I think it is nice that Denji is questioning his humanity, but the Pochita larping theory is a bit too much. In a way, he was not a human before the start of the story: dead mother, father killed himself, endless debt. No future, no prospects, and no people to get attached. He had no one except Pochita. Maybe he has not lost his humanity, maybe he is developing it.
Or maybe he will keep on being the same till the end, leaving the character development to the other characters.

I just realized that what Master said about the best devil hunters being nutjobs was foreshadowing this. I thought it was just a one-off thing to build up Denji's relevance in the team, but the author actually went all out and killed off most of the normies among the Devil Hunters and ejected the one last sane guy.
Now we have 2 psycho devils lacking empathy, a psychologically scarred Aki and Kobeni who was never quite stable to begin with.

Man when this manga started I was a bit worried for Fujimoto because the setting looked a bit bland (FP had such a great start). But right now it's so fucking good, characters pacing everything just flows so well. Hopefully it's selling good too, it deserves it.

Seeing as it doesn't actually cost anything unless you use it it's a pretty good deal. Anything you can just stab to death you'll just stab, if it's too strong for that or Fox you're probably dead anyway, so only losing a few years instead of everything is a bargain.

Kobeni - high pitched and quavery

In Fire Punch, it has always been about a teenage boy having to live the roles people give him until someone out there loves him enough to set him free from it. I don't think this is Pochita pretending to be Denji (there will definitely be a later point where Denji considers this idea) but this story will be similar to Parasyte in regards to what it means to be human and whether or not he is human after all.
The perspective gives him a bit of boost here though since he's closer to the viewer than that edge of the door, it's probably more like 6' or 5'10.
