Fuck no, of course it wasn't. Pretty much everything in it is retconned, Pain is a lousy antagonist absolutely void of charisma, it's boring and the only thing anyone remembers is Naruto finally coming to save the day, it's really just crap.

The high point is actually, unironically, Sasuke Retrieval. People like to say "Zabuza" because mreh nostalgia or something like it makes you sound more legit, but Sasuke Retrieval had awesome fights, awesome rescues, an awesome climax, and most importantly, failure. The hero loses at the very end. What a promising conclusion.

This, Sasuke Retrieval arc is the best part of Naruto, Chunin Exams are overrated.

This is still a shounen that has to have some sort of conclusive ending. Sasuke just fucking off and it ending right there would have probably burned down Jump.

It has a cool old lady, a cool villain, it shows how an ex-villain has grown into a better person, and it has a bit of a downer ending to show that not everything will always go right

They literally said that he didnt 100% master it and he needs the help of clones to even stay in it long enough. He got better at it as time went on but never a true master. He just wasn't as froggy as Jiraya was.

You're right about the rest, although Pain reviving everyone really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's kind of okay to end the series on a positive note.

My favorite thing about Pain was the concept of the final boss being 6 bodies working as a team.

I do not remember the part about Kurama rejecting the frogs. Anyone got a screenshot? Cause I remember it being more that he couldnt stay in that form normally since it ran out too fast which is why he basically used the clones as E tanks

Naruto peaked when Zabuza started crying and everything else was downhill from there. Even the pain arc (which is the second best arc) pales in comparison. Naruto TNJ'ing Nagato makes no fucking sense at all and the fact that everyone except Jiraiya got ressurected is bullshit.

In my local Naruto forum during this arc, people actually bitched more than usual and I get it. It was 1.5 year long? It didn't seem it would ever end, it was too long. Also the death baiting was so bad, when Nagato decided to revive everyone. TNJed him to death. It was so bad. For me, I didn't like the action nor characters. Too boring for me.

Hinata was worthless in that fight nevertheless.

Not sure anymore Tbh since 2015 the rating was rising which I didn't expect because series like one piece, Sao, death note, angel beats and fairy tail were dropping by score.
I think it has something to do with the weird feeling where you start to appreciate or like Naruto more after finishing it.
