Newcomers don't get the same feeling about 5ds I can tell you that. It is your nostalgia glasses that make you idolize it so much. My first ygo series was zexal and I would have never tought anyone would call them bad before discovering online forums like these. To me it is still the perfect ygo series, though.

No nostalgia glasses here, I grew up with the original, and wasn't really attracted by 5ds and the riding duels, only recently I watched it from start to end and it was really good, it isn't perfect, god knows I wanted to kill myself during the duel between Luna and the professor but endured it and it was really good, I really enjoyed the WRPG and Ark Craddle, despite what most people think about those arcs.
