Even guys like Rihito or Sawada, who was supposed to be his rival, would be considered heads and shoulders above a guy like that, but are among the lower rung of the participants in the tournament.

At any rate, Sekibayashi is considered as one of the big names in the entire Kengan Assocciation, alongside Wakatsuki, so the fact that Kiozan had such a hard-fought battle with him is a big indicator of his strength.

There has been more action in Kengan Omega between Ryuki and Koga so far than like 100 chapters of some of the so called 'Romance' Mangas that get posted here.

Remember, the people who fought in the tournament, even the ones who lost in the first round like Kaneda, Chiba and Sawada are the in the top 2-3% of all Kengan fighters. Just getting that far is an incredible achievement and testament to their strength as fighters.

Omega could go either way, but Asura kind of reminded me of the original Grappler Baki (no doubt the Maximum Tournament parallels were an intentional homage), which was my favorite part of the Baki franchise. I like it's cast more than Baki's overall (the Baki franchise even back then suffered from a lot of characters being underutilised, whereas Asura did a better job of making it's fuckhuge cast memorable and likeable) but I prefer Baki's fight choreography more personally.

Sandrovich does not have Itagaki's bad habit of doing exposition dumps containing info the reader already knows either, something that becomes too frequent in the latter parts of the Baki franchise.
