Rei Q is showing some promise as a character - she basically started as how all Rei first did as a blank slate artificial creation, and quickly demonstrated over just 1 movie that she wanted to discover who she truly is and ditched Gendo and his orders to follow after Asuka and Shinji instead. So I don't think the Rei fanbase should just shun her for not being the dumb moe Rei from 2.0.
