Do you agree?

>Gintama is no. 1
As it should be.

What does Arakawa do these days?

it should have ended least 200 chapters ago, maybe then he would be 1

Why do Japan still love Tokyo Ghoul...? Even after the clusterfuck it become?

Silver Spoon is on hiatus to take care of relatives, she still puts out a chapter of Arslan most months.

Do I agree that those are Japan's most beloved mangaka? Sure, yeah.

How the hell did Asagiri get 9th place? I find it hard to believe this is the work of fujos alone.

>gintama
>conan
>one piece
>tokyo ghoul
>fma
>naruto
>bungo what the fuck is that
>aot
What a trash list. Not a single mangaka that actually deserves to be beloved. Why oh why does Japan like Shitama so much? It's the worst comedy manga I've ever read. Just pure shit

WTF the one girl is literally named Kafka.

Nips have terrible taste as usual

It's obviously a poll taken by WSJ readers or something. Dumb 8-12 year olds

calm down franz

It's a pen name. Author is a massive Wikipedia bookworm.

I find it weird too. BSD is the most obscure of all those series (except maybe RIN-NE but everyone knows Takahashi anyway)

I guess it's popular enough to get 3 seasons, an OVA, and a movie in only 3 years, so I guess it may be more popular than expected.

I'm surprised Togashi made the list. Obviously Oda, Aoyama, and Kishimoto would be super popular, but I'd think the japs wouldn't have the attention span to care about HxH 8 months into hiatus.
What surprises me the most is Asagiri. I don't know why, but I was under the impression that Bunghole Stray Dogs was only popular in the West. Guess I was wrong. But I've yet to see the appeal of it all the same.

asagiri kafka, just why?

>I was under the impression that Bunghole Stray Dogs was only popular in the West.

Isn't it the opposite? It's a literally-who tier series outside of Japan, but a massive fujo-phenomenon there.

>surprised HxH is beloved
If it wasn't it would have been cancelled. Also unlike like similar constant hiatus series like Berserk, it just gets better written with every arc. You can grow up with HxH while you can't with Berserk. Berserk's writing actually regressed to being more infantile

Takahashi is still going? Jesus, what is she, like in her 80s by now?

But is it big enough to warrant s4? Bones wouldn't let such a beloved series die, right?

Attached: dos.gif (540x304, 2.41M)

Probably. The world needs moar Kyouka

Takahashi, Togashi and arguably Arakawa are the only good ones among the trash. Everyone else are either one hit wonders who refuse to let their manga die knowing full well they'll be forgotten after that, or are unsuccessfully trying to use their previous popularity to promote their new garbage.
Biggest examples of this are Kubo and the two faggots who made Death Note and fucked up with Platinum End.

No Tori, no Hori, no Fuji, no Ali.

Shit list.

1/10 because I responded

61, and probably looks younger than you do.

Ok. Not bad. Not that I care.

no

I thought JoJo was like common knowledge in Japan? Something that even people who don't read manga or watch anime have heard of?
How come Araki isn't here? He even has an actual personality.

He's like 16th place.

>kafka asagiri
bsd is actually huge in Japan? Makes me really happy

>Togashi not no.1

But Yea Forums told he's the most revered and all that.

Sounds about right but i'm surprised anyone is still fan of Togashi.

where's my Miura-tan?

maybe if he followed a regular schedule

>Miura-tan
Who?

Hunerfags BTFO

>Rinne
Of all Rumiko Takahashi series they picked this?

based ishida, can't wait for his next series

titanfags BTFO

Mitsuru Adachi is 68 and still going strong

>Bungo Stray Dogs
>Is a series about authors and powers based on authors but No Longer Human isn't the werewolf skill
Horrible misnaming if I do say so myself.

Speaking of Platinum End, I can't believe they fucked up that badly. Like they decided to go against their own advice in Bakuman

What does NLH have to do with werewolves?

Editors probably gave them creative freedom because they obviously know so much about manga they made a manga about getting published in Jump.
Turns out DN was a fluke, who would have thought. Fucking hacks.

>No Toriyama
Good to see Japs have some heap of standards.

It's Japan. I have no say

SEETHING

>no Araki
Shit list. Sorachi is great though.

>Like they decided to go against their own advice in Bakuman
What the fuck happened? I stopped reading around the time the kid showed himself, but I planned to continue reading it eventually.

Dragonball is more popular in the West than in its home country. The Broly Movie earned most of its money overseas.

Dragonball in Japan peaked in the 90s.

If the authors had some self-respect, they should have ended the manga by now

I was going to post the same thing but it was already the first post. Great job user

I remember Toriyama saying in an interview that a lot of new artists base their works off of manga or anime they've read.

And how is that related to PE sales chart?

A lot of Jump Manga Sales are on the decline because less kids are reading them, and more adults are getting into it.

>shounenshit
>shounenshit
>shounenshit
>shounenshit
Yeah, fuck japan, fuck the west, anime and mango is dead

lmao did you start watching anime yesterday?

Slice of Life and Youth Drama are the only two genres with good writing nowadays.

his novel has nothing to do with wolves.

Damn

>No kubo
list

Attached: Screenshot_64.png (334x333, 199K)

>no harem or romcoms
that list is shit

>maybe then he would be 1
But he is #1 anyway.

Silver Spoon (Arakawa) is basically a romcom at this point and Takahashi was known for that shit.

holy shit, how based can Rumiko Takahashi be. I don't even like her works that much, but not only she's still working at this age, but she has lots of successful manga while shounenfags still suck Togashi's dick for merely having two, and she still appears in mangaka popularity polls. It's honestly amazing.

SASUGA GORILLA

It's not even representative of people in Japan just the people that took part in the survey where.

Only reason masashi is famous for is, how easily iconic it's mc is to weeaboos and westerners compared to any modern day shonen hero.

Regardless of what you think of his work, Isamaya definitely isn’t stretching his manga any longer than it needs to be.

He's only on this list because he is so beloved.

>shonenshitter the list
reading manga is a kiddie hobby

I think HxH's hiatuses are pretty unforgivable, to be honest. It honestly disgusts me. Even if the author has poor health, he should just end it already then. Constantly taking multiple months off in a row is absolutely irredeemable.

Never married, will die a virgin

can't get bad if you don't write anything

Detective Conan is a romcom murder mystery series according to its mangaka.

>Never married, will die a virgin
She'll be the richest virgin then. She's wealthier by far than Miyazaki since she was astute and connected enough to form and control companies to create and sell merchandise for her IP products. Nowadays, authors sign away their IP to be controlled by an IP management firm. Sales of anime and the merchandise associated with the anime usually only gives a small amount to the original author unlike with Rumiko Takahashi.

Also doesn't have anything to do with negating powers but here we are.
At least if you used No Longer Human for a WOLFman, you could be making a pun.

Sorachi is a joy to his fans and very engaging and open. It makes sense that he tops the list.

You do realize that this is about mangaka and not their series, right? Prince is probably one of the greatest singers of all time, but he was known to be insufferable on most days and reclusive on others. In comparison, Bon Jovi doesn't have the same repertoire or capacity despite being a big name, but he's a joy for people to meet and casually talk to. Get some reading comprehension, you idiot.

Arakawa and Takahashi are there and that's all that really matters.

And even so, the Gintama manga not even sold 200, 000 copies in its last volumes.
There is a site where are made many of these polls where always win Gintama characters or something Gintama related, it's obviously biased, I doubt it represents the general Japanese opinion

You know, it's clearly not necessary to be married to have sex

No Watsuki Nobuhiro?

>Kafka side to side with Ishida
coincidence?

>Bungo stray dogs is on top 10
It's retarded.

>Kafka
Hol up.

She just started her new weekly series a couple months ago. She's been putting out chapters every week for the past 41 years.

The power of fujo should never be under estimated.

Because JoJo manga peaked years ago. You western anime only cucks need to know your line.
