No.

did you make this post just so i could post this picture

that's neat I forgot that happened

If all the hints that he’s gonna betray the party and use Gut’s behelit to become a surprise final boss turn out to be red herrings; Abso-fucking-lutely
If Muira actually follows through; it would depend on how well he pulls it off.

FPBP

No, the story would be improved if the author remembered where he was going with the build up for half the characters though

Chibi Puck is the best thing that happened to Berserk

Remove Isidro, Schierke, Farnese and Serpico (post-Schierke) and Manifico, keep Puck, Casca and the other two

>It’s explicitly stated that every Behelit has a fated owner and it will inevitably be used once found
>Puck constantly expresses a claim of ownership on it, and is possessive to the point of fighting with Guts to keep him from throwing it away
>No other character, be they ally enemy or incidental bystander, has expressed any interest in the thing for hundreds of chapters it’s been around
What do YOU think is being built up to that you look down on me then user?

I don't understand how he is
1. Alive
2. Still optimistic

Guts would be dead. You couldn't write Guts the same way and have him survive without Puck doggedly sticking with him. So I suppose if you only liked Golden Age and are in the "hurry up and end end end!" crowd it'd be an improvement.

But otherwise absolutely not. Puck's importance to Guts' character arc after the eclipse cannot be overstated. Guts was slowly spiraling into the abyss mentally, and quickly breaking down physically with his risk taking, self destructive fighting style. Puck befriending Guts is what largely saved him from both of those inevitable fates. People who don't really give a shit about this story are very quick to say the "uncool" characters have no narrative value and that is patently fucking false, especially in this case.

Might as well ask "Would the story be better without Black Swordsman and Conviction?'

I just wish they'd give Puck something to do in the recent chapters besides spout fucking corny jokes constantly. Puck hasn't been relevant as a character in way too long, and the manga in general has grown stale from there being too many characters in Guts's crew currently.

>the other two
So just Potato Casca, Puck, Roderick and Hobo Azan?

was he ever relevant?

Puck's major time to shine was Black Swordsman and the beginning of Conviction (LC chapter); notably the parts of the story where Guts was at his absolute lowest point. Basically Puck is the little light that burns brightest when Guts is in the dark, but pales when Guts is in a good, bright place. That's why as soon as Guts forsakes the path of miserable self destruction and finds new purpose, Puck immediately steps out of the spotlight and becomes a comic relief health potion.

A scene that sticks out to me is when Guts is heading to Albion and meets Skullknight. Puck's first thought is to introduce himself and explain to SK: "Guts may not look it, but he could really use more friends"

And true to form, when Guts gets more friends (after trying to have Puck babysit Casca does not work) it's like Puck can stop hovering and relax. Because Guts is in a good place mentally, Puck gets to slack off and joke around (when not keeping him healed between fights)

YES, see the post above mine. He was also a really great contrast to Guts in general, the dynamic just got hampered as the story went on with potato casca and Farnese.

Here's the page. It's played for laughs (of course) but it's still sweet when you think about their dynamic leading up to this. Puck's relationship with Guts is nice but gets way less focus when Puck's empathic ability is less needed.

But then, in a way, Puck's physical healing powers are more important than ever what with the way the Berserker Armor works.

Puck was the catalyst for the goal of the past several volumes, was he not? The entire journey to Elfhelm was due to Puck's guidance.

Attached: Berserk_v22_p106.png (1223x1800, 536K)

I'm hoping that when shit hits the fan at Elfhelm, Puck will get a similar amount of spotlight as Lost Children since it's his hometown.

Absolutely, that things ruins every serious or quiet moment, and takes away from the atmosphere.

No, pre-Sheirke Farnese and Serpico are fine

I'll be sadder if Puck dies than pretty much any other side character.

This. He was great until he turned into Chestnut Puck. Now he's just annoying and obnoxious.

>pre-Sheirke Farnese
You mean half-crazy and crushed beneath the Vandimion name, or end-of-Conviction lost, pitiful and confused?

Watch the 1997 adaptation and find out

Why bother with an incomplete prologue when the manga exists?

Attached: Berserk_v2_p087.png (1224x1800, 595K)

Early Berserk? No. He served several necessary purposes. Recent Berserk? Yes. The purposes he serves are all done by other characters now.

Remove all of them BUT Schierke
There, fixed.

Fuck 97, read the manga. 97 cuts out a few things like Wyald which is lame as fuck.

Remove all of them but Schierke, Jill, Isma, Erica, Ivalera, Chitch, and Prome

So is there any news on a new chapter? He just kind of came back after a long time, did one chapter, then ditched it again?

I see you're a man of culture and excitement.

would be the best ending for this series. that or if guts uses the behelit to sacrifice the band of the useless faggot children to become an apostle so he could get into the stupid fucking god hand and suck griffiths fat birdie dick like he has always wanted to throughout the series

Attached: 1559965273825.png (500x373, 185K)

The first anime adaptation was pretty much this and it was great.

you fucking KNOW guts wants griffiths seed flowing down his muscular chest and all in his throat while guts hols griffiths ass cheeks like handlebars on a bike, all while the entire god hand gets cuck because they all wanted a piece of griffiths big shmeaty black dick

Is it me or Guts form the first chapters is much less buff than he was by the end of Golden Age?

retard

It actually makes anime more consistent in tone and style. Wyald and pajeet assassins were just to goofy.

Chestnut puck needs to fuck off.

thats all you can argue because you cant deny the fact. retard.

I want to pour hot wax on him and make an elf candle.

I dunno, a lot of 97 felt goofy to me with some of the pacing and animation. Voice acting had some laughably bad moments too. That's just me, though. I'm a manga fag when it comes to Berserk.

>People really think that Berserk would be improved if it was nothing but a 30 year long golden age arc with very little levity or comedic relief.
Yeah no. You all are just too up your own asses about this because of all the hiatuses.

Jar jar binks tier

people who hate post-golden age berserk are the biggest plebs imaginable. Imagine reading a story about a damaged person overcoming his personal trauma and regaining his humanity by building meaningful relationships with his new allies and thinking "this should be more grimdark for no reason"

I just want cute Puck back instead of the chestnut memelord we have now.

This. Normal Puck is fine, honestly. Going full chestnut was a mistake, I think.

I like levity. I liked Puck early on. Chestnut Puck is stupid, though. He was an actual character who served a purpose in early Berserk. You have plenty of levity and better comedy from the rest of the party now. His roles as Guts' healer and lighter side have been taken over by other party members. He serves no purpose other than being a 4th wall breaking memester. Which is not the type of comedy I enjoy.

Soooo new chapter should be coming around soon? right......?

Sure user, sure.

does miura like feet

and little kids and rape

i want Puck to pole dance on my cock

>remove Isidro

Remove yourself

Why can't we have both?

I watched anime first and then got into the manga. I missed the stuff that the manga included, like the chase scenes after they rescued Griffith and the impending 'what the fuck is this, what the fuck is that, why are there monsters' right before the Eclipse, but the anime was also very good stylistically and had great direction.

The last episode and the cut right at the end when Guts screams into the credits was excellent. it's kind of dumb because it raises the question on how the fuck Guts escaped, but it just felt like a much better finish to the arc.

Also, the anime gave us
>I'M WAITING SO LONG, I'M WAITING SO LONG, I'M WAITING SO LONG, I'M WAIIIIIITING

Attached: Berserk credits.jpg (1280x720, 57K)

Miura's style has been all over the fucking place
>Choose your Guts

Attached: Guts.jpg (1500x3259, 1.76M)

based

Miura has always been a sucker for cute above all. Truly refined taste.

For me, it's 19 and 24.

Well said.

Vol3. I like Guts more without the ultra chad jawline

it would be unironically worse

No, Puck is cute

kill Caska after the eclipse
make Luca a permanent party companion that little by little make Guts get over his guilt
