Anyone know of a version that has the japanese VA and editing but the American OST? The japanese music is atrocious and makes the show borderline unwatchable.

The japanese OST is bland and indistinct and badly used.

For example: Nephrite's death in the Dic dub used a rendition of the distinct and memorable Negaverse theme (youtube.com/watch?v=-N060bTt2QA) with that absolutely tasty bassoon riff, while in the Jap/Viz dubs its all silence until that really weak music box cover of the main theme starts up barely heard at the very end. And the Japanese equivalent theme for the dark kingdom is borderline ridiculous (youtube.com/watch?v=TCFC49ZINHQ), a mess of a soundtrack with electric guitars and drums hammering noisily alongside disco tier violins and a pianist who sounds like he's having a heart attack, nowhere near as regal, brooding, and ominous as the Dic version. For everything it got wrong Dic has a superior OST, no contest.

Sailor moon R onwards aren't really anything that different from the first series.
I don't understand the need to fellate Ikuhara even more when Junichi Sato is already a colossus of the industry and has worked wonders on Sailor Moon creating something that far surpasses the manga.

I only watched up unitl S and she is kind of a cunt for most of it, although I get it is for plot reasons and she is actually better than that.
Still doesn't make her likeable.
Maybe she's better in the following seasons but honestly I don't know if she's even part of them.

Well, I disagree. She's a tease, and very direct. She's also diligently following her mission.
But none of these traits make her unlikable. Thy just give her a more interesting personality. I do prefer her to Michiru.

She also had a few defining scenes with Usagi and Ami, and later on with Seiya.
Michiru's not as blank slate as you make her out to be. She's cultured and artistic. It's just that she's not in the spotlight as much as others and doesn't seek it either. And that I don't enjoy that kind of introverted personlity as much as the more outgoing Senshi.
