generation's leaders, became the Department Head of Modern Magecraft could also be seen as a sign of the times. Regardless, the degree of conflict between the new generation that "traced back a century or so at best" and the noble magi who "had more than ten centuries of history behind them" goes without saying.
Clock Tower 2015 happens in Tsukihime/Mahoyo timeline which means no servant as well as the Holy Grail War
He doesn't deserve it. He's rotten and worthless.
And yeah the last countdown illustration is here. By Sakamoto Mineji (Case Files novel illustrator)
>Cute face
>Cute voice
>Wears cloak
>Zettai ryouiki
>Scythe as weapon
Is she the best girl?
>Clock Tower 2015 happens in Tsukihime/Mahoyo timeline which means no servant as well as the Holy Grail War
You what?
>Tsukihime timeline
Servants can't be summoned since Humanity are the "underdogs" of the world and are on the decline
>Fate timeline
Servants and grailwars can happen since this timeline falls under the reign of humanity or so to speak, wherein they are the dominant being in the world
No, I mean nothing contradicts Clock Tower 2015 not being in the 'Servant timeline'.
Making kids together was a joke. She would never really do it.
I really like Shizuki despite him having almost Takeuchi tier samefaces
>Wasn't Waver against the ideas of strong mages only being from long families? And that magical strength can be gained by study and hard work?
He was proven wrong though
Can't wait for loli Reines.
I thought that words guy from Kara no Kyokai was also crown rank?
Or is he non-canon here?
Well there's nothing contradicting it yes, but there's also nothing saying it can't be outside the Servant timeline either
Even without the war, Waver will still become Lord El-Melloi II no matter what.
Same. Watched the 0 ep and honestly don't like any of the characters. What were they thinking changing Waver into some brooding middle-age men. Gonna watch it for the lore though.
Nasu used another word ("Master" IIRC) for his rank back in KnK days, which is different from "Crown" so the person who made that image decided to not add him to it. That's the only time "Master" rank got mentioned too and many people (including me btw) think that probably Nasu already forgets it and "Master" is actually the same term as "Crown".
Do I need knowledge of Fate to appreciate this series? Only watched Fate/Zero and the first season of Prisma Illya so far.
F/Z is enough knowledge, probably. There's going to be unfamiliar magecraft concepts but you can just read the wiki for those if it gets too bad.
You'll need knowledge of not just fate but the entire Nasuverse to fully appreciate this show.
Fate/Zero is already enough for you to watch and understand Case Files, tho.
>What were they thinking changing Waver into some brooding middle-age men
Actually it's other way around. Lord El-Melloi II had been introduced before Fate/Zero got released.
Holy shit the source of this already has 10 volumes. I thought it was just a little side thing... has anyone here actually read most volumes?
>Actually it's other way around. Lord El-Melloi II had been introduced before Fate/Zero got released.
What was introduced? The concept or the fact the Lord El-Melloi is a brooding middle aged looking Waver?
It ended at 10 volumes.
The concept (design + personality + background info) only though.
It is currently being translated into English on BL (it's in vol3 now if i remember correctly). Case Files material will be released in this Winter btw.
that smug face makes me want to rape her
>The concept (design + personality + background info) only though.
So was Waver shoehorned in as Lord El-Melloi for fanservice or was he conceptualized as having taking part in the 4th grail war?
El Melon II was first introduced in a fanbook called Character material, released back in 2006. It was here that most of the broad details of his character were laid out.
It's also the only time Nasu has ever personally written and published anything concerning him.
I don't know, but Waver was created by Nasu (still written by Urobuchi though)
You think atlas has something that is essentially the scientific version of the Holy Grail hidden in their vaults somewhere? Cuz like in one of those fgo events it introduced the concept of a purely scientific Grail. Heck even the mooncell it's something like that
Basic details such as him being involved in the 4th War as well as being the one to dismantle the grail after the 5th were drawn up by Nasu early on. Since then, different authors have used him for various purposes, though Nasu never has. And excellent way to definitively tell if a story wasn't written by Nasu is if Waver appears in some shape or form.
So a device that can accomplish almost anything if given enough energy?
You mean the Logos Re;Act right ? Actually it was introduced in Case Files (the Contract of Atlas case which features Zepia) and yeah it's basically a mini-moon cell.
>Logos Re;Act is basically just a mini-moon cell that's more high-tier than Para's mini-moon cell
>It is unable to recreate a soul, because that's Heaven's Feel. But it can record and recreate the mind.
>Also because its a spiritron computer, it can calculate multiple possibilities, creating multiple worlds inside itself.
>So like Zepia was able to understand there was a version of himself out there that would become TATARI. Flatt and Svin had to find the world where Gray and Waver were among billions. Which was like the scene in Melty Blood Nightmare where Sion is in the hall of doors but in their case it was bubbles I believe.
>It's core is made of philosphers stones though and it's true form is the bird of hermes.
Sion only has the Replica version of it anyway and eventhough this has never been confirmed before, there's no doubt that Sialim actually used the original version of Logos Re;Act in Melty Blood Nightmare as well (especially after Sion's description in GudaGuda).
And about "the scientific version of the Holy Grail", could you explain more about this ? Btw hopefully they will introduce other Atlas's seven superweapons in the future too.
This honestly kinda shocked me, since it means that it's probably the same machine that Dust of Osiris uses in MBAA. Shiki destroyed something that amazing and didn't leave a single trace. How sad.
Probably the only anime I'll be watching this year desu
This series is literally fanservice for TMfans
You're supposed to know a lot
Can't wait to see Long hair Waver still being hopeful before he gets corrupted
i actually enjoy watching the suffering life of Waver...

Episode 1 PV: Babylon, the Condemned, and the Memories of the King
Silly user, Reines rapes you.
First time I'm hyped for T-M anime in years.
I waited years for Reines fanart and porn. 2019 is such a gift.
Is a 2nd loli trying to NTR Reines from her toy?
That's a flashback to when she mindraped him and made him her slave.
Oh it's just tinier Reines
I want to work for a loli.
Inori is such a perfect choice for her.
I hate femdom.
But I want to be dommed by her.
What is wrong with me???
So Waver and Gray are protagonists all the way in this, right?
Not bait and switch like Apocrypha did with Shishigo and Mordred?
Why isn't FGO NA getting free quartz because of this?
Unfortunately, yes.
Reines is the MC of second volume. So yes it does switch. But I'm sure the arc they are adapting is standard Grey being the PoV.
Because they are fucking incompetent retards and Reines won't even be in game for 2 more years?
YES! MAKE ME YOUR PLAYTHING, REINES-SAMA!!
>Unfortunately
How so?
Gray is cute and Waver seems based unlike cardboards Jikku and Jeannu.
She is true femdom not a fake one. She legit tortured people to death and enjoys suffering. She is actually far worse than her brother was.
Why is everyone in nasuverse either an autist or a terrible person?
Because all magi are either autists or horrible people.
Which channel is Case Files airing on anyway? Will the usual places work?
Tokyo MX
Take your pick:
TOKYO MX・とちぎテレビ・群馬テレビ・BS11・Abema TV
If you want to reach the Root you need to be autistic. And if you are from a great magi family you will 99% of the time turn out to be a complete asshole with zero regard for human life.
Also a reminder that proper magi women are turbo sluts who milk men for semen like cows.
Hey, Rin is a normal girl.
Mages, duh.
All insane crackheads.
Thank FGO
She has no problem with killing.
While Rin isn't entirely normal, she had the benefit of having her parents die while she was young, especially her shitty father, and having Kirei be a model on how not to be.
>"This finger goes up your urethra."
God I want her to torture me.
No, that was Eri Itou, but Kajiura sang Pugna cum maga.
Speaking of FGO, it's interesting that Waver is like the only character from the main Fate works who stayed relevant and/or wasn't played off as a joke/has his character ruined.
>OG Seibah ---> Literally who? While her big tits version get her own singularity and her april fool version get her own event that branch off into its own little sub-plot or just joke events like summer
>Rin---> A bunch of servants use her as the vessel and it's totally because they are compatible as her so they happen to share her personalities; very obviously just there to shoehorn in old FSN cast
>Sakura ---> similar deal
>Shirou ---> similar deal with Muramasa
>Waver ---> actually him since Zhuge Liang does fuck all, has his own event that isn't just jokes and adds to his characterization, even the twitter april fool event managed to create a poignant send-off between him and Keyneth
Flashback trip?
Based on the PV + images then it seems like ep 1 is about Waver after the HGW/before being kidnapped by Reines
I hope we get doujins of Reine being raped
What channel it'll air
>literally made her Rider Sima Yi just because Waver is Caster Zhuge Liang
It's Urobuchi's idea isn't it?
Of course we will.
See this pic
*Reines raping*
So chinese stream for this one?
5 mins
get in here niggas
Where?
neet
Stream link. Now.
Neetball is offline
Works on Edge
Edge? Site? Streamer?
The browser my lad.
They just put the scene where Waver asks Melvin to pay him the travel to Japan.
I can understand shit, come on why exactly did the dude kidnapped him?
>DT捨てたのか
kek
Did Melvin just ask him if he wasn't a virgin anymore
wtf
Holy crap
This is skipping a few vols, right? Is there translations or at least summaries for the LN? I know almost everything TM is cursed when it comes to LN translations
Yeah, but this episode is anime original for anime onlies so they don't get lost.
Volume 1 and 2 are fully translated, 3 is ongoing
First two volumes are translated 3rd one is halfway through. And anime is adapting volumes 4-5 + original stuff.
Is it just 1 and 2 being skipped?
Wow, Waver's ACTUALLY so shitty a magus he actually can't break a simple magical binding. I thought there was something special about the guy's Magic Eyes, but... there isn't.
yep, this is the Waver I know.
His entire point is being talentless as fuck but being a top tier teacher.
he is good at knowledge about magecraft, not magecraft itself.
>this is the face of an evil murderer
he is though, just not brute force power.
His circuits are absolutely horrible.
Can I watch this if i've watched/read every fate except zero?
Watch Zero first.
yes, fsn spoils zero anyway.
Onii-chan
>Thing that came first spoils the prequel
big HMMM
They actually explained pretty well the whole situation with what happened to Waver since Zero in a single episode.
? yea?
Already advertising BDs and soundtrack.
Is this normal?
I believe the adaptation starts volume 4
They already announced BD and OST back in the prescreening though (27th or 29th June)
Since the OST comes with the BD, yeah.
now
God reines is so cute
I see.
Well, that was fun
subs to actually understand what went on when
First bunch of episodes will be anime original (like this one) to explain everything to anime onlies.
>Shirou could probably beat her due to his convenient ability to sense danger
Is this where Archer's Mind's Eye comes from?
In 1 hour.
Built for sex
I guess no OP sequence yet
Why couldn't they make Waver kakkoi?
END
Touko in Case Files is kind of crazy. She can make runes that create other runes, she can make a 3D Cat Monster that attacks in all directions and other crazy stuff like that.
And if her body dies, the divine beast level tentacle monster inside her activates and literally eats the one who killed her.
Best gitl
my sister wife
She's 149cm if anyone's curious.
>Shirou
>beat Touko
Dude you are insane. Even if he somehow dropped on her without her dolls around (yeah, sure) she still won't die when killed and will just come back to rape his ass.
Case files is great. It gave me KnK vibes
That shot with the 12 Lords is cool.
too small for sex
Cute modern saber
Wonderful.
Well, yeah. That's normal Touko.
Cutest little pudding.
Holy shit, and people were arguing she's not a loli.
Does waver or the flat's faggot friend bang her later novelbros?
You mean perfect
I don't like Sieg and I've never liked Waver. And Grey is the most boring Saberface.
Even more with the contingency measure she developed in Case if someone kills her.
She literally says that she made that to make sure this never happens again.
Reminder that magi women eat semen and Reines is a 100% noble magi so she absolutely did it too. She's probably not even a virgin already.
W-where are my GRAY WEBMS or GIFS
WAS SHE CUTE IN THIS EP
Oh yeah, that line kind of confirms that Kara no Kyoukai happened in the FSN timeline, one way or another.
She had like 3 seconds screentime this episode.
>And Grey is the most boring Saberface
Nobody is more boring than OG Artoria.
>W-where are my GRAY WEBMS or GIFS
>WAS SHE CUTE IN THIS EP
Wait until next episode
Do I have to suffer those twin blond faggots all the time?
They aren't even twins.
Fine, those two blond faggots, how prominent are they.
They will only appear in the original content, the same goes for Reines
No. They don't even appear much.
A more mature and experienced Shirou would beat her. Eye of the Mind (True) B is nothing to scoff at. At the end of the day, Touko's an amateur. Even if she comes back, he'd still beat her.
It's like how Shiki, despite not training for ten years, is still able to defeat Nrvnqsr with just a unique ability and talent. Nrvnqsr's been on this Earth for many times Shiki's lifespan, with all the experience that comes with it, but talent and a unique power can unravel all of that. And Shirou has talent, at least enough to avoid being killed by mythical heroes. A convenient ability to sense danger, exceptional adaptability and the power to replicate Noble Phantasms. His kit is designed exclusively for killing.
They are main characters, just not in the big case this is adapting.
which blond faggots
They are El Mellon's muscle basically. Help from time to time but are not really major characters.
And Reines thinks they are super annoying and contemplated killing them a couple of times. But they are just too useful for her faction.
So destroy that too. It won't survive getting hit by a Noble Phantasm.
>Reines
So what's her relationship with Velvet? Does she likes him / respects him or only tolerates him because he's temporary useful to her?
>willingly watching garbage with boring magi and no servants
Nope. Simply not happening. Scenarios in FSN were ultra special cases where he either had Rin's mana or servant parts. Normal Shirou is nothing great. He could become a mage killer like Kiri was, but he would never be able to touch the likes of Touko.
based
She's his fiancee
I think she has some fondness for him, but mostly he's a tool. She likes Grey the most.
Eye of the Mind is not an instinct, it's just a battle formula to follow a plan. Anyway, Touko is not an amateur at fighting, in Mahoyo it's said she has a lot of battle experience and even defeated an Elder Title DAA.
And if we are talking about Case Files Touko, she basically has contingecies for almost everything. She is a Grand tier mage for a reason. Kara no Kyoukai Touko was retconned to death.
Shirou can only do that if he has a pact with the world or Rin backing him though. Also, if he is close it would eat him just instantly. Also Shirou can't just project a super powerful NP in a split second, it takes time as he points many times in the VN.
>dude servants!
Fuck off a and die.
Calm down those shitposting boners, you have Babylon in the next 3 months
She definitely likes Waver, her inner narration says it in the second arc. She finds him shining.
KnK Touko was the lowest point for her basically.
>no servants
About that, just wait.
A couple Noble Phantasms easily tore through Medea's barrier. How many modern magi do you think would be able to guard against rapidfire NPs? These are literally crystallized myths. Caliburn alone has more mystery contained in it than all of Touko's lifetime achievements. If he fires a Noble Phantasm at her, her only hope is to try and dodge because there's no way she's blocking that.
She is a bit amazed how he can keep his sanity and morals despite living in the middle of CT politics.
Is shirou and rin gonna appear in clock tower
Nigga he instantly projected new swords every time Archer broke them. He only has that problem in HF, where the sequence is tougher due to the extra hoops he needs to jump through. Firing off a few NPs isn't hard.
Word of god says Shirou would just get to a Kerry level. He would be a good specialist but would only beat the heavy hitters under good circumstances.
What Shirou did at the end of UBW is not what Shirou would normally be able to do. As Nasu said, that fight against Gilgamesh was basically the highest point in Shirou life. In the Anime and RN version, Rin even had to discard her entire crest to make that possible.
So basically despite being a shitty person she's an ally of Velvet and Gray in this story?
Doesn't change the fact that the entire cast is lame. Even Chaldea is better and its composed of two fat guys, mash, loli davinci, some boring chick with glasses, a shota, the great armchair detective, and the Chad Savior of Humanity who everyone is trying to say is A BAD GUY when the world is being invaded by timelines that all inevitably end with an explosion.
For the starters he can't even spam NP's with his own mana.
Shit taste. He's a faggot.
Against a very depowered Archer and those were basically shitty knockoffs. The whole point of that battle against Archer is that it was a battle of determination, not a battle of powerlevels.
>Shirou pulled out the sword in the stone
Yikes. No wonder the best Shirou is most likely to become a hero.
>waver
no, he's gae
>svin
no
She's an ally because they are very valuable assets to her.
The fight against Archer was before he made that pact. If he can at least do that much, he'd still win.
He just needs two sword: One to strike Touko and another to destroy the contingency. Touko has no defenses against a Noble Phantasm. His offense is solid.
>A couple Noble Phantasms easily tore through Medea's barrier
That was Gil, Archer needed to use a charged Caladbolg to do the same.
Cringe
>Even Chaldea is better
Ebin bait dude.
I mean in a sense that she isn't secretly plotting against them all this time.
That'd be kinda dumb.
Church cellar. He used a simple swordrain to kill her.
DUDE EF GEEE OOH
And she never blocked that and was distracted. And Archer is not Shirou.
A Noble Phantasm is a Noble Phantasm. Fire one off and aim well. You don't need more than that to kill a human magus. There's no shield that can block that.
Shirou can't make powerful NPs on his own. He can just make imitations. He would have chances to win because he is a Kerry type, but at that level he would not be able to pull the big guns. He would have to fight smart against someone who is a better mage than him and also fights by being smart.
Again, we have a very clear Word of God about all this. Whoever thinks Shirou is some kind of beast who would topple the entire mage world is just wrong and was never the author's intention.
But a pretty handsome faggot
You have no fucking idea how UBW works.
Whatever you say Iskandar
>A Noble Phantasm is a Noble Phantasm
No it's not. You need to feed it enough mana to work. Shirou without special bullshit like Rin's crest won't be able to fully power even the weakest NPs.
He can't do that without Rin or a pact.
Obviously you know better than the author.
Seriously fuck off, you will never admit to being wrong anyways.
Since people are dumping Type-Moon lore in this thread, can anyone explain to me two thing?
What exactly is the Reverse Side of the World? Because from what I understand it's a dumping ground for all the bygone mystical and mythological crap that happened in the world's past that are too powerful to reside in the current world. But what I want to know is what is happening there? Are they living 'normal' lives there or something?
Second, what are Foreigners or Outer Gods in Type-Moon universe?
Reverse side of the world is where jannu takes dragon cock
>what are Foreigners or Outer Gods in Type-Moon universe?
Literally aliens.
UBW perfectly records any sword Shirou sees into his internal world. When he projects a sword, he overlays his internal blueprint onto reality. His projected weapons are near perfect. His Kanshpu and Bakuya, his Caliburn, all are near perfect recreations. He just needs to project it and shoot it.
>Second, what are Foreigners or Outer Gods in Type-Moon universe?
Basically eldritch stuff. Foreigners are vessels for outer gods which one example is Cthulhu which resides inside Katsushika Oi which is why she is foreigner.
>And if her body dies, the divine beast level tentacle monster inside her activates and literally eats the one who killed her.
Is that what happened in one of the KnK movies? I remember her being crushed by the top-hat wearing faggot and then just being like "doesn't count" and raping him.
The blueprint is perfect yeah, but he needs the actual magical energy to properly replicate the materials and the functions of the weapons. That's where he falls short without backup.
The otherworld in the Reverse Side of the World are Avalon, Tír na nÓg and all those magical places. It would be a place where human's can't live full of bygone fairies and creatures yeah.
The Outer Gods are beings that exist outside of the universe and human understanding.
BRUH
>divine beast level
You're actually comparing that shit to a sphynx or one of Tiamat's offspring? Are you for real?
>But what I want to know is what is happening there? Are they living 'normal' lives there or something?
Yeah, kind of ? Like isn't Avalon aka the inner sea of the planet a part of Reverse Side ? True Ancestors like Yu Miaoyi are created by Gaia in the inner sea too, this is also the place where fairies and Lady of the Lake forged Excalibur (iirc Balmung and/or Gram were created in here btw)
Pretty good anime original. They set it up nicely for the F/Z casuals. I'm looking forward to next week when it digs into the novel for real.
His Caliburn sliced off Herakles' arm. His Kanshou and Bakuya deflected Archer's sword rain.
I mean, that's what they say in Case Files yeah. It could be an exaggeration, but even the japanese fans were kind of what the fuck, they just said 神獣?
Probably just mimicks the appearance. Or the author's a moron.
Caliburn was only in his mind all the time because of his contract to Saber. Also it was against an occupied Herc who wasn't even looking at him. And the sword broke after the swing.
isn't the first half supposed to be all anime original?
Or Touko found a bona fide ancient demon and put it into a box. I mean, this is Touko, she recovered the Primordial Runes and basically made runes relevant again in the magical world.
>Fionn:
>No no no. The Land of Eternal Youth (furigana: Tír na nÓg) is place where fairies live, but it's not an otherworld, Diarmuid.
>The world of faries... fairyland is this planet's dream, something akin to a reality marble.
>It has beautiful dreams and evil dreams. It would seem these dreams decide a fairy's disposition.
Shit that much? It's supposed to adapt volumes 4-5. That seems like way too much anime original. I thought it was just going to sprinkle some anime original here and there for background purposes.
>what if we make Fate but without fights and servants
Boring
Fall can't come soon enough
The next episode at the very least is still anime original.
This thread is pretty cool and it seems like a lot of people here actually like Fate as opposed to just wanking to waifus (I know people wank to Reines because that's allowed)
Does anyone have that pasta about Achilles fighting Cu inside Chaldea? It was really fucking good for a fanfic and I can't find it anywhere.
It cut through God Hand which was always active. He can also create a Rho Aius that can deflect Archer's Hrunting.
His circuit is tailor-made to produce sword. As long as it's not a holy weapon or god-forged, he can reproduce any sword. As long as it's a sword, he can do it easily, especially with more practice. Emiya Shirou's body is a circuit that exists exclusively to create swords.
Next episode will be an anime original about some kind of case related to astrology.
Does that mean the Reverse Side of the World still exists even in a future world where mysticism disappeared (like Notes)? Because I'm wondering if that place is accessible through technology and what the consequences of having a passage to that world would be.
There's no real point in calling it Fate. There's a Seibah and Waver, otherwise it's mostly Mage association stuff. This is what the Nasuverse SHOULD have been focusing on point Stay/Night instead of the endless grail wars
By Shirabii (illustrator of Tomoe in FGO)
In Notes the planet died, so all the stuff buried under the human texture (like the Reverse Side and the Inner Sea of the Planet) would be gone too.
There are Servants though. And that gets actually relevant in the case this is adapting, same with the final one.
It's a dead end anyway. It's probably a Lostbelt.
He can create them sure. But he can't power them.
She is so wonderful holy shit. Can't wait for doujins.
KnK is still the best selling T-M anime ever made.
>Because I'm wondering if that place is accessible through technology and what the consequences of having a passage to that world would be.
Maybe this stuff will be explained in further FGO main story since the current Chaldea base is in the Wandering Sea, and about it
>The Wandering Sea is located in a Texture of the world between the world of man and the Reverse Side of the World. Most of this texture is composed entirely of ocean, with the exception of the island that the organization uses as a base, which is a submersible landmass capable of moving around the world.
I mean, Case Files is 1/ in the same timeline with FSN and 2/listed as a part of Fate franchise and 3/it only explains stuff that happen in Fate Worlds and 4/features a servant - master pair
For fuck's sake, a Noble Phantasm on its own already has power. He fucking chopped off Berserker's arm.
How the fuck is there a Servant with no Holy Grail?
pastebin.com
Heh...?
I would call it bullshit if it was another person, but this is Touko. She already dabbled into AoG stuff with the runes, she basically made a perfect copy of herself using a dead branch of magecraft (puppetry lacks most of its mystery), she created a perpetual motion machine made of curses. Doing shit that makes no sense for the modern mage world is her whole thing.
Is this licensed?
Should I be waiting for subs?
HOW is this person getting paid money to be an artist?
Pretty much guaranteed since she made it into FGO. Already have tons of lewd art
it's out on hs
Understandable, though I was more interested in if the second statement was possible, in a living world devoid of mysticism.
Rather than just FGO, it would make for an interesting new series that's set in the far future, a future tech world rediscovering their lost mystical past in the Reverse Side where all the monsters, gods and all the other mystical crap reside.
Not even the worst art in FGO.
There is one, just look at Fuyuki. Heartless basically hijacks Waver's Master rights.
It's on Crunchyroll.
Da Vinci and Galahad were summoned by FATE system without the Holy Grail, no ?
And about Case Files, that servant was summoned based by the Fuyuki HGW system after the master did some shit with it. That part in the LN hasn't been translated yet though.
His Case Files Manga art is pretty decent actually.
Subs are out already.
That Grail should be gone.
At least her Anniversary looks a bit better
You can go search his illustrations for Case Files manga as well as Qin Shi Huang in FGO, only Astraea Luvia got fucked up
>[HorribleSubs] Lord El-Melloi II Case Files - 01 [1080p]
Not at this point, Case Files happens before FSN starts. The very last arc occurs meanwhile the Fifth War is starting, and the whole plot revolves around that fact.
As a very broad explanation, basically this
I'll just wait for Babylonia, the real Fate sequel
So what, there were NINE Masters during Fate? What, was the series selling poorly so they needed to pull this shit to save it?
>male Guda
Fuck off.
Not really, it's not a real Master nor a real Servant anyway. It's basically just a step of the plan of the last boss, the kind of plot that develops from the very first volume to the last.
Cope
Given this ends at the very moment Shirou summons Saber, no.
Define "real" Servant. Even a folklore hero kneaded into udon dough apparently qualifies as a Servant.
Fuck I really need to get out of these threads before I finish the novels. Not really any real spoilers here, but I prefer not knowing shit.
Oh, it already ended?
I want to self-insert as Gudako, not this trash.
Faker class.
>giving a shit about FGO events especially a literal joke one
Fuck you, I won't let you talk about Bunyan that way.
reminder that Angra did literally nothing and is still a servant that can be summoned even if nothing of his original self remains in the throne
Yeah, last volume was released back in May. It had a satisfactory ending too, but this will probably be a setup for the whole dismantling war (in the case they write that in the future.)
I expected more secondary's autism but i only see /fgog/ falseflagging.
The anime will cover it.
This thread needs more Nero
Consider the fact that unless you follow Fate/TM the odds of you knowing about this anime is low considering the title gives no direct connection.
Wait for Fall, this doesn't have Fate in the title
>reminder that Angra did literally nothing
He fucked Caren before me.
Is this pretty different from the manga?
chink emperor also looks like abomination
oh and amadeus as well
Amadeus wasn't by Toh Azuma.
This is skipping the two first cases, unlike the manga. This is also an original episode to fill details to anime onlies.
If you actually paid attention, you would know this that Faith Magic world is actually extremely similar to d&d. The reverse side of the world will be the outer planes / inner planes anyway. Outside the world, outside the main material plane
Oh nice, that arab astrologer guy is still relevant.
Imagine she brings along the Ritsuka from this timeline for memes
Fate not faith
How experienced is she with sex?
alright let's clear up one thing for those who do not understand. Shirou has piss-poor magic energy. To put it into perspective, find literally has 200 times more magic energy than he does.
(Of course, she has one of the top 100 magic output on the planet)
Done watching. It wanks F/Z a bit much but that's forgivable given it's a part of the setup.
I kinda loved it.
0% There is not much time for sex when you have to avoid being killed on a daily basis.
Most people who watch one are watching the other.
More interested in the Yuki Kajiura soundtrack over anything else.
Seems from what we've got in Episode 0 and the FGO story is that she isn't phoning it in, which is good.
Good to get new stuff out of her considering that she pretty much only did five songs for Kimetsu no Yaiba and they stopped being played after one episode.

It's a fucking projection.
The magic energy in the fucking thing comes from him
Very, but only with one man (me).
The magical energy in Caliburn is several times higher than what he actually possesses. The reason he can create it is due to his Reality Marble, which bends the rules through a loophole.
It's not like you need the Holy Grail to summon a servant.
strictly speaking, the servants summoning itself is not third magic. It's similar but no cigar. It's still mage crafts and thus can be copied imitated and performed. Heck it's just higher tier Spirit summoning magecraft
Summoning is a major part of the magic institute
I've always thought that everything related to the Tokeito was the best part of Fate, including the bizarre fucking way the magic is handled - especially shit we've seen in KnK. I'm really fucking glad they're finally capitalizing on the best part of the setting.
The supporting cast for Babylon is kinda shit and it's going to jerk off Gil so fucking much it will get tiring, I'm way more hyped for the Camelot movie.
How the fuck is the plot of the first episode that this guy thinks Alexander the Great is buried in Babylon, or that Waver believes it? Alexander the Great's body is in Alexandria, except for the nose Octavian accidentally broke off.
Isn't Reines already a cumslut for (You) in FGO?
IIRC dont you need the grail to act as a medium or something? I bet there would be plenty of servant summons outside the holy grail wars if you could do it.
Yeah, but you know... timelines, servants are copies and all that shit.
Without servants, typemoon is just your everyday generic edgy magic series.
Type moon is already pretty generic, it's just that some generic stuff really takes off anyways
This
Fuck no, and you know it
The grail is just a bullshit powerful medium. With a shit ton of magic energy. Actually summoning does not need the Grail.
in fact, there's that other Fate series fate Requiem where everyone and their mother can summon a servant.
remember, spirits servants hero spirits so on and so forth. They fall under the category of magical familiars.
These high-level mage craft that leads into the realms of magic do not come out of thin air. There's a basis for them in the first place.
>muh lesbian and Riyo memes
They're both shit, cope you self inserter
user with some good fucking taste
wasnt there some bit about how you needed the grail for command seals or something? Even a low tier servant pretty much blows anything most mages can do out of the water, if you can just summon them as a body guard or to assassinate a rival it would be pretty silly.
WTF this takes place several months after the Fuyuki war in 1994.
She is such a semen demon
Gudako is better so you can imagine fucking her alongside the servants
>start watching
>turns out it's fateshit
Can he even speak Arabic?
Calm down my beating boner.
You call it generic but I doubt you can name 5
Maybe it isn't in Alexandria in Fate reality
it's magecraft
Low quality bait
WE NARUTO NOW
doesn't Gil's Uruk predate Akkadian Babylonia by like 2000 years? why did Waver think he was involved somehow?
Reines is love
Reines is life
I wanna impregnate reines
...and then I joined Al-Qaeda. Wait...
And where do you think the command seals came from? They were specifically designed by mages
hell, everything from the summoning system to the Grail to the command seals is artificially created. Nothing exist without a reason
Just have sex.
>being gay
>going back to Sadam's Iraq after UK studies
HE CRAZY
Is this Keiji Fujiwara or just someone doing a really good Keiji Fujiwara impression?
so...why does nobody appear to summon servants outside of the holy grail wars? It would be a huge advantage if you could summon additional servants outside holy grail wars. Get trusted retainers or whoever to summon extra servants and enter the war with you. Since their servants arent part of the war, you dont need them to die either.
>I have AIDS
Ishtar and Ereshkigal are literally just different facets of Rin
Because the cost in mana is paid by the grail, not the mages. It's too much without the assistance of the grail.
>entering the imaginary number space.
>AKA entering the warp
nasuverse is going 40k now
Gulf war?
I bet she's reading porn
No, she became unable to die because of what her realm and feats became conceptually.
>Both Gray and Reines want Waver's dick
>"No way fag"
Disappointing.
First Mana cost, second, the whole secrecy thing between mages. Unlike other stories, knowledge is tantamount to power in this world. Not all magic is widespread. Just because you know something exists doesn't mean you know how to do it. And mages guard their secrets with a ferocity.
On the surface spells cast by two different mages may look exactly the same. But under the surface they may be so different and completely unrecognizable to each other.
Like one guy creating fire by uniting oxygen in the air, the other guy creates fire by starting a mini nuclear fusion reaction
Gray is mine, hands off!
Waver is the bottom.
well yeah, waver is gae and a bottom at that
...
AND DROPPED
You mean you don't pay your debts user?
Did you even play the game Yea Forumsnon? she was possesed and wasn't even 100% and second, Cu wasn't only one fighting her...
Debt bondage fetishisation in anime makes me puke.
Plus Waver is by no means indebted - Kayneth died cause he was a retard. It's just a shitty, contrived way to set up the plot. I haven't read the novel, but right off the bat I can tell it's shit and the writer is a hack.
I mean sure Waver could just say that he doesn't owe Reines anything but that would likely have a rather severe impact on his physical wellbeing
