What if anime and manga depicted the Japanese more realistically?

They would lose moe. A pivotal key in this generations anime/manga.
I'd stop enjoying them. I read manga and anime not for realism, but for escapism.
Watch live action Tv then
That's what live action adaptions are for
Name one culture on Earth that predominately portrays characters realistically in their comics.
Some do.
that's how you get aku no hana
as Yea Forums will testify most American comics characters are fucking retarded which is pretty true to life
but they're not obese
there are tons of authors that do that
that's too much fucking work unless you rotoscope the damn thing. If your rotoscoping it for the realistic proportions and faces, why even bother animating it and just do live action. Aku no hana didn't need to be an anime for example.
Ping Pong
Are you forgetting the shitshow that was Aku no Hana?
Asano Inio is great
Then we would be reading Koike or Ikegami. What you're really asking is: "what if we can never find satisfaction in fulfilling our standards of realism?"
>more realistically
Then it would be as shit as western media
it's called 3DPD for a reason
I love more realism in drama centered manga or ones that are just fucked like Homunculus.
Otomo
>inb4 author of Aku no Hana
I am a hero is actually great
Jin Roh
liz and the blue bird
A bunch do, but you dont notice it because you dont read enough.
Most of the time we'll not be able to tell various charachters apart
Can't there be both at the same time?
Do you really want to see obese superheroes.
Don't be a weeaboo, user. I would not say X-Files is realistic show.
It'd be interesting if it did so for some characters, especially minor ones, but is correct, mukokuseki is a key component of moe.
