Can someone explain me why zero no tsukaima is considered so good? All I can see is a generic shitty anime with pretty bland and basic characters, yet everytime I see people talk about it they say it's pretty good. The only good thing I could find that I really liked was the way the two worlds kinda blend together at some points (like the tale of the dragon that ended up just being an airplane).
Apparently the anime put a emphasis on the harem shit instead of the actual interesting stuff
The manga and light novel were better, in that Louise was way less abusive.

I like all official versions, and with there was both more of them and lewder ones.
One of my biggest issues with the anime is that it clearly feels as though it was made with the thought that they weren't going to get a second season. I think if they knew it was going to be as popular as it was the anime would have been much more faithful to the light novel.
I wish it was possible to have a ZnT remake, and if they were going to make changes pick a better kind.

If I remember right it was a combination of Louise kind of coming on to him and him thinking he's the protagonist in a harem fantasy since he got summoned to another world/its all a dream.
Was a Tiger tank in the original source material? Were there other real life weapons that were not featured in the anime as sacred magical weapons? Its interesting to have these things as a plot device but it becomes overwhelming and boring if there's too much like what happened with Gate. They're pretty cool when they are used as a tool to counter magic.
