I was going to pick this up until it seemed that the girl got shafted hard and MC went on alone until he partnered up with some OP fag. This gives me hope though.

Yeah, Yuuta is probably the reason why Benio was able to take Luna's powers with offing her self. Since every Luna before her killed herself when they found out they were an impurity.

Unfortunately there really arent that many. Japan loves traditional gender roles. That means 99.9% of battle stuff that has both a msin herione and hero wont have them fight together. Even if the girl is able to fight.

I want Luna to have her happy ending!

This series can be so strong when the two of them are together, and so god damn weak when they are not.
It's hard to believe the author kept them apart for more than half of the entire running at this point, what the fuck was he even thinking?

The one thing I really loved about the anime was how they'd have a special animation for every special attack, fighting game style.
Nothing stunning, but I found it charming, and was the one reason I didn't drop the anime immediately after I caught up with the manga.

Meh, you just know that in the end her brother is going to have a conscience attack, sacrifice himself for her and probably give her his eye or something.

Anime wasn't that bad honestly, it was supposed to anime original considering the number of chapters the manga had at the time. The author probably knew that and why some of the anime's original ideas and concepts were later implemented into the manga(i.e. Fox mascot, Arima's abilities, one of the Twin Star turns out to be impurity, etc).

She probably has an impurity eye, that's why she's hiding it.
