So is this actually good and worth watching, or is it just edgy trash like elfen lied?

read the interactive visual entertainment with music and sound novel

the vn will make you quit 4channel

What makes the VAN so much better?

Those overly long SoL parts killed it for me. The anime isn't anywhere near as spooky, but at least it doesn't bore you to death.

It's good. The seasons have an order though

Satoko needs to be protected.

edgy trash.
less trash than elfen lied, but elfen lied had an amazing soundtrack

>OP resolution
Holy shit nigger, what are you doing?

Source VNs are always better. Name one exception

VNs are usually much, much, longer than they should be.
Tons of useless dialog just to fill hours of nothing.

Read the manga instead. The anime really left out great info and details and turned an originally tragic story arc into a cheap slasher flick.

I would only recommend watching it to hear the voices so that you can imagine them when reading as well as the soundtrack.

Onikakushi-hen - watch the anime
Watanagashi-hen - read the manga
Tatarigoroshi-hen - read the VN
Himatsubushi-hen - anything goes
Meakashi-hen - read the manga
Tsumihoroboshi-hen - watch the anime
The rest idk, I've only read the manga and watched the anime from there on.

Ryukishi can't draw worth shit. The source artwork is pure cancer.

it's one of the best shows i've seen in this mediocre, disgusting, pandering medium.

The anime feels like its on 10x speedup compared to the vns

read the VN

retard

No, he's actually right. OP is a request tier fag.

it’s good, but read the VN so you get to hear the OST. Makes it 1000x better.

OP may be a fag but it's still not a recommendation thread.

>So is this actually good and worth watching?
I'm not sure in what dimension you live in to not interpret this as a request for recommendations. It's not the kind of reckless rec you expect, but it's still a rec.

>a request for recommendations
How the fuck do you interpret it as that? Plural, even? A rec thread is "I like x and y, pls recommend a couple of series to watch". This is clearly just a Higurashi thread, even if OP is asking how it is.

It's my #1.
