The beginning is by far the weakest part of the manga. The retarded sidekick and antagonist drag Senku down a ton. When he goes solo the manga turns into pure fun. Although you should definitely stay away from it if you are expecting serious battles or tons of cool action scenes.

yes. it gets good once tsukasa is out of the picture and senku goes out on his own and REALLY good after chapter 23 when best boy gen debuts so i'd recommend anyone who picks it up stick around until at least then to see how they like it
