Adult slice of life is such an underrepresented genre. The handful that are out there are great but I want more. More dragon maid, more Wotakoi, heck I'd kill for an Okusan anime.

There's no significant difference between school SoL and adult SoL.

This.

It's not like it will make any difference since they will still act like teenagers.

Anime when?

I'd actually argue school SoL has more value on average. At the very least, most of them roll into some finale that touches on whatever tried adolescent theme. Adult SoL is usually just going through motions all the way through and doesn't really have much going for it except that you watch along, nod once in awhile and go "yeah I get that".

>Adult SoL is usually just going through motions all the way through and doesn't really have much going for it
Because that's what adult life is like.

>Going through the motions

How many times have you seen a school festival. is right, there's no real difference. But high school is getting stale for me. I want adults to deal with adult problems.

>I want adults to deal with adult problems.
Holy shit why do you want that don't you have enough?

Attached: 1530927560654.jpg (917x838, 258K)

Because of relatability. I care more about Retsuko dealing with making a family than some spikey hair teen who doesn't know if a girl likes him.

Normalfag

How DARE you.

... Why am I so offended by that...

Case in point.

Because adults watch anime to escape, not remind them of the droll.

Man, Servant x Service was really good

But don't you get a bit tired of the same high school halls, the same school festival, the same 'I don't know how to process my feelings for someone so I'll hide it'? I'm not saying it all had to be workplace comedy; okusan is fairly one note but it's still a comfy manga about being a housewife, bartender is great even though it's just about being a bartender, skull face Honda-San is cathartic to see workplace insanity get solved on the fly. I just want to see more adults who understand who they are.
It was so good! That whole bit about her name is great.

High school/college was a pain as well though.

Seriously fuck japs and fuck their fucking high school animes and fuck their isekai animes
Imagine they could make something actually good yet they keep on remaking the same old shit over and over and over again
fuck japan and fuck japs

Don't blame japanese people, blame capitalism. Interesting and different ideas don't make that fuckin' cheddar that the avengers or SAO makes.

SoL but it's set in a government office instead of a student council
wow so original and different

>Adult slice of life
Japan adults have no life outside of work.

See

Everyone becomes a normalfag eventually.

I would fuckin choke on uramichi onisans dick in a fuckin instant man is sex on legs

no homo?
Or do they?

did she ever find out who alllowed her name?

Yep it was The male love interest's father. He had a good reason or something but it's been forever so I don't remember the specifics

kek. I thought all sol was for normalfags

pls dont leave me like this i need to know

You'd probably choke on any dick on condition of anonymity, face it.

Sorry dude it's been a hot minute since I last saw it. Probably some 'they seemed so happy' bullshit.

>animes

I love Lucy!

No shit dummy

I thought it was because he didn't give a shit

I thought that was the assumption by Lucy after years of dealing with a fucked up name

If I recall, it went something like this:
>They found out that her name was approved by male love interest's father
>male love interest confronts father about it
>father reveals that he approved it because he was stressed because kid male love interest was sick with the deadly japanese cold at the time
>so technically it wasn't anyone's fault
>except later love interest remembers that he was sick because he was deliberately playing out in the rain or something
>so by some twisted japanese sense of responsibility it actually WAS his fault all along

They tend to hit a bit close to home and most of us watch anime for a bit of escapism.

Also, it takes a bit more to make a workplace anime believable and entertaining than a school one.

But don't you get tired of it after awhile? Sometimes I feel like I'm living in some weird anime Groundhogs day.

>Shirobako movie next year
Life is good, but it could be better. I´ll rewatch the series during xmas holidays.
Is there even enough material for Wotakoi S2? What i´ve read the manga it seems it hasnt gotten that far from where anime left off.

Most of adult anime characters still behave like retarded kids, and it looks even more out of place for working adults than it is in the school setting.

Still my favorite comedy anime. I'm gonna get drunk tonight and watch it again, been like 5 years since I last did.

Okay but how long does it take them to fug?

Have you seen Wotakoi or Aggretsuko? They might be up your alley

Been looking for this a while back:
>First episode of Death March
Pretty brutal. The show should have been about MC's working in a sweatshop disguised as a mobile developer studio. Too bad he "died" due to overworking and yes, its another isekai.
>I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying
Nice short series overall. Made by the same guy who did Maid Dragon.
>Ristorante Paradiso
About an Italian cafe staffed with only glasses wearing men. Sounds and looks gay but actually pretty comfy to watch. Barely any yaoi undertones despite the premise.

Honourable mentions:
>Usagi Drop
>Kuragehime
>Space Brothers
The anime that picked me up when my life was it lowest. Kinda turned to shit after the exams though.
>Barakamon

The irony in here as I grow older, I am more into SOL anime than I was 6 years ago. Significantly so. Back then, I refused anything with SOL on it like the plague.

Adult SoL is difficult because every adult's life is different, in contrast to teenagers, who all go to school and join clubs and do homework

Nope, is wotokai any good, might give it a shot.

>every adult life is different

Not really
>work 8 hours 5 days a week for a job you hate
>eat
>sleep
>repeat

Having disposable income is pretty cool, though.

Yotakoi is basically the same with with adult Otaku. Really goofy to me that he just has a switch and monster hunter generations.

When's that tiddy business woman 4Koma finally gonna get its anime?

You could quit to pursue a better future.

Then never be able to find another job because you aren't fresh out of college and exploitable.

>The irony in here as I grow older, I am more into SOL anime than I was 6 years ago. Significantly so. Back then, I refused anything with SOL on it like the plague.

I think that is pretty common among anime watchers. My old HS self would have killed himself if hew knew I was watching and REALLY enjoying Lucky Star and Non Non Biyori.
Now, shonen can catch me up but only comfy SoL reach my soul

Lucy is for bullying and not for lewd.

>Adult SoL
For me, it's Sakura Quest

S2 WHEN

Attached: imosae.jpg (3200x1800, 557K)

Does Osomatsu-san count (sometimes)?

Also this, though personally I like when they tackle subjects like that.

I agree

Attached: mpvshot0002.png (1920x1080, 2.19M)

Season two was great. Every time they sang I had to watch it again subbed to see how it was.

I kind of want to watch Retsuko but I don't know if it is too normalfag for my taste

I was afraid of that too at first, but it's actually really enjoyable/engaging.

Sometimes something is popular for a reason

just watch reruns of friends and seinfeld

Why always the Sararyman/Office Lady? Why can't be there other occupations like Military personnel, Hunters, etc.

Adult sol is good because it can feel more relatable sometimes, but I still like school sol more because then I can self insert into an adolescence that I wish I had.

Same sentiments here. I just go for the SoL seasonal show primarily because it just feels more relaxing and easier to unwind and maybe pick up only one or two action series.

Though I prefer reading action manga over watching them since seasonal adaptations won't match up to the source or lol3dcg.

You faggots gave me an erection.

I love me some Wotakoi. Hirotaka is literally me
