Because japs can't create convincing narratives due to most of their entertainment mediums being re-hashes with American influences. Americans ruined japan by introducing cartoons, japs took it and ran with it and now their creative freedom is stifled
It's a JRPG fantasy world. Don't think too hard.
>Don't think too hard
But it ruins my immersion.
So you can masturbate to anime girls in bikinis.
Because it makes my penis hard and I actually spent money on anime.
Because publishers didn't think being nude was acceptable.
>japanese "fantasy"
THAT ruins your immersion?
Why does Raphtalia suddenly have huge titties?
Because it sells more Blu-rays/merchandise than "much realism"
Because in isekai they didn't forget some Roman inventions.
I dont think you understand how hentai came to be. See it started with ww1
I mean, it just seems like the author cared less about an endearing, well-thought out story and universe and simply wanted an escapist fantasy where he could fuck 10/10 girls.
Huh?
Exactly. But if you don't like it you can instead spent money on supporting shows you like, showing that there is a market for that.
Also there is a dumbbell girl! Romans truly prepared for the current season.
No idea. Glad they at least did Racoon Girl and magic right to the setting
I was watching Slime Isekai and there's this scene where the goblins are picking fruit and there are several ugly brutish ogres and they all have these really attractive female ogres on their shoulders.
I really think the human race would be happier if every male had a 10/10 female who was entirely devoted to him. If that was our world we'd get less generic trash samey isekai anime too.
Imagine being such a faggot that after seeing an anime girl in a bikini the first thing you think is "wait, bikinis weren't common in medieval europe"
Also that world also has cars, planes and assault rifles in the LN, it's not strictly medieval.
They arent the first to be isekaid. Or blame the god of that world.
Because the author isn't gay.
all mmos have bikinis
I'm with . What the fuck are you on about? How can THAT be the straw that breaks your camel back?
>Imagine being such a faggot that after seeing an anime girl in a bikini the first thing you think is "wait, bikinis weren't common in medieval europe"
The second thing he thought was "Yea Forums needs to hear of this!".
This.
It's just abrahamic religion ashamed of the bodies god gave people, and possibly being the incels of their day, so they wrote these fantasy roleplaying manuals called holy books.
>be fat social reject
>angry at yourself and society
>write books about superman in the sky
>superman in the sky hates fit people/chads/playas/anything involving sex
tl;dr abrahamic religions were the original beta uprising.
Because world history is choke-full of heroic isekaifags?
same reason it has magic
because its filler garbage and they literally did not exist in canon
>Why does a setting with multiple people from the modern era running around have modern clothing
Because the heroes aren't the only ones that have been isekai'd into the setting, nor are they the only ones that know their magical weapons work off of the basis that they can basically do anything with their imagination (which manifests as shitty RPG abilities for most of the dumbass """"""""heroes"""""""").
Did they get to that point in the anime or not? If not, whoops! Spoilers. Stupid faggots.
Why does a setting in medieval Europe have mansions built with 19th century architecture and French maids?
Did you forget the part where early on the Queen was stuck doing diplomacy in a steampunk cityscape guarded by musketeers in red coats and bearskin hats? This setting has actually developed and mass-produced firearms.
Do you also complain about inconsistencies in Sora no Woto?
isekai babes always wear modern pantsu
>medieval europe
>guilllotine executions
Imagine being a mighty wizard and all you use your magic on is summoning bikinis for the town harlots
Well are harlots grateful?
No, but they pay good money because you have the swimsuit monopoly
but seriously, all the points you made are quite literally wrong and you should perhaps do some research
You get erection?
>superman in the sky
ok retard
>abrahamic religions were the original beta uprising
lmao, it wasn't even that
the original beta uprising was state-endorsed monogamy and marriage, you know, the thing that led to betas actually working hard and build civilizations that we're so desperately trying to destroy right now
why does a setting medieval europe have magic and catgirls
fucking retard
>medieval Europe
>no one wearing gambeson
>no one wearing helmets
>no one wearing chainmail or plate
>armor with fucking spikes on it
>swords with reversed crossguards
>people using shields as weapons
>people using swords as their primary weapon in the battlefield
spoiler alert: it's not medieval Europe
Good riddance.
Congratulations, you figured out what isekai is. Your truck will arrive soon.
>simply wanted an escapist fantasy where he could fuck 10/10 girls.
Ain't we all user, ain't we all
>setting in medieval Europe
No, the setting is that of a Japanese MMO that is medieval themed however we know that means realism is going to be sparse or at least it be be historically incorrect.
>It's just abrahamic religion
I stopped reading there. go back to LARPing like a steppe nomad in suburban Iowa, Johnny "Gunter-Redbeard" Anderson, just because your great-great grandpappy was a Norwegian immigrant doens't mean you're a viking
go back to desert and stop using computers they're too advanced for you sand niggers
Thats bold coming from the druid wannabe. post a fucking picture of your chin right now. $5 says your lower lip protrudes further out, and its covered in acne and a "beard" thats an ungroomed mess of pubic hairs
Because my dick.
Why are christcucks so easily triggered?
I can smell the buthurt mudshits and christfags from a mile.
>It's just abrahamic religion ashamed of the bodies god gave people
Be it God or natural selection - it only gave us bodies that work, not the bodies that work best. It's up to us to correct it's failings.
>samefag
Also, its just in our nature to violently put down tree spirit worshipers.
Imagine BEING A PAGAN in the Year Of Our Lord Two-Thousand-And-Nineteen
actually laughing at your existence right now
>Not even same person
>Crusader larping
OH STOP! I CAN'T! I CAN'T TAKE THE LAUGHING ANYMORE!
>christianity is a religion of peace!
>DESU VULT KILL EM ALL
>DO IT AGAIN CHARLESMAGNE
I think you might be reading too much into it, Ahmed.
Of course Islam is slightly more chad-compatible with those 4 wives and lolwomensrights.
Based.
>I have come to eradicate Religion as it is the bane of Man, warped in superstition, ignorance and fear!
>poster count at 37
>respond to one pagan larper
>poster count still at 37
samefag
>It's impossible for the people to respond to have allready posted
Lmao
>everyone that thinks I'm retarded is the same person
Who fucking cares?
Why does this thread even have this many replies? This dumb shit as well as OP should have died by now. Fuck off.
>superman in the sky hates fit people/chads/playas/anything involving sex
>tells people to "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Nice b8 sodomite (aka fag)
Seeth more. Your dumbass 2000 year old fairytale is falling out of favor.
Germanic barbarian mongrels literally destroyed Rome after adopting Christianity. Fuck brits, germans, and frenchies.
lol atheist nerds are fat ugly faggots to a man though.
Yeah, a guy said that one time (many did to be honest)
Where's he now hum? Fag
Not me, it's super cringe
No you moron, they destroyed rome and then they found christianity and were converted
Over a rather lengthy period of time, though.
The decline of Rome took at least 150 years.
There's also the fact: liberalism destroys empires.
It happened dozens of times before and Rome was no different.
Jesus was based, as was Buddha(s).
Book written by shitty unenlightened is another thing altogether though.
>Jesus
>Gautama
>Lao
All said to not write anything they say down and don't worship them as gods.
And what did followers do as soon as men kicked the bucket?
They wrote shit down and started to worship them!
Fucking retards.
Ancient Roman also invented Yea Forums.
pompeiana.org
>All said to not write anything they say down and don't worship them as gods.
Nice try heretic
>"He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground
>“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”
Get your freemason ass outa here
>nothing personal kid
>he doesn't understand transpersonal unity references in scriptures
Retard.
Or beargirls.
Buddy religion is losing followers. Most people have no need for it and realise it's just an old method to control the masses.
>using incel unironically or at all
Evangelists are retarded.
People don't know what's best for them, though.
There's literally nothing wrong with wanting the members of your society to share a creed.
>religion is losing followers
What? But they are literally worshipping science, Bill Nye and Richard Dawkins, arguably more blindly and aggressively than followers of older religions.
It's not even like atheism is widespread among the greatest scientists - because atheism is an unscientific position, no, worse actually, it's fallacious and no better than theism.
Ah yes. Being oppressed by a religion is good for you.
Wanting to slaughter everyone who is different isn't just some tribal ape shit.
>The science is religion meme
This is the weakest retort because they are not even the same. Lots of scientists are religious, doing science and doing worship are not mutually exclusive.
>But people worships *scientists*
First of that is not worship that's just being a fan. Second celebs allways have retards follow them.
The tard is real. You pretend that philosophical problems like the first mover are solved and that the big bang is creatio ex nihilo when most scientists don't even claim that.
According to your magic book any sex act outside of missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation is considered sodomy. If you've ever had oral sex you're a sodomite.
>atheism is an unscientific position
I know that's ironic and you meant the oppisite, but still, it's a meaningless assertion. Science can only concern itself with the material, the physical. When it comes to spiritual, and philosophical matters, there can be no science.
>It's not even like atheism is widespread among the greatest scientists
Another meaningless claim. I wouldn't ask a mechanic for financial advice the same way I wouldn't ask a lawyer for medical advice. Yet you put these people up on a pedestal and blindly follow their opinions on everything, no matter how informed they might be.
Drop a couple layers of irony and state your point again, in English this time.
Science itself, in the sense of the discipline originally described by the scientific method, is certainly not a religion. But many people nowadays blindly believe in it to the point of being effectively an act of faith, the very thing "SCIENCE!!!11" people claim to hate. Hell, even some highly advanced physics theories can't even be considered science, as they don't follow the scientific method.
And yes, when people blindly take any opinion on anything their beloved scientists might have, you bet they are worshipping them like literal gods, with arguably more devotion than people who consider themselves religious.
You may not call them "gods" and their worship "religion", but that's what they are.
Fuck off with your slave morality, faggot.
>God
*Demiurge
FTFY
Last I checked most people follow a religion voluntarily. Forced conversion is more of an exception than a rule.
Of course cultural factors, upbringing and coercion all factor into it, but ask any religious person whether he's being oppressed.
Forcing people to be atheists is just as oppressive; see the USSR or China.
Additionally, most religions have at least some tolerance of differing belief systems; they just don't want them in their own country, and plainly, there is no advantage to having 50 different and conflicting religions in a society compared to one; in fact such a situation is prone to causing violence.
Being a dumb fan of a celeberity is not a religion. Fans do not share holidays, they do not have places or books of worship.
Now you're going to stretch the definition of worship and religion to the extreme to make it fit your original statement but that won't change a thing. Actual religion, with creation myths, gods, messiahs, rituals of worship, moral codes and histories are falling out of favor. People don't need them for meaning anymore.
>Last I checked most people follow a religion voluntarily
>beaten and brainwashed into you from 0 years old
First world retards everyone. Everywhere on Earth is ethical fairyland.
>falling out of favor
Zen/x/ shit is trending though.
>believing a sceinties = literally the same as believing a fairy tale book
The absolute state of christcucks
When my doc tells me I've got asscancer I shouldn't get treatment because listening to experts is the same as worship
>invented Yea Forums
Damn, it was shit even back then
Good thing we live in western countries were no one is forcing you to believe anything.
But religions have built in systems that are designed to make people hate "heretics" a term that means, anyone who doesn't follow my religion. Heretics don't go to heaven, they want to destroy your culture, they are degenerate.
Having 50 different religions causes voilence because of the way religions are.
Atheists don't think that strongly about religious people. The worst is, "they are dumb and wrong."
Religions are also purpouse built to enstill dread at the thought of disbelief. "If I have doubts I'm a heretic and heretics go to hell."
It's called religious trauma syndrom.
>Setting rich in Isekais
>Has some elements from modern society in their culture
Nothing weird there
Are you fucking retarded?
They were part of roman society for houndreds of years before the fall of rome.
They were half roman at that point.
It's set in a cheap knockoff of the Dragon Quest setting, not in medieval Europe.
>sex act outside of missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation is considered sodomy
where does it say this, exactly?
>slave morality
quite literally the opposite, but ok
>picks up Lorgars fanfic
>implying catholics are Christian
>implying deus vult isn't used just to meme
cmon
>creates a religion around himself and expects to be worshipped
He didn't though. Not his fault he was this awesome.
It's not totally medieval Europe to be honest
It could be Naofumi designed them to please his dick
He actively fought the worship of him by destroying the biggest town devoted to his worship that lorgar build.
Boy did that cost him.
He got turned into a godlike figure by his own son because for all his smarts he's too socially retarded to comprehend the human condition
Dunno, why there are beast humans, dragons, magic, monsters and shit? Medieval Europe didn't have that either.
Fuck Lorgar and fuck his fanfictions.
no
"When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water."
Isaiah 41:17-18
>comprehend the human condition
>The Emperor loves no one man. He cannot afford affection - that is the honest practical for the impossible task that faces the Master of Mankind. He did not love His sons, He does not love men, but He does love mankind.
The state of emperorfags
How do you know, maybe they just genocided tanukis and others.
Just wait till he becomes a new chaos god.
>t. never read the Torah
The early patriarchs measured their value by how many sons they fucked into their harems of wives and concubines.
>inb4 Star Child
thank God none of what you said applies to Christianity
how do you know they didnt have bikinis as common wear
maybe they just genocided everyone wearing them
>pre-industrial revolution settting, close to medieval
>fabric material quality is 21st century standard
>Everything from woodwork to utensils, cookwear, tools, furniture, glass, etc. etc. is post industrial revolution level of quality.
>Clothing has 21st century design ques and visual makeup
This is always takes me out of the story.
Because it's a isekai setting with multiple isekai'd people over the time. Those people were also influential and could have add parts of their culture to the setting.
>pre-industrial revolution settting
>steampunk countries and firearms exist
Leviticus 18
>Do not take the clothes off your sister, the daughter of your father or of your mother
This makes me realize the bible is surprisingly cuck-compatible.
>Do not put your father to shame by taking the clothes off your mother.
>Do not take the clothes off your father’s wife.
No molesting your wifes boyfriend or son either.
>And you are not to go near a woman to take off her clothes during the time when she has a flow of blood
>Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman.
Also no animal fucking.
From what I'm seeing the bible is against
>incest
>bestiality
>sexual immorality
>adultery
>prostitution
>sex between men or anal in general
>pulling out or cumming outside of vaginas
They had firearms in the middle ages. It's always sad that nobody ever uses giant siege cannons or primitive hand grenades
Yes
"When God does nothing ever he doesn't exsist"
-me
The quotes from your story book have no meaning to me.
>cuck-compatible.
what? lmao no it isn't, do you even know what that means, or has that word lost all its meaning?
>From what I'm seeing the bible is against
>>incest
>>bestiality
>>sexual immorality
>>adultery
>>prostitution
>>sex between men or anal in general
>>pulling out or cumming outside of vaginas
yes, and how is that wrong?
>The quotes from your story book have no meaning to me.
i pray that one day they do, because in them there is life
Nice revisionism
>revisionism
no, just regular Christianity
In them there is a culture that you are nostalgic for.
But they are lies, none of it happend.
Romans destroyed Rome, they indulged in excess and became decadent. They lost the very spark that brought them glory when they deviated from the principles that made them successful.
In-fighting became rampant, generals fighting one another instead of securing their empire's sovereignty.
With the rampant hedonism, people lost their drive. Some Traveled all the way to Egypt in search of themselves with the hopes of finding some form of inspiration from one of a myriad of distant cultures they have conquered.
They adopted Christianity of their own volition as a means of restoring order and balance to their decaying society.
>none of it happend.
Eh actually in last dozen of years archeologists found a bunch of ancient Shumerian and Accadian cities, previously considered a myth. Many of them are mentioned in Bible albeit sometimes under other names.
to each his own, i suppose: i believe they happened
regardless, i wish you a nice day user : 3
It's an anime
Racoon not loli
>muh bikini
GTFO
>With the rampant hedonism, people lost their drive
That sounds awfully familiar.
>She was 16 when they met—he was six years older—and “her parents signed her over to me when I married her.”
>"religious institution" is the same as "religion"
Da fuck nigga? You don't have to join an org to practice a religion. Science is probably the biggest religion today.
But less consumerism bad
>don't lewd your mother
>don't lewd your fathers girlfriend
It's fair to assume this continues with
>don't lewd your wifes boyfriend
Maybe because back then those sites were 2000 years old, not 4000 years old. So they were baked into their collective culture more thoroughly.
Have a nice day to lad.
Reminder that Newton was an alchemist in his day, where they use to combine religious ideas with what we now call scientific ideas.
Reminder that science if basically a fork of religion.
>Someone realizes someone is full of shit
>Decides to find out the truth
>Thousands of years later
>Some idiots on magical electric forum machine says you should credit the first guy despite being an idiot and totally wrong.
Yeah okay
Read
Stop pretendig that apples are oranges. Fandom is not a religion. Science does not follow a narrative (I can allready smell the shitstorm from this statement) and being a scientists and being religious are not mutually exclusive.
delicious
Good thread
Being threatend with eternal torture for not believing in an unknown force with no feedback to whether or not you are worthy of not being tortured is unhealthy.
no, because that is not what that article of the law means: in both mentions it refers to a "wife" not a girlfriend
>"Thou shalt not commit adultery."
Exodus 20:14
>"But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
Matthew 5:28
any, literally ANY form of adultery is a sin
Catholicism > Protestantism
They are both bs
>no feedback
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
Galatians 5:22-23
"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
1 Corinthians 6:15-20
"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."
Hebrews 4:15
"But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth."
Psalm 86:15
"Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"
Ezekiel 18:23
"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?"
Ezekiel 33:11
>2000 years old
>Old Testament
The fuck?
I think he's saying they were already 2000 years old 2000 years ago.
They aren't that huge by anime standard.
There is no counter in your head that tells you you're worthy of not being tortured for eternity.
Now stop regurgitating scripture and discuss with your own words.
Sorry but when user said bible I have no clue if he's speaking about the old or new testament so I just assumed a time period.
Science overall should not be thought of as a religion, it must not be blindly trusted. Neither should it be assumed to solve all problems.
Science should be more akin to a tool, a thought process which aids us in understanding unknown phenomena surrounding us in a manner that can be replicated consistently such that the proof is irrevocable.
Once a phenomenon is modeled and sufficiently understood it can then be exploited for practical means.
The origin of the scientific way of thinking would have likely branched off from philosophy.
What if only universes that are capable to produce intelligent life get to have kids through their /g/ hands?
>Science does not follow a narrative
What is "determinism". Read a book.
Plenty of brainlets see Science as infallible scripture, though.
Naturally this is a result of ignorance, diametrically opposed to how it works in religion: there insight and knowledge brings enlightenment.
It's not in medieval Europe retard. It's the setting for some video game.
>prefering empiric evidence to blind faith is ignorant!
>Being threatend with eternal torture
It's not a threat user.
It's the reality of living in apathy.
People have walked away from the Judeo-Christian esoteric philosophy for 1000s of years blind to what the actual words in the bible meant. They all met the same fate and generally left the world in an unhappy horror.
Now combine that with the likely cyclical nature of reality and time itself and welcome to hell.
Something that not every scientists agrees on.
I have read books, more than just the bible.
Man, I have no idea, but it's a big part of why I can't stand going to church. I can't feel any closeness or spirituality when it's just 90 minutes of singing and "our principles are under attack woe is us it's Rome all over again."
>Science overall should not be thought of as a religion, it must not be blindly trusted.
And you think religion never acknowledges itself as contradictory in places?
To me, science is built on the old religion using a detailed mechanism. You cannot differentiate them as they talk and describe the world in different ways. They speak a different language.
If you want the reality - it's all bullshit, even science.
I mean they used to use arsenic wallpaper because it was green - science discovered that.
The fuck happened to this thread?
>religion is blind faith
Are you retarded?
What is it then for non theologians?
>science is blind faith!
>religion is not, though
Do you even listen to yourself?
>Something that not every scientists agrees on.
Actions have consequences though. That's universally agreed upon.
So what if your frame of reference starts with the big bang as the initial action?
Your revisionism of what hell is described as and more importantly, of what the average religious person thinks it is does not help you make your point.
And most people who aren't Judeo-Christian didn't die alone and in horror. They didn't even know your specific religion exsisted and died believing in their own.
It's funny that christians pretend that atheists live a horrid exsistance of meaninglessness yet overal welfare and happiness has increased with the rise of atheism.
The power of brainlets.
Not even religion itself goes that far;
many churches are willing to acknowledge or accept Scientific knowledge when proven beyond doubt (see the whole Heliocentrism thing in Catholicism; they just asked for overwhelming evidence because going against scripture is dangerously heretical, and hence they delayed things by a few decades, but eventually they accepted this truly was the state of affairs).
Brainlets are not as reasonable.
Philosophy and a language to try and interpret our reality, just like science.
Ok then, both are blind faith.
>implying the average christian does more than going to church and praying once in a while
>Christianity is all religion
That still leaves the possibility of human freewill. No scientist agrees on that.
Alot of scientists also dont't believe that the big bang is Creatio ex Nihilo.
>Ok then, both are blind faith.
Wrong because you can actually go out and test a scientists method and see if it holds up. You cannot do the same with religious texts, you just have to believe them.
Data obtained through empirical means can still be used in a misleading manner to manipulate the masses.
Not everyone that conducts experiments and collects data does so with integrity.
One only needs to look at the political scene to find examples of this occurring.
Furthermore, it is not impossible for the application of thought processes to regress over time or for knowledge to be lost.
Knowledge regardless of its form would need to be passed down to future generations in a manner that maintains or exceeds the status quo.
That still makes it preferable to blind faith.
>books
>international standards
>international standards for credible empirical studies
>Creatio ex Nihilo
Man I hate when people use latin when they can just use english.
>Wrong because you can actually go out and test a scientists method and see if it holds up.
You can do the same thing with religion.
That's just confirmation bias.
>you cannot do the same with religious texts, you just have to believe them.
They're not detailed enough to test user. They're too macro.
>Not everyone that conducts experiments and collects data does so with integrity.
Most don't. They tend to push shit for money and to maintain a facade of integrity.
So you know the thing in itself then?
You mean the standards made by think tanks paid for by major globalist corporations.
Makes you think.
>books
>international standards
>international standards for credible empirical studies
This is assuming that the current state of affairs continues without any disruption which would negatively impact the means of transferring knowledge indefinitely.
For example if we all go M.A.D and unleash nuclear Armageddon on one another or some cataclysmic environmental disturbance occurs than it is likely that a large amount of books and various other means of transferring knowledge would be destroyed.
History is no stranger to the burning of books.
So recreatability and falsification are jewish plots now? I think you should check what's in these redpills you swallow.
Bikini's were ancent history even in Medieval Europe user. They were not worn due to religion, not because they were unknown or could not be made.
Same thing applies to religions. If enough of their religious sites and texts is destroyed and their followers and priests converted or killed a religion vanishes.
New religions might come up, but also new scientific methods.
Both Science and Religion are all about truth.
The difference is just wheather they are trying to learn the truth, prove it, or establish it.
That's one reason why historically science and religion were closely related.
Wouldn't call the infallibility of the pope an instrument of truth.
>So recreatability and falsification are jewish plots now?
>Nihilism inherent in science is just a conspiracy
>He thinks that just because the wealthy paid for it, it had to involve jews
Pot calling the kettle black much.
Diablo just cockblocks himself from fucking his girls though.
Well even if no recorded knowledge of the past is preserved then there still is a possibility that people in the future would be able to reach similar conclusions be repeating a similar series of events.
So I will not disagree with you there.
The point I am trying to argue is not in favor of science or religion.
Rather that it is possible for any currently established thought process or established principles to degrade over time.
Op still looks too modern. With modern elastic materials and string.
jesus christ finally someone gets it!
Guess I should stop lurking /pol/. Thought that start about corporations and think tanks would be lead to a rant about da (((joos))).
Just follow the truth user.
The truth never hurt anybody.
Brb I just saw a bunny hop past me.
>Guess I should stop lurking /pol/
Or pretending you're not a newfag.
>Creatio ex Nihilo
sorry for using common terms
>You can do the same thing with religion.
That's just confirmation bias.
I didn't know you had a time machine that lets you check if Jezus actually came back 3 days later.
>They're not detailed enough to test user. They're too macro.
Oh so now you can't test them? So what is it?
>So you know the thing in itself then?
What thing?
Lets assume you don't believe in cells? You can actually get a microscope and do the common oral mucosa test.
When thousands of scientists do this and they all get the same resultst that is emperical evidence. Lots of people tested it to see if it's true and it was.
>medieval Europe
The fuck are you smoking?
OP is just a baiting faggot.
>>Nihilism inherent in science
Just because it does not follow your believes doesn't mean it's nihilistic.
>sorry for using common terms
Fuck I can smell the euphoria from here.
Do you have a fedora?
>What thing?
AHAHAHAH
Normalfags should leave
Just appoint an antipope or go full schism or whatever.
It's not like anything was an instrument of truth back then.
Oh I can taste the buthurt. Feels good doesn't it, giving up on actually discussing stuff and just shitflinging instead.
>There is no counter in your head that tells you you're worthy of not being tortured for eternity.
why would you need such a thing?
this is what you fail to understand, there is no such thing as being "worthy", such a thing is meaningless simply because no one (save Jesus) as human is worthy to be saved on their own. it is through Christ and mercy of God that we are saved, as was written:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
no one is worthy of anything and God does not owe you anything.
>Now stop regurgitating scripture and discuss with your own words.
what does this even mean? i use scripture, i.e. the source of my faith, to illustrate to you that you are wrong in your claims.
"my own words" as you say, would simply be a retelling of the same thing you find in the scriptures. why should i not rely on God and his word in defending my faith to Him?
"God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged."
Romans 3:4
(the quote speaks of a different thing but the concllusion of the verse is what matters)
If we were ever sure of ourselves, science wouldn't exist. Science is inherently sceptical of itself.
A long time ago religion and science were the same thing. For some reason the idea of "secularism" emerged to distinguish the two (mainly to remove the church from impeding philosophical progress).
We're having the same issue today with monopolies of educational thought (think tanks). This is relatively new as a thing compared to the "old think tanks" - churches.
Scientific method is just a detailed version of older methods.
The popes infallibility is rather new (1869-70), caused the old-catholics to split off too.
And it was barely even used afterwards.
Look up "thing in itself".
This went from a discussion about bikinis in mediveal Europe to Chad Christians arguing agaisnt virigns pagans who are still mad they lost their holy war and incel athetists.
The fact that no such thing exsist means there is not feedback. You know, the thing I said there isn't but you just decided there is.
It is the root cause of religious trauma syndrom, the stress many religious people go through trying to conform to a unknown beings ideals has been proven to be unhealthy.
I don't like it when you spout texts that have no meaning to me, half of which aren't even applicable to the situation.
The only question I have for Christians is that you would at least marry raphtalia and fuck her everyday?
This is terrible bait.
I thought this thread spiralled into nihilism and despair.
>least marry raphtalia and fuck her everyday
Yes and I'd fuck her in the ________ass________
Pretty dubious concept anyway considering people literally bought that position during the middle ages.
Why would god divinely inspire some guy who becomes pope to amass power?
The real problem is scripture anyway, however.
Considering the strength and importance of the church back then it's not surprising they'd oppose any and all heresy, justified or not, but they actually were a bit of a patron of the Sciences (and arts) - just don't do anything unholy.
Yet, even if it was unholy, if it was proven true they at least tried to come to terms with it.
Now we're left with issues like abortion and contraception.
>there is not feedback
Yep, to be human is to echo locate in an empty room with no real walls or objects.
Because it's fantasy and Japs don't really understand alot about European history and culture.
it's not medieval Europe.
What would you even call it?
Seems like we mix east and west myth, build on it with modern fiction and then bam - the modern typical isekai fantasy setting.
It's odd.
Look up Creatio ex Nihilo
Forgive me for not understanding that user ment noumenon. He should have used quotation marks or something to imply he was talking about the concept and not some random object that he pulled out of his ass.
I still don't really understand how bringing up noumenon applies to my original statement of "Evidence is preferable to blind faith"
Corruption ruining it doesn't mean that a central authority on theological matters is a bad idea.
The only problem with the infallibility is that a person that has not been infallible can't declare himself to be so without having been fallible in the momend he did.
>but they actually were a bit of a patron of the Sciences
Islam literally saved much of our Roman philosophy from disappearing (via Byzantium) and even established things like our modern digit system. They inherently thought it was crucial to religion.
Why did that mentality disappear after the renaissance?
>pic related
So, isekai in a nutshell
It's more of fantasy Europe, the anime isnt even close to a 10% percent of how mediveal Europe was like and looked.
Islam also destroyed the last remaining Roman empire and Genocided and raped the desecedants of Roman and Hellenic Greeks.
...while not building any further on it and killing those opposing their religious laws.
>He should have used quotation marks or something to imply he was talking about the concept and not some random object that he pulled out of his ass.
Or you're a faggot that can't read a sentence properly.
>I still don't really understand how bringing up noumenon applies to my original statement of "Evidence is preferable to blind faith"
You probably just lack this thing called a brain.
Yeah Islam did a lot of things.
Merchants liked to fuck their kings in particular. They've been doing it for hundreds of years, since the small merchant countries of italy.
Hint hint. Because that will also explain why secularism became a thing.
Why would it need to be built further on? And Muslims aren't the only ones killing those oppose their religious laws, you know.
I'm not denying that. I was just pointing out that while they did save many ancient greek texts from being lost they didn't advance what they could read from them.
Sorry but when I'm talking with retards I tend to get confused by their bullshit.
>it ruins muh self insert
fucking die faggot
As a matter of fact, it wasn't the Muslim who saved Roman philosophy or even Greek perhaps they were inspired by it and made their own edited versions to suit their religion. The one who saved most of Roman and Greek philosophy and adopted it was the Catholic the church.
>literally a dozen seething replies to this post
>and adopted it
Sure shows haha
>see thread on the catalog
>wonder why it has so many replies
>its because it somehow devolved into discussion about religion
Anyway have a bird
Quite a lot of greeks (including scholars) fled from ottoman rule. Some even sold themselves into slavery in venice to escape. They brought with them quite a lot greek philosophy of course.
It's called armor.
Junketsu no Maria
I'll tell you a trade secret: While orange balloons are more flexible, red ones are stronger, so a mix of 2:1 is ideal for elastic threads.
Wait, you don't have balloons in your world? How do you even produce elastic fabrics? You drill the Earth or seabed until it produces crude oil, transport it with giant pipelines or ships to alchemstical factory where it is refined, then transported to other factories where the elastic materials are produced? All that to replace scraps that a child can pick up from the fields?
Fools.
Funny. These past 2 or 3 decades have seen religion eroding away, and yet I see people being sanctimonious and preachy anyway, wanting to censor EVERYTHING.
Religion has nothing to do with it.
That's ok user, I'm just here to communicate things to the slow, deaf and blind.
>be a medieval fantasy anime
>everyone wears business suits as their formal wear
This is so painfully common as well.
Actually they struggled to maintain a lot of it as they likely scrubbed out most of the records to hide the true nature of the state at the time (byzantium). Islamic states had no such conflict of interest at the time, hence why more "science" was developed in those states for quite some time after the collapse of Rome. Early and modern islam is a different beast to the pre-ottoman islamic state. I'd say they were tamed by the threat of northmen or something.
>female knights wear some kind of whole body rubbersuit under their armo
I really wonder where this comes from, it's just so strange
Medieval Islam on the whole wasn't too bad compared to Europe.
They were more advanced both socially and technologically for a couple of centuries.
Plays a big role in why they consolidated and expanded so much.
In Europe everybody was fighting each other constantly back then, so we can't slap the label of the bad guy on the relatively progressive muslims for also attacking people.
The fact Europe was not united in repelling the Muslims is a big reason for their successes.
The Crusaders inadvertently hastened the downfall of Constantinople, but of course it's the Ottomans who conquered it.
It's important to note this already was a time when Islam was showing some of its worse qualities compared to the centuries previously.
Overall the Ottomans were relatively generous to the conquered people however. At minimum there was nothing abnormal about the way they treated such subjects, so in the end this only boils down to whining about the Europeans military failures.
That's a weird reoccurring thing too. Didn't this happen in Konosuba?
It didn't ruin hers, though.
That whole demanding christian children as tribute and turning them into janissaries thing along with the Dhimmi taxes sucked though.
>Didn't this happen in Konosuba?
Sort of.
>retard OP and anime haters overlook the bikini in ancient times example
>atheistfags also ignore it and blame religion
Kill yourselves.
Atheists are too blame for the world having the most slaver and torture in any point in history.
There are tons of people right now kidnapped and abused in basements and cages being raped and starved to death.
Niggers and spics are being let in to kill any advancements made, not a single thing has been made by atheists to further society.
He got titjob okay.
Janissaries were probably the coziest unit in the whole empire to serve in, though, so it wasn't that bad, when the alternative is working the fields as a peasant all your life.
Probably one of former hero was tailor or something in real world
They should've taken them from their own people then and not forced subjugated peoples to give their children to them.
The main country for slavery is Mauretania though. A pretty religious country.
True to be told, kazuma from our world (left)
Religion is dead mate. The religious nutters over 60 still have sway cause they vote and we don't.
Problem is, as the number of religious people becomes smaller, they radicalize. Only the more faithful and the few fanatics remain and affect those joining in.
Well, slavery was still a very real and universal thing back then. Best not to talk about what happens to military casualties or people in sacked cities and such; doesn't matter if Christians or Muslims attack, often it was conversion, execution or slavery (with some rape thrown in for the ladies).
Indentured servitude was more common in Europe, while Muslims had more slaves, but it boils down to the same.
God, the things i would do to get my peers to vote.
It’s on the rise thanks to South America and India.
Atheists are the minority.
Not all of europe had slaves, mostly the south (most of the HRE outlaven in 1200 for example). And these slaves mostly came either from reconquered territory in Iberia or the east (pagan slavs and balts or tartars).
The muslim slave raiders went up to ireland and bought eunuchs from Ethiopia.
*outlawed it
*Iceland
>Medieval Islam on the whole wasn't too bad compared to Europe.
It was shit, but less shit than Europe at the time. You had feuding christian states and a horde of norsemen raping the lot of them for their Gods.
Generally, a shit time all round. Fun if you like to raep.
>science is blind faith
You could like, study it, you know?
Because they don't breed. Apparently atheism is a biological dead end.
Heroes from other worlds that have bikinis bring the idea over
>You could like, study it, you know?
Why would I close my eyes user? I'm on Mr Bones' wild ride after all!
>what are jesuites.
There's no point, the reptiloid NWO Illuminati control all the sciences you sheep
Even Nietzsche is rolling in his grave. This is like a 12 year old watched some Christopher Hitchens clips and skimmed through Nietzsche's wikipedia page.
Guaranteed (You)'s though, so if he's right about one thing its that
See you after the apocalypse!
>tfw realized Hitchens was a hack as I grew older
Armor, as a rule, goes over something else. Like you wear your jacket over your clothes. In anime it's just skintight.
I know, but I don't think rubbersuits can really do the job of something like a gambeson. And why rubber or stockings? Why not just a skintight shirt or something?
Fanservice.
>all religion is christianity
Define "religion".
>The origin of the scientific way of thinking would have likely branched off from philosophy.
That's literally what happened.
Organized largescale believe in supernatural forces and beings.
A relgion is basically a cult with a lot more followers.
So not the actual definition. Religion does not require the supernatural. Ask Robespierre.
bros i want a raphtalia
Serfs had it just as bad or worse than slaves. But I guess Americans only care about "slavery".
You were the one to change the topic to slavery. I don't know how you came from janissaries to slaves.
Also, I'm not a burger, I'm a kraut.
If you literally google it the first time it says is
>The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods
And alternatively
>A particular system of faith and worship.
>A pursuit or interest followed with great devotion.
So I guess if you wanted to you can say that aitheists "worship" scientists. But the funny thing is that that just isn't true for vast majority of them.
And even if you take the "A pursuit or interest followed with great devotion." just for this case then religion and fandom are apperantly the same thing. I think we can both agree that they aren't. If you ask me that definition is kind of useless because it is so broad that you can clump almost everything under it.
reminder
And then there's the Bahai.
And both of those require a leap of faith, due to the sea of ignorance that is the human condition.
>I'm only talking to one user
Whatever makes you feel better at night
>all these seething christcucks
Good job.
If youre a different user then, started with the topic of slavery in the ottoman empire and european countries. I then said in that slavery in europe was more restricted than there. I thought that you were that user.
Simple. It's not medieval, it's only medieval adjacent.
The real redpill is that all gods exist.
What did this retard mean by this?
Rising of the shield hero ending?
At the end of the day serfdom is slavery with the added technicality your direct owner is the land, not some guy. It is not so different.
Yep, and as unlike with slavery the serf itself isn't an investment slaves may have been treated better at times.
Go home, /pol/, you're drunk.
If you call them "fantasy roleplaying manuals", then how do you know they're not real when they make up the mysteries of the world? Miracles don't come out of thin air.
I can only think this sentence somehow makes sense if you're religious, as it's just word salad.
God I want to lick raccoon tummy
That wasn't him, but you are overlooking something.
There is things like indentured servitude (or even some basic aspects of feudalism) that are not far from slavery, and they were very common in Europe.
The Muslims had less of that, but more outright slaves.
Europe is guilty of the same under different names, and while the Muslims made a big enterprise out of it, it's not much worse or different from what Europeans did, who only got back into slavery proper a few centuries later.
Fantasy roleplaying manuals definitely are real, but they contain the mysteries of the wrong world.
If you want to be that way one could also argue that muslim countries continued to practice slavery even after it was outlawed in christian countries, were the ones capturing the slaves that were brought to european colonies, were the ones to buy eunuchs, which were usually castrated at a very young age, and that countrues like Mauretania still practice slavery today.
Hmm.. yeah? They are the closest thing to slavers even today, Saudi-Arabia specifically.
Mauretania still has literal slaves. They tried to outlaw slavery 5 times by now but it still continues.
Someone post the crop of Raphtalia please.
But let's not make the mistake of assuming black people are human.
Regardless of what you think in that matter, slavery has been and still is a much bigger deal in the muslim world than in the west.
Problem, user? The setting isn't medieval but contains medievalism; learn the difference.
And far as bikinis are concerned, Romans had them, they just fell out of usage during the Dark Ages, thus it's very likely that matriarchial kingdom would have bikinis.
Thanks dude.
Radical image.
That whole matriarchy thing isn't shown very good though. The only thing seen from it is the queen being over the king and the sentence of bitch explaining that it's a matriarchy.-
fuck your immersion
Did her breasts grow? I thought they were smaller.
hits close to home for you doesn't it :')
adorable coon though
This is her adult form, so, no. They probably won't grow anymore until she gets pregnant.
That's undeniable at least in post-Roman times. It was very common in antiquity after all.
Christianity changed peoples attitude (uh, probably?) and I think the economic situation in Europe made slaves expensive/uneconomical.
That is why Europe relied on feudal systems where the local lord or landowner more or less owned at least a proportion of people working in their territory, and only the few citizens, rich and nobility were free, with clergy mostly independent.
Meanwhile Islam stuck with slavery.
But islamic countries were also feudal. Feudal countries were also not without slavery.
It's just that both the religion and close proximity to african tribes allowed people in the muslim world to aquire slaves much more easily and with less consequences. In Italy, slave owners abusing their slaves were punished by the church if it came out, not so in the Islamic world.
Try paying some more attention and you'll actually find out that the story doesn't play in the Holy Roman Empire, so you can stop acting like a faggot who is too stupid to watch some basic bitch Isekai.
And I'm serious about that. It's a lack of intelligence that is causing your issues.
People still used swimsuits even in the middle ages.
I guess you are right, even if the monarchy was enatic (female-only), it wouldn't say much about the rest of the society's gender balance.
I mean, to be honest, it seems to be egalitarian (much like every isekai); matriarchy would imply that women have rights that men do not and that men are second class citizens.
Maybe if there were more eunuchs, or atleast some sort of male servants. Then it would actually mean anything. As it is now it was just a plot device for the rape accusation.
>nothing about not taking the clothes off your daughter
Based and redpilled.
>rituals of worship, moral codes and histories are falling out of favor.
True.
>People don't need them for meaning anymore.
I would argue otherwise. It’s not that people don’t still need them, it’s that people have forgotten their necessity. All aspects of meaningful life formerly occupied by religion are now occupied by some newer, less tried mechanism like ideology, or left unoccupied so meaninglessness may fester.
I hate hobbits, so, so much.
hobbitses*
>rituals of worship
Usless thing of the past that only held meaning because of fear, stress and superstition
>moral codes
Morality does not come only from religion.
Ever noticed how all religions have basically the same moral code of: Don't steal. Don't kill. Don't cheat. Obey your elders. It's because those things are all inherently good, not because a specific religion is right about the machinations of the universe.
>Hitories
Lies, no one is throwing history in the water. Just because people no longer follow tradition of old doesn't mean it is forgotten or hated.
>As it is now it was just a plot device for the rape accusation.
Even that didn't need to be, while some people in patriarchy had a rape privilege (e.g. tax collectors who caused the Peasant's War), a rape of princess would still be treated with seriousness.
Yeah, quite a lot of, maybe not potential, but interesting world building there.
Rituals were created to give meaning to events in life. Birth, coming of age, marriage, death. All of these have rituals tied to them. Religious rituals. Even the Hammurabi code, one of the first law systems in history, was full of religious connotations and actual prayers and words of thanks to the gods. Religion may not be the source of morality, but it sure has been standing beside it for ages.
>doesn't mean it is forgotten or hated.
Do I need to remind you that there are people out there actively trying to destroy the very idea of marriage?
*lost world building opportunities
>Rituals were created to give meaning to events in life. Birth, coming of age, marriage, death. All of these have rituals tied to them. Religious rituals. Even the Hammurabi code, one of the first law systems in history, was full of religious connotations and actual prayers and words of thanks to the gods. Religion may not be the source of morality, but it sure has been standing beside it for ages.
So like I said, it's all old, something that humanity is growing over, something it doesn't need and never really needed because the morals that they upheld are universal.
You can look back on it and appreciate the art and culture but in the end the core, the creation myths, are all factually wrong which is the reason why religion is falling out of favor.
>Do I need to remind you that there are people out there actively trying to destroy the very idea of marriage?
Do I need to remind you that extremists have allways exsisted and that it won't go anywhere.
If history has taught me something, is that every time religion falls out of favor decadence sets in, the civilization decays or is wiped out, religion grows strong again, and the cycle starts anew. And in the future, one user such as you will debate an user such as me about why religion is worthless. Again.
I look forward to your next incarnation, if such a thing exists.
>So like I said, it's all old, something that humanity is growing over, something it doesn't need and never really needed
I'm an atheist, but I'm very sceptical that reason can fill in the hole in our psyche that's created by abandoning tradition, rituals and superstition.
But this time it wont get replaced by religion it will get replaced by ideology.
A lot of historybuffs think otherwise but the modern age is really different from the past. Technology has never developed at this pace before and knowledge of the world at large has never been to this scale.
With people knowing this much about the workings of the world and none of it lining up with relgious texts I doubt that any of the current religions will survive. Maybe a cool new one will pop-up but none of the current ones will make it, they are just so wrong about reality that most people who aren't brainwashed by it will leave and that the brainwashed group will become smaller and smaller untill nothing of it is left.
People invent new rituals and traditions. The new ones just wont have anything to do with a religion.
What's about current religions that is "so wrong about reality"?
Remember when Robespierre and Lenin tried to replace religion with ideology? That sure turned out well.
The average person has absolutely no interest, nor the intelligence, to care or understand the inner workings of the world. They are driven by fads and whatever gives them free leave to act without consequence, as if that was really the truth. The only thing that technology does is make the cycles of rise and fall turn faster.
You place too much faith in Humanity.
There is no meaningful distinction between "religion" and "ideology" except what you worship.
>so wrong about reality
God created the universe in 6 days and the way he does it is very specific. This creation myth is never ment figuratively.
All scientific development about the universe and the earth points to this NOT being the case.
It also doesn't make sense for and omnipotent being to take 6 days to create the universe, he should be able to do it in an instant.
You place too little faith in humans. It is probably because your religion thought you too.
Communism didn't catch on because it is disfunctional. Capatlism on the other hand is doing just fine. Countries like China and Russia also authoritarian states with no religious influences that are doing fine.
So either the west or russia survives and religion dies naturally or china surives and relgion gets voilently removed.
The idea that all of these nations somehow collapse all at the same time is just you hoping for an apocalypse to tell me you're right.
The end isn't comming.
I have been over this very often ITT. If you specifically want to cherry pick the loosest definition of religion that is fine but when the general population says religion they mean the worship of a supernatural force.
>China and Russia also authoritarian states with no religious influences that are doing fine.
>China and Russia
>fine
What the fuck is wrong with you? They are dystopian shitholes. People are miserable.
Fine as it not about to collapse. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that you can deny their growing power.
Growing power means jackshit if you get a civil war.
that's not even medieval europe
What civil war? There is nothing largescale happening in those countries. And don't say it will happen because than it better happen fast, with technology chaning so quickly it is quite possilbe that they can automate away their military with heartless obedient machines. No fighting that.
Ones again today is VERY different from the past, humanity has never had to deal with such technological advance before.
lol, imagine being this guy and thinking he's made some incredibly clever question.
>only held meaning because of fear, stress and superstition
People are afraid of Christmas, are they? Or of watching the ball drop on New Year’s, or of applauding at the end of a symphony, or of walking down the aisle, or of saying “bless you” in response to a sneeze?
>Ever noticed how all religions have basically the same moral code of
That’s just terribly wrong. There are fundamentals that they share, true. But religions are not all the same. How can you look at Christianity, Buddhism, the Greeks and the Aztecs while claiming this? Just because all photos are of objects found in the universe doesn’t mean all photos are the same.
I agree that any one religion couldn’t hold a monopoly on what is good. But each contributes a unique understanding – ‘love thy enemy’, the Four Noble Truths, etc.
>Just because people no longer follow tradition of old doesn't mean it is forgotten or hated.
Are you kidding?
>in the end the core, the creation myths, are all factually wrong which is the reason why religion is falling out of favor.
Those are not the core of Christianity, or of any religion I can think of. Really, would you say that about the ancient Greeks? From my limited understanding of it, the heart of their religion is the struggle between deities in a chaotic world.
The heart of Christianity is forgiveness, for the guilt all humans feel at some level for something. The Adam and Eve story is important, but it is hardly core.
>This creation myth is never ment figuratively.
The most ardent fundamentalists are new atheists.
>It also doesn't make sense for and omnipotent being to take 6 days to create the universe, he should be able to do it in an instant.
It’s almost like demonstrating that God is omnipotent is not the point.
the author clearly hates worldbuilding
>state church worships three cardinal heroes
>treats them as glorified adventurers instead of literal gods
>almost immediately tries to kill them
>whole church is just on board with the pope's plan
>queen replaces the church with four heroes church and everybody just accepts it, instead, there being major uproar against the change
changing state religion isn't smooth
>one of the heroes overthrows a countries government
>noone gives a shit
>megabird tells shield that all countries get attacked by waves and heroes should split up
>completely irrelevant the day after
I came here expecting pictures of the wet coon not religious discussion
>Raccoon girls, bird girls, literal magic, experience systems, monsters and whatever else that's not a historically accurate piece of evidence is allowed
Shut yo ass up
Because they weren’t fags
>drop the isekai wish fulfilment shit
>fucking drop the bird
>focus on the broken loli slave healing plot
>focus on survival in a grimdark world
I fixed it
Two nukes weren't enough.
It's not "medieval Europe" -- it's an isekai. They don't have to explain shit.
Kill yourself, transhumanist tranny
Those proportions look like a literal retarded Downie drew them.
There's a hero whose weapon is a sewing set and likes making dolls and pajamas so you're not too far off.
Any lack of worldbuilding is corrected in the spinoff but that only has like 53 chapters translated.
Not the core? Are you kidding me? The most important point of Adam and Eve is "God made everything good, but now everything is bad purely because humans fucked everything up and we are completely at fault, thus deserving punishment". Take that away and it removes the culpability of man for not being perfect, it takes away the need for a savior blood sacrifice, because all the bad stuff in the world aren't evil aberrations, they were intentionally created as-is.
There's reasons why there's so many young earth creationists still around. There's reasons why the Catholic church and other denominations still insist that Adam and Eve are still somehow true despite accepting evolution. A big reason is the theology, going all the way back to Paul and 1st century Jewish theology.
How do you have any fun user?
In the officially translated novels so far, he's gotten a titjob from the mayor of the desert city, a blowjob from the chief of the dark elves, and he's fingered the loli.
I'd watch more of this. It was kinda dumb and ugly but it made me smile a few times. The stuff with Rifana actually managed to get a tear out of me too, and I'll commend any show that can make me feel.
>Rifiana
her fate is far more certain and grievous in the manga/LN than in the anime
It’s the explanation for how wrongdoing and guilt came to be. Take it away and you have an open question.
>Take that away and it removes the culpability of man for not being perfect
The culpability of man – the pangs of guilt within every person – is still there, you have only removed the explanation of how it got there.
>it takes away the need for a savior blood sacrifice
Because the culpability of man exists independently of the Adam and Eve story, the need for someone to forgive you for it is still present.
The core theme of Christianity is being sorry for your own wrongs and forgiving others for theirs. The age of the universe doesn’t make a difference.
I don't have anything personal against such psychological explanations, but churches, theologians, and the most fanatical adherents will insist on the (almost legalistic imo) theology of sin and culpability of Adam, to set things up for the theology around Christ. Your interpretations are very liberal compared to the doctrines they repeat and insist on as absolutely true.
Now that’s very true. Two-word phrases like “subsists in” which has its own wikipedia page, all the layers of explanation for the legitimacy of lineage from Jesus to Catholic Church, it’s all very legal. (Finally my semester on Catholic theology has found a little use.)
Organized religion may be necessary in some regards, societally, but it does develop trappings. The Church’s unique trajectory in history has a lot to do with it.
new testament retconned a shit ton of old testament stuff
