Do you have any self made rules when watching anime?
My is, if a female character appears and she says "urusai!" or "baka!" three times during one episode, I drop the anime.
Saved me a lot times from watching badly written crap

Other urls found in this thread:
Just one.
1. Don't watch anime.
Saved me a lot of times from watching badly written crap.
Do the exact opposite of what Yea Forums does
I don't have any rules because that just sounds stupid. But I wanted to ask why some people have a "not dropping" rule. I mean why would you finish something that is shit? It's not worth your time.
This I found out works best. Everyone hates Kill la Kill on this board. Those threads were on fire and popping with life back when it aired live. Tits or ass?! Who cares, both!!
>male character appears
drop immediately
Most of the stuff I've dropped is stuff I started reading when I was a kid and just haven't bothered continuing. If something is only 24 episodes at most I feel like I might as well finish it even if I don't particularly like it. I guess it's the sunken cost fallacy. I've already spent a decent amount of time on it so I might as well finish it. If something is decent length though, I'm not going to read hundreds of chapters if I don't really like it at like chapter 25-50.
no resolution over 720p
I drop it the moment the central message is spoonfed to me or when a character becomes a mouthpiece and goes on to monologue about whats clearly the author's worldview
That's some gay shit right there nigga.
There is absolutely nothing gay about grabbing another man's penis.
If it gets more than three threads at the same time on Yea Forums, is probably shit.
Three threads.
I drop any anime I don't at least partially enjoy after having reached 25% of its total episode count (exception for longer running shows)
I refuse to watch second seasons or sequel movies for anything I didn't at least enjoy a noteworthy amount
don't watch anything with "Alchemist" in title.
I only have one rule.
I watch at least 3 episodes of an anime before deciding whether I want to keep going.
youtube.com
I think she says it a couple more times in the same episode. Still watched it and don't regret it.
If it mainly takes place in a high school setting, I drop that bitch like a hot potato.
Goddamn tired of the high school trope. The japanese are obsessed with school.
1. Never watch anime from SHAFT. It's autoshit.
2. Anime from KyoAni will most likely be very good. Make time to watch it and continue if it truly is good.
3. Anime that has proven itself in a first season will continue to be watched even if 2nd season is a disappointment.
4. Give everything else the 3 episode rule to. Some unknown anime can surprise you.
5. Avoid Yaoi shit at all costs.
6. No Shounen crap unless it's Dagonball or Bleach. and since Bleach has ended that just leave Dragonball.
>no shonen crap except some of the worst of the demographic
Doesn't make much sense but then again you seem like a Kyoani drone so I can't really expect anything good out of the post.
I drop a show if there's no fanservice within the first episode
when I'm watching 1st episodes from a new season I instantly drop the show under any of these conditions:
- generic high school content (unless it's unique)
- group of only girls or "healing anime" where they talk about cake or club activities, I watched a few dozen back in the day but it's just too boring.
- homoshit/bishounen
- CGI out the ass
My priorities are usually unique shows I've never seen before, action, good stories and titties/ass.
Do they accumulate? (2 baka + 1 urusai = out?)
