How much more popular does the game have to get before an English release becomes a realistic prospect?
I can barely tolerate gachashit even when it’s properly localized like Azur Lane, yet love the Kotobuki franchise enough to sacrifice some whale $$$ to support it. Still, I’m not about to jump through the hoops of spoofing my iPhone’s location or putting an Android emulator on my PC, only to then have to memorize how a moonrune UI works, all the while never understanding any of the voice acting due to a lack of subtitles.
Really don’t understand how anyone not fluent in Japanese can enjoy games like this.

Kotobuki is from Bandai Namco and they couldn't care less - they also run Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage and that one has no English/international release either despite Idolm@ster being a hugely popular franchise internationally.

Girly Air Force felt more like a battle harem or something in the vein of Strike Witches. There's a difference between military shows where the girls *are* the tanks/guns/ships/planes, and shows where the girls *operate* the tanks/guns/ships/planes - the latter has a lot more potential for showing the detail of how the equipment actually operates.
