I don't even see the problem with Sasuke. Does his edginess upset people by reminding them of their emo phase in high school or something? He had a reason to be on edge, his brother killed everyone when he was like 7 years old, then when he finally got revenge he finds out those were his brother's orders. Of course he would be disillusioned with the ninja world and its leadership, the Kage.
If anything, Boruto is about to show that Pain/Obito/Madara/Sasuke were right all along.

Reasons I didn't like Sasuke.

Kishimoto tried really hard to make him look like the coolest kid in school, but ended up making him look like a super-autist and potential school shooter that everyone liked for some bizarre reason.

Well you are, because while I am usually too ashamed to say it, I can come out with it easily enough if it's to prove someone on the internet wrong by blogging.
I was a somewhat sociopathic child with a loner attitude, obsessed with the idea of strength and genuinely believing pushing people and emotions away made me a strong person. To make things worse, I had good grades without trying much. Naturally, I related to early manga Sauce a lot. There was nothing in Naruto I could relate to as a 12 yo, except maybe the feeling of alienation. He did inspire me a lot though, in a "wow, if even a retard can do amazing things, i can probably do even better" kind of way.

I didn't like Sasuke because he was rude, generally acting insufferable to literally everyone he interacted with, yet everyone not only were cool with it, they liked him for some weird unexplainable reason.

Sasuke being a dick was entertaining and always unique from the other shonen rival aspects. He has some much of a ego and overcompensating chip on his should, you could tell he was alone, insecure and broken, he was always getting more moody yet charismatic that him and narutos competitive banter was always the highlights of the show.

Sasuke at the time was trying to be the revolutionary modern day vegeta and hiei with kurapikas and killuas depth, and it worked, Sasuke is more famous than any shonen rival in shonen history if not all of Japanese history for his groundbreaking role as narutos rival.
