I feel like Kazzy watched for two reasons: Potential team members and asking Chiba about the fake Snake possibly, since his whole underground professions revolve around faking someone as a whole.

There are two of them, with one slightly more important than the other.
Koga is an underdog that has a better mind for fighting than actual skills to do it. He's an asshole most of the time.
Ryuki is a great fighter, but grew up in the Inside but didn't have someone like Niko to stop him from trying to kill his enemies in the same way that Ohma did, his mentor seemed to be more violent. He is awkward in conversation, and funny because of that. He generally is a nice guy.

Hm, you may be right. Chiba might have known more people like himself. Though I think the Fakezaki was chosen to replace Yuzaki because he used Snake Fist and they didn't expected Idemitsu to appear and recognise the fake due to slightly different version of the style.

I like that Koga, despite thinking he didn't picked much of the manners and such from his first karate dojo, shows great respect for the elders, and is always polite and respectful towards Kazzy even before knowing he's the man he was looking for, and now even buys a tie for him.

Water Kata seems to be the least used one.
Given Ohma used almost all of Niko Style besides ultimate moves against Raian, I'd say that Kanoh knows quite a lot of it.

He was able to tell that Ohmas Indestructible at the time was imperfect, heavily implying to be fully capable of it himself. Water was somewhat used as in that his combo attack against Beard had Swimming Swallow in it, which falls in the Water Kata.

The opening sounds great, i give them that for sure. The fights also will be thanks to motion cap pretty smooth, the only concern is overall on the models themself.
