He is always an unruly wild child, but they made that sequence too fucking long and emphasized too much on the violence. There is even a frame of Zenitsu's blood splashing on the ground like he was being eviscerated. At the same time, Tanjirou looks like an indecisive retard who just stood there and watch his friend being brutally assaulted. It's almost uncomfortable to watch.

No, the anime added in him experiencing flashbacks to his family's death and it's very obvious to anyone that isn't an absolute retard that the anime was showing him suffering from a PTSD episode and temporarily couldn't move because of the recalled trauma.

The anime messed up a lot of the Kyogai fight with their skipping thoughts and narration because it doesn't explain any of Tanjiro's thoughts. It added way more papers and then made him deliberately avoid all of them without ever explaining why.

I doubt I was praising them last week but obviously they can objectively have bad episodes. This was the second terrible episode and the way it panders to the character with the biggest annoying fanbase, it says bad things for the future of the anime since he'll be a recurring character. The last bad episode was because they refused to speed up the pace to more than two chapters but now they are willing to add filler to slow it down to less than two chapters.

I thought Boarfags knew the character they seem to worship, Inosuke was a prick early on and ufotable adapted that 1:1 from the source material, it needed the whole Spider Arc for him to be handled a reality check so Inosuke would know how not invincible he actually was.
Inosuke becomes far more cooperative and empathic towards others shortly after, him actually saving people during the train arc shows his change firsthand, later he basically clings to Tanjirou like a good little brother wanting to learn about the world.
