i used to really like berserk but wow fuck the storyline. if there's anything to appreciate about the manga, it's how to draw gorey action in a cool and easy to follow way.

storyline was alright in the beginning, granted it got kind of shit after golden/conviction arc but nex chapter will have the chance to redeem that by actually doing the casca-guts reunion

Honestly probably a good thing. I had a great time theorizing over the idea that Griffith will go after Rickert and repeat a whole Void/Gaiseric situation over being slapped like the cunt he is. Well Guts would be the 3rd party existing outside the destine fate somehow fucking shit up in a bitter sweet ending. Skully/Gaiseric referenced a dying sun awhile ago before the ToC which seems to support a idea of good thingy. So Guts dying but fucking up the cycle the IoE got going in place for a few centuries at best would be rad.

Unfortunately I feel like hes gonna ham it if ever gets around to it and make it a really shallow finisher compared to the rest of the series.

No. Really. I regret reading it. I'm not much into manga and series because I can't stand unfinished works and Berserk is a torture for me.

It isn't hard to avoid ongoing or frequent hiatus series. That isn't a problem with manga, it's a problem with several series that are infamous for it.

lmao the entire reason the manga has been on hiatus for the past 50 years is because Miura got over his depression and doesn't know how to end the manga anymore after writing himself into a bad ending.

He himself admitted that the way he saw and had imagined the story has changed due to that exact reason and that he wants all the characters to have a happy ending now, which is quite literally impossible with the shit he pulled in the first 10 years.
