I remember it was one of the first things I torrented when I was like 9 or something. I thought it was kinda meh and went to watch gundam seed instead or something.

It's got Gundam enemies. Yes. GUNDAM enemies, 65 foot tall robots, as foot soldiers. And the samurai main characters cut them down by slicing their wires and shit inside like it's the easiest thing they've done all week. Then for some reason 3/4th of them died anyway by the end of it.

Good show. Imperial side was kinda unnecessary in the grand scheme of things, though. Should've kept it simple "samurai vs bandits" like the movie it was based on.
