Also, well, I have to say the 2 friendly protag in Kimetsu no yaibe are really annoying at first, but they evolve nicely and become much less of a pain as the story is going on. But the wall to pass is indeed quite tall.

I thought the same thing at first but try to at least get episode 6 ( I think) when he meets all his teammates on the black bulls. It gets way better and then you start seeing how based asta really is.

I was honestly surprised by how unlikeable they made him, his character design and breath of lightning looked so badass in the OP.
I skimmed through the wiki and it does look like he gets better over time but so far he's the worst part of the show.

This. I barely made it through the first 5 episodes of BC. The endless Asta screaming was insufferable. I dont blame anyone who dropped it because of him.
He does get better though, and they tone down the screaming a lot to where he only does it in proper contexts. Still, completely fucking annoying.

He remains an huge pussy(albeit a more heroic one) but him jobbing is fairly amusing. Basically, you will know if you like him by the time they began to recover after the spider forest.
