Danberu Nan Kilo Moteru

Just a little under 18 hours until it airs.

Why do threads keep getting deleted? This is anime right?

There, how hard was that?

Because you /fit/tards are beyond cancerous and immensely stupid and need to head back to your cancer board where you belong.

Attached: 1556208703742.png (637x917, 749K)

Should i watch this if i liked kengan ashura?
i heard it's from the same authors

/fit/ threads are off topic

I don't go to /fit/, I just think the anime looks fun.

But its anime

>heroshit image
You should fuck off to your main board too.

who hurt you, user?

It's pretty different, but there are lots of references and it's likely set in the same universe.

lose weight you sad fuck

I can fully endore the manga "Danberu Nan Kiro Moteru" if you enjoyed the author's other manga "Kengan Asura" yes. There's even an anime, adapated from the manga, that will be animated by the Japanese animation studio Doga Kobo that will be broadcast starting tomorrow!

I am excited to discuss the anime or the manga "Danberu Nan Kiro Moteru" (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift) and its theme as a fitness/health gym environment, too!

>threads are already complete cancer, first episode didn't even air yet
I'm still looking forward to the anime, since I'm enjoying the mango quite a lot.
Also sensei and zina are the best.
Feeling bad for the TL-user that dumped all the chapters, he doesn't deserve to post in these cancer threads

>anime talks about calories and diets

>PV is basically fat-shaming
imagine being so stupid that you comment on something you don't know about

lurk moar

I think he mentioned in one of the already, many, deleted threads that he feels a little guilty he couldn't guarantee his group's typesetter to regularly release the series. And also that it's frustrating posts were being deleted despite the hype a thread brings, it was entire threads being deleted. I feel bad for him, too.

I'm with you about being excited for the upcoming anime. It's literally mere hours away.

Why do the mods delete every post I make relating to this

Damn, this anime brings out more insecurity than your seasonal smutty drama. I can't wait for it to air.

they're deleting posts shittalking them for it so fast that the archive can't even keep up

correct
I don't care about your deadlift max

I hope the janny kills himself once this anime airs

Dumbass.

To be honest I go to the gym but have never posted nor lurked /fit/. I just want to waifufag Gyaru to be honest.

God at least post some pictures and name some things you'd like to see animated.
I for one would like to see the comiket episode with lifts of the north star and lewd cosplay

Post body, jannie

The benchpress chapter was cool but very uninformed.
There’s a lot of stabilization work that goes into the bpress like foot placement behind the knees, the valsalva maneuver, and utilization of pecs as the mover whereas a lot of people rely on the delta and triceps impeding overall growth.

It's the 2nd chapter of a 14 page chapter meant to introduce someone (using cute manga girls) to the activity called "a bench press." Like, "introduce" meaning "bring (something, especially a product, measure, or concept) into use or operation for the first time." It's basic. Like everything in the manga. It's basic, initial, beginner, "introduction" level explanations of what, why and how.

I wish /fit/ would stop blogging.

did your flabby arms jiggle while you were typing this?

Ai Fairouz's father is, indeed, Egyptian.

Attached: Ai Fairouz.jpg (225x326, 32K)

She isn't japanese. But I'm not Japanese so I don't give a shit.

Yeah, she's half-Egyptian.

pro-fit.co.jp/talent_fairouzai.html

If you skip to around 2:13 on her voice reel, you can hear her speaking Arabic fluently in an Egyptian dialect, too.

>アラビア語はエジプト方言
She was born in Tokyo based on her agency profile. The above just suggests she learnt Arabic.

Honestly I'm interested to see how they're going to do the informational sections. I imagine it being either a voiceover akin to airplane safety videos, or maybe a more detached 2d plain set of visuals interspersed with animation.
Either way it's going to be super fucking erotic

Attached: file.png (594x870, 369K)

>valsalva maneuver

Sounds lewd.

>kinni-kun
Haw. Very funny.
I know but that particular move is very technique heavy and if not taught correctly can lead to a plethora of injuries.
Current world record holder has like 10 different shoulder surgeries mostly due to ego lifting incorrectly.
kawaii as fuck.
That shade of brown hair is a heart throb for me.

Yea, looks easier than it is in the manga.
Actually making an effort to retract your shoulder blades is also missing.
I guess, but a bit more info about doing the exercise in way that's easier on your shoulder joint wouldn't have hurt.
At least the mango mentions the safety rack, a tip you only learn to appreciate once you've failed a set.

Attached: 1532748178247.png (715x1013, 207K)

Is she a muzzie?

>utilization of pecs as the mover whereas a lot of people rely on the delta and triceps impeding overall growth.
This information is relevant to my interests, do go on

Attached: arashi.png (600x382, 323K)

I meant not fully japanese. She's an half. But good job learning arabic. She looks a step above your usual VA. Hope she has great success.

To be mildly fair to MAAM, he is basically beginning is drawing career (3 years ago) drawing that chapter, so the balance Akemi has there isn't as obvious to him.

Doga Kobo, however, has a large amount of experience and will be outright animating it, so things like a squat being performed without sense-of-balance will likely not occur.
Akemi could still squat LOWER, though

Attached: Lower.webm (960x540, 891K)

It's the medical name for something you did so many times you don't even know.

>top left
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Center of gravity has been destroyed; welcome to Snap City.
It’s sort of simple, just a breathing pattern that utilizes your diaphragm as a suspension coil/stabilizer.
Huge respect for powerlifters that squat heavy loads without a belt—it’s tough shit.

I just hope that the animators do the forms correctly, the manga explains it well but if the animators draw shit wrong it's gonna be a waste.

>Doga Kobo, however, has a large amount of experience and will be outright animating it, so things like a squat being performed without sense-of-balance will likely not occur.
Hopefully it all looks like the Uzamaid ED. Dogakobo's given a lot of reasons for me to have faith in them over the years.

>utilization of pecs as the mover whereas a lot of people rely on the delta and triceps impeding overall growth.
Do tell how because I suck at it and switch to incline bench mainly because I can feel the stretch when doing that.

Attached: 1552873029848.jpg (136x207, 12K)

Seconded and agreed. a good form would be nice but I'm not holding my breath. I fully expect this to be something they don't care about as much as gym regulars do
I'll admit I'm only reading the manga now. I was hoping that form improvements would be part of character progression. Gains are the most satisfying part of the experience after all, so it would make sense to show progressive gains as a motivating factor

Could be, but I highly doubt that. Egyptian muzzies are as religious as they come and definitely wouldn't be voice acting for anime like this one. I'm willing to bet she's probably Coptic.

Ass to grass or go home.

A big part of the bench press is lowering motion that orients the pecs/arms/shoulders into the correct position—a lot of people rush into the bench making it an upward punching exercise putting their shoulders at risk.
With a slightly wider than shoulder grip the barbell makes a J-curve off the top of the lift onto the top of the chest. The shoulders actively change from forward facing to outward facing as the pectorals engage couching the weight upon decent.
Pro tip: the barbell only needs to travel as far as the pecs can drive it and only further when reracking the barbell.

>so things like a squat being performed without sense-of-balance will likely not occur.
Hopefully, but that really high bar squat they had in the PV suggests they might go loose with it.
In the end they're going to give us cute girls and anyone that actually tried a squat like that would realise it isn't right pretty quickly.

Mods are scared that Yea Forumsnons will make it which would result in Yea Forums's death

>Actually making an effort to retract your shoulder blades is also missing.
I think that just initial bad-wording for the translation right there on the page

>Bring it near your shoulder blades
the raws say
>肩甲肩を寄せる.
or more like
>Keep one's shoulders close together
>(retract your scapula)

A professional translation team via Seven Seas publication will have access to the series by November and release officially licensed volumes in a few months, so we'll get to laugh at the tl by comparison if you like.

>a lot of people rush into the bench making it an upward punching exercise putting their shoulders at risk.
So that's why my shoulders hurt like a bitch. The more you know.

Attached: 1540988439812.png (292x292, 86K)

Try warming up with a medium weight and allow the barbell to sit (NOT REST) on your chest to get blood flow into the pecs. Also make sure to arch your back holding a breath of air, with your ass and shoulders anchored to the bench and to use your thumbs: hook grip = suicide grip. Never ego lift, if you can’t do at least 3 reps cleanly don’t go for a 4th and don’t increase the weight.

That won't happen as long as /fit/spergs mantain their witty annoying attitude. That will always kill any interest in /fit/

This will like that camping anime that caused one user to ignite a huge fire except you’ll have anons checking into snap city.

Janny has low T levels

Well, it likely won't be as exacting, you're all 100% justified in feeling like it won't meet professional bodybuilding levels of expectation. You'll have to give it a mild pass on that. It is, in the end, a cute girls anime with the theme of weightlifting to set it's jokes and references in rather than the other way around.

But, I can assure you that will still mostly just apply to the cute girls!
...the background machos are a bit more detailed on form, though...

I’m not watching this for a strength conditioning replacement; I’m watching to see cute girls sweat in leggings .
No one is going to go full autist on this show aside from the boogyman kid crying about blog posting.

better go back where no one will make fun of your weight

Ah shiet I was wondering why my pecs always looked like gold but my arm mass didn't increase much with the bench press.

Autists will always be autists. The only difference is that /fit/izens can pass for chads by keeping their mouths shut (if they actually practice what they preach). Just ignore the cunts like you do on every board and /fit/ becomes a really motivational place filled with people wanting to achieve a common goal.

Danberu just so happens to be a nice bridge between these 2 worlds. I'm curious to see what migrations happen in the next season following this anime

Will the anime cover enough to get to Jason Sgatham's intro? Or Hibiki's chuuni brother?

>A professional translation team via Seven Seas publication will have access to the series by November and release officially licensed volumes in a few months,
As much as I appreciate Rakuen Translations and TL friend who comes here every so often for bringing us Danberu for 3 years now, I am almost as excited to buy the official English volumes when they come out Nov. 19. I've never purchased an officially translated manga before, but I'm actually looking forward to it for this. I want to see the differences in tls, quality and most importantly give money to the series in a measurable way.

Kind of interested in comparing the instructions if there are any more mistakes.

Triceps pull downs and benched dips are great old school tricep builders. For biceps, strongly recommend pull ups or basic barbell curls with a wide grip pronated grip. Shipmates gripbalso works but with a normal width grip.

I'm not too familiar with this stuff so I'm not expecting body builder accuracy, but since half of the manga is teaching you basic things and trying to get people into it they should try to get it right, otherwise like that user said I won't be surprised if some people get hurt trying to learn it from this.

more

So focus on the downward motion and use a slightly wider grip? Thanks, I'll try to improve my technique when I hit the bench tomorrow.

Ani Tore had great informative threads, probably because it wasn't a very popular anime. I hope things can settle down to that level.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Ani Tore! EX - 04 [720p].mkv_snapshot_00.25_[2015.11.03_10.42.04].jpg (1280x720, 214K)

Supinated not shipmates*

>we won't be able to have decent threads talking about how cute/sexy the girls are because /fit/tards need to discuss their gains or whatever autistic shit they normally discuss on their own board

another series ruined by crossboard scum

trust me. people don't need a guide to get hurt doing exercises. This anime could depict perfect form in every way and some bainlet will try to bench 80 after warming up with an empty bar and clipping so their weights don't slip

>Deliberately moving the text around to hide the cameltoe

/fit/ can you please stop ruining these threads? I really enjoy the managak's work and would like these threads to stay on topic.

I can appreciate the necessity of going through the lift slowly for the reasons you stated and others. However, it seems like the only way you could hurt your shoulders that way (aside from muscle imbalances) is if you have super narrow shoulders that aren't capable of bearing much weight. Of course, my musings are only for beginner benching under 3pl8.

/lgbt/ is 30 boards down

Yeah, don’t let it just fall down, really get the motion of it coming down. It would be best to have someone film your form to see how your elbows are positioning themselves. A grip that is too narrow will have your elbows and shoulders doing a lot of the work and from your perspective lying down it’s impossible to tell the difference. Make sure your hands are dry too, a slightly wide grip that doesn’t have the traction will allow the barbell to slip out of your hand and onto your shoulder. Also good luck breh, you’re gonna make it.
This makes me very unhappy.
Didn’t like in TLR don’t like it now.

cope

>Jason Sgatham's intro?
He shows up first (unnamed) in Chapter 31, and then not again until (named) Chapter 37, which is after the Harnnold Classic. So, not likely, no.
Harnnold Dogegenzenegger himself is really only showing up because of how soon he appears (unnamed) in the manga's 4koma extras, but they may alter that for the anime because of how popular he is I mean, they're outright putting him in the last few seconds of their PV to market the show
>Or Hibiki's chuuni brother?
Similarly, he doesn't show up until Chapter 41-42, so probably not.

Based on how little we see of Zina and the general adaptation standard set of 2-3 chapters adpated per episode, I expect the anime to cover Chapters 1 - 25 or so. Zina might appear earlier for the anime than in the manga for "more cute girls' sake" and it might just outright change placement for chapters, but yeah.

Attached: Chapter 5 - Planks (16).png (800x1134, 970K)

I doubt you can get hurt trying to squat like since you'll most likely fail to perform a squat in that position to begin with.
here.

There's literally a reference to Attack on Titan in an upcoming chapter.

>deliberately
Typesetting is difficult. Either he makes one part of the text too small, or he blocks the part where she's actually lifting the barbell. Sometimes you have to make a sacrifice. Unless you want him to start putting all the text outside of the boxes, but then that makes redrawing that much harder. As someone with a lot of experience, mangaka don't seem to take in consideration how English text will work in their panels.

I can respect that, but a lot of people don’t use the proper grip width since everyone is built different. That’s all.
I’m saying this because I learned the hard way.

w a n t.

Attached: file.png (338x372, 96K)

If they're male, I don't think adding 17.5 lbs to either side after warming up with the bar is horribly demanding of a beginner. IIRC I started out benching ~100 lbs 4x5

>underboob
>sweaty happy zone
>dat belly
This and sensei... oh man.

Ah, that makes sense. Mind giving me a little advice? I have pretty broad shoulders and it's a balancing act to get both of my shoulder blades to balance on the bench before I even try lifting. Some guys at my gym say it's best to dig your shoulder blades into the bench while doing a benchpress - would there be any issues with me not worrying about my shoulder blades?

>so you’re here bandits
>I came here to laugh at you
is all I see.

Yo I have no fkin clue when ep 1 actually drops. Can I get a time and timezone so I don't sleep through the thread?

>not Yuri
Dropped

They’re right, with the proper grip your shoulder blades will naturally and mechanically retract.
Think of it like an upside-down push up: notice how the shoulders adjust to get into position. What they’re trying to convey is that when arching your back your shoulders/scapulae will act like a foundation during the bpress.
A good way to imagine the grip in relation to your shoulder is , imagine you’re trying to bend the barbell in your hands. A lot of people have told me that mentally actives the right position and it worked for me but not most people.
Try it with a lighter weight.
Seconding this.

Well, goof ups, sure a few. But most of it is extremely well localized. I guess a few things I can remember:
>Director Deire KuTarou, not KuDarou
Probably just a consistency issue, but yeah, his name is wrong. Early scans might have gotten a symbol different or something.
>Silverman Gym, not Silverman's Gym
This is actually because the reference is more to "Kinnikuman" more than "Gold's Gym" but this gets a complete pass because "Gold's Gym" is a better, and later, more used reference.
>Christmas Cake Sensei love of cosplay is focused on EROTIC cosplay more than just anything
>All the "dick jokes" of that samurai chapter are actually changed "bald" jokes
Again, kind of a pass because, well, they are also dick jokes. In Japanese, the bald jokes are way more offensive than English bald jokes, so it works out.
