As controversial as you may think it is but the point of such storylines is to show the MC overcoming his hatred and learning to move on without feeling the constant need to kill everyone even remotely related to the original betrayal.
Of course it's done badly here but that does not really matter.
You can see stories where this is not done in those meme revenge porn thingies like the one with the healer or all of those dumb as shit chink (i will kill everything even remotely connected to you because you looked at me wrong) stories.

Well, yeah. Even in Western isekai, the protagonists tend to take proactive action when they get pissed off.

There's one story about a group that gets stuck in an RPG by an insane friend of theirs, now God. Instead of playing along, they lure him out by destroying the capital city he created for them, and then they jump him in an attempt to bushwack him.

I'd rate it a 5 or so but I did like the first arc. If the rest of the story could have been like this instead of degenerating into generic isekai powerlevel dick measuring contest it could probably have been interesting.

As it is only Motoyasu was even mildly antagonistic, and mostly due to being dumb as shit. All of them should have been proper cunts and tortured and humiliated him in various ways.

3. Filo should have been brainwashed and taken by Motoyasu, full on fucking NTR-style.

4. Naofumi himself should at some point or several points have been tortured and physically abused as well. Blood Sacrifice is not enough. More betrayals in general.

5. Raphtalia not killing the noble was the lamest shit what the fuck man.

6. The assassination plot against Melty should have succeeded.

7. The monopoly guy looking slaver should have played a bigger role and Naofumi should have had to go through several slaves until he got one that didn't die on him. Him having to do dirty deeds to pay off slaver guy should have been a plot point.
